Bayern Munich successfully re-negotiate terms on Kingsley Coman's sale to Al-Nassr
Given a second chance to make things tight, Eberl has managed to secure a small victory for himself. The FCB boss nevertheless still has plenty on his docket in the coming days, most exigently figuring a way out of the absolute mess that Bayern's pursuit of Stuttgart attacker Nick Woltemade has become. Eberl and staff must now decide of Woltemade is worth a €75m investment.
The German giants get set to open up competitive play in a DFL Supercup showdown against Stuttgart on Saturday. Coman shall serve as the last in a long line of regular attacking stalwarts lost this summer. Thomas Müller and Leroy Sané have already left. Bayern prepare to bank on the potential of young attacking prospects such as Lennart Karl in the coming season.

América reportedly offer Brian Rodríguez four-year extension after Al Rayyan deal collapses
Inter Miami also showed interest Rodríguez has 111 appearances with América Scored 27 goals for the club Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? The transfer saga surrounding Brian Rodríguez has come to an end, with the Uruguayan forward set to remain at Club América. The Mexican giants have reportedly offered him a four-year contract extension. Qatari side Al Rayyan had been prepared to pay close to $10 million for Rodríguez - whose market value is estimated at $7 million - but the deal has now fallen through. América's proposal would extend his current contract, originally expiring in June 2026, through 2030. THE BIGGER PICTURE Rodríguez, now 25, joined América in 2022 and has since played 111 official matches across all competitions, registering 27 goals and 18 assists. Over the summer, there was also interest from Inter Miami - something the player himself confirmed. His agent was notably active in making comments about the winger's future, but in the end Rodríguez chose to remain in Mexico, believing it gives him a stronger chance of securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup. WHAT BRIAN RODRÍGUEZ'S AGENT SAID The player's agent, Edgardo Lasalvia, expressed his frustration with América's handling of the situation in an interview with ESPN. He argued the club 'should have renewed him earlier and not just 10 months before the contract expires, since in four months the player could sign a pre-contract and América would receive no money.' Even so, Lasalvia dismissed that possibility, stressing, 'This is not our way; we have always been grateful to the clubs that open their doors to us.' WHAT NEXT FOR CLUB AMÉRICA? Las Águilas face Tigres tonight in Matchday 5 of the Apertura 2025.

Official: Šeško completes move to Man Utd
RB Leipzig confirmed the transfer of Benjamin Šeško to Manchester United as the Slovenian International joined the Premier League side for €76.5 million. The clubs also agreed upon an easily achievable €8.5 million bonus payment, which will take the transfer fee to €85 million. Newcastle United were the first to send an official bid, but the player was keen to join the 20-time league winners. He'll make his first Old Trafford appearance when the club host Fiorentina in a friendly today. Šeško scored 39 goals and assisted 8 in 87 matches for Leipzig in all competitions. Josko Gvardiol's move to the other Manchester club, Man City, is still the most expensive transfer involving Leipzig.

Luis Díaz scores for Bayern to win German Supercup on his debut
BERLIN -- Luis Díaz scored and won a title on his Bayern Munich debut after a 2-1 win over Stuttgart in the German Supercup on Saturday. Harry Kane also scored for the Bundesliga champion to win the least important trophy of the season, opening the scoring in the 18th minute when the ball dropped kindly for him to shoot inside the left post. 'To start with a trophy is the most important thing,' Kane said after winning just his second career team title. The Bundesliga in May was his first. Bayern dominated the early stages but Stuttgart fought back with Nick Woltemade drawing a good save from Manuel Neuer. Woltemade was and possibly still is a summer transfer target for Bayern. The clubs have so far been unable to agree on a fee despite the player's openness to the move. 'The file is closed,' Stuttgart chief executive Alexander Wehrle said before the game. Díaz joined Bayern from Liverpool last month and remains the club's biggest deal of the offseason. Neuer produced an outstanding reflex save to deny Jamie Leweling two minutes before Díaz scored in the 77th when Leweling was receiving off-field treatment after clashing knees with Bayern's Sacha Boey. 'Undoubtedly painful, but still, and perhaps unpopular, but he needs to feel the pain on the field and not two meters away from it,' Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß said. Leweling recovered and headed Stuttgart's answer in stoppage time. It's the fourth year that German soccer officials have staged what was the traditional curtain-raiser for the season on the same weekend as the first round of the German Cup, forcing the participants to postpone their cup games. Stuttgart starts its title defense at Eintracht Braunschweig on Aug. 26 with Bayern playing third-division side Wehen Wiesbaden the following day. Wolfsburg routed fifth-tier SV Hemelingen 9-0 in the first round of the German Cup, and other Bundesliga teams also enjoyed big wins over lower-league opposition. Two-time champion Leipzig twice came from behind to beat fourth-tier SV Sandhausen 4-2 with new signings Ezechiel Banzuzi and Yan Diomande scoring. Heidenheim won at 10-man fourth-tier Bahlinger SC 5-0, Hoffenheim won at third-division Hansa Rostock 4-0, and Freiburg won at fourth-tier club Sportfreunde Lotte 2-0. Hamburger SV, which clinched its return to the Bundesliga last season, survived a scare at fifth-tier Pirmasens, equalizing late to send the match to extra time, where Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer headed the winner for 2-1. Königsdörffer was playing for Hamburg only because a proposed early August move to Nice broke down after his medical check with the French team. Bochum also needed a late goal to level before prevailing at nine-man Dynamo Berlin 3-1. St. Pauli needed penalties to get past fourth-tier Hamburg rival Eintracht Norderstedt, while fourth-tier Bavarian team FV Illertissen upset Miroslav Klose's Nuremberg by winning 6-5 on penalties after their game ended 3-3 with extra time. Also, second-division side Darmstadt won at fourth-tier Lübeck 2-1, and third-division Energie Cottbus won 1-0 to upset Hannover, which is playing in the division above.
