Ontario police look for shooting suspect who may be in Montreal

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are looking for a suspect involved in an Upper Ottawa Valley shooting who may be in Montreal.
The shooting happened on March 22 when a man fired in the hallway of an apartment building on Wolfe Avenue in Petawawa. Police later learned the suspect targeted the wrong home.
No injuries were reported.
The shooter reportedly fled on foot and is still at large. OPP believe he is in the Montreal area.
The suspect is described as a white male between 30 and 40 years old, about 5′10″ with a thin build who was last seen wearing a dark-coloured medical mask, dark jacket and dark pants.
He is considered armed and a potential risk to public safety. If seen, people are urged to call 9-1-1 and to not approach the individual.
Search warrants were obtained in Ontario and Quebec on Thursday as part of the investigation.
Eight people were arrested and charged with a total of 47 offences.
During the investigation, police seized the following items quantities:
Nine millimetre handgun with serial number removed
Two replica handguns
Ammunition
17,000 suspected methamphetamine tablets
15.5 kg suspected cocaine
12.3 kg suspected fentanyl
124 g suspected crack cocaine
3,000 suspected hydromorphone tablets
112 g suspected crystal methamphetamine
Jewelry valued at $150,000
More than $264,000 in Canadian currency
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is more than $2.5 million.

Police say on May 29, staff of a store near Gordon Street and Clair Road reported a man inside the store they believed had been involved in two earlier thefts. Nearly $1,300 in cosmetics were stolen on April 15 and another $1,200 were stolen on May 4, according to police. 'No theft occurred May 29 as it is believed the man realized staff were watching him and left the store,' police said in a media release. 'He is described as having tanned skin, 5'10', 200 pounds with dark hair. Staff saw him getting into a grey Dodge Caravan." A man in his 20s was rushed to the hospital following a single-vehicle collision on June 8 near Dundas Street West and Shorncliffe Road. The crash, which Toronto police said happened around noon and involved a driver striking a concrete barrier trapping them inside, happened near Dundas Street West and Shorncliffe Road, just west of Kipling Avenue. Police said a man in his 20s was transported to a trauma centre via emergency run, but the extent of his injuries are not yet known. Shorncliffe is closed in both directions as police investigate.

Toronto police speak to reporters about what happened and the latest details regarding the victim and suspect(s) who fled. A male in his teens has died following a late-night shooting in Toronto's west end, police say. Toronto police responded to reports of gunfire near Emmett Avenue and Jane Street just after 10 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, they say they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he later died of his injuries. 'This investigation is still in the very early stages,' Det. Philip Campbell told reporters at a news conference Sunday afternoon. 'What I can tell you is that the victim is a male in his teens.'
