West Ham United vs Aston Villa LIVE: Women's Super League latest score, goals and updates from fixture
The new Women's Super League marks the start of a new era for reigning champions Chelsea, with long-serving boss Emma Hayes having departed in summer to start a new adventure with the USA Women's team.
Last year they just about did enough to claim the title on goal difference ahead of Manchester City, while Arsenal will again hope to make it a three-horse race for the WSL title. Meanwhile Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham will hope to progress after further rebuilding this summer.
Crystal Palace were promoted to replace Bristol City in the top flight, while on a wider note, the league is now under the management and operation of a new organisation set up to lead women's football towards further growth and progression, with Nikki Doucet overseeing both the WSL and Championship in a new phase for the game.

Bukayo Saka left out of England's squad to face Andorra after knock
Bukayo Saka has been left out of England's squad for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Andorra. Thomas Tuchel's side continue the road to next summer's tournament at the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona against the side ranked 173rd in the world. A minor injury saw Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins leave the camp on the eve of the Group K clash, while Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher and Arsenal forward Saka will miss the Andorra game after being left out of the matchday squad submitted to UEFA. Tuchel revealed Saka was suffering with a knock on Friday but thinks he can feature in Tuesday's friendly against Senegal. 'It's nice to see that he's back because he wanted to be back, and you straight away see when he comes in that he is comfortable to be with the squad, he knows what it takes to be a national player,' the England boss said. 'He came into camp with a little bit of discomfort from the last match against Southampton, so we took care of him and treated him individually until (Friday) basically. 'It was the first training session that he started and finished with the group. (Thursday), he started with the group but did not finish with the group, so let's see. 'I'm not sure if we take the risk for the game. The decision has not been taken, but he will be available for the Senegal match, and he plays a major role in our thoughts of how to build a competitive team.'

Viljami Sinisalo reveals ruthless Celtic plan is right on track as numbers point to Kasper Schmeichel inevitability
Sinisalo is prepared to be patient as he knows his turn as Celtic No1 is only a matter of time Viljami Sinisalo insists his plan to dislodge Kasper Schmeichel and become Celtic 's first choice keeper is right on track. The former Aston Villa shot stopper deputised for the Great Dane while he was out injured towards the end of last season, donning the gloves for his Old Firm derby bow against Rangers at Ibrox. He also plays second fiddle with Finland to Lukas Hradecky, but has made it clear his ambition is to usurp Schmeichel while on international duty with his country. Sinisalo said: "Kasper has one year left on his contract. I have four. We are proceeding according to plan. I am 15 years younger than him. "Hopefully next season I'll get more minutes. I'll just try to play as well as I can when the opportunity arises. We'll see what happens. "Kasper is an excellent guy. He supported our team well and gave us tips when he was out with an injury. We are a good team together. "Every footballer wants to play. However, I knew that in front of me was an experienced top goalkeeper who is, so to speak, coming to the end of his career. "And that I am the young goalkeeper who is more of a project behind him. There must be some patience from me. "But the plan is to be the first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic one day and hopefully that will open doors for me here on the national team as well." Sinisalo impressed during his spell as Schmeichel's replacement, which included an Old Firm game at Ibrox He said: "Even though the end of the season was disappointing because we didn't win all three trophies, I enjoyed it "I played seven of the last ten games. I'm quite happy with what I achieved towards the end of the season. "I got to experience what it's like to be a Celtic goalkeeper and I got to play in the match that won the league. "I lifted that trophy with a slightly better conscience because I had played a part in winning it myself. "And it was cool to experience the game at Ibrox. There were a few nerves before the game - 95 per cent of the crowd were home fans, every one of whom hates you. "I will definitely remember the experience forever."
