Lou Teasdale says she dumped Andy Carroll despite claims he ended things

Influencer Lou Teasdale has denied reports that former England striker Andy Carroll broke up with her, claiming instead that she was the one to end the relationship. The split comes just over a year after the pair began dating and a few weeks after reports that they were questioned twice by police in Greece following heated rows during a Mykonos getaway. Carroll, 36, has now unfollowed Teasdale, 41, on social media and removed all photos of her from his Instagram. This comes after previous rumours that Carroll was set to propose to Teasdale. According to a source quoted in The Sun, the ex-Liverpool and Newcastle forward had grown frustrated with Teasdale's 'influencer lifestyle' and constant social media posting. 'He told her it was over this week. He's single now,' the insider said. But it seems like things might not be that simple. A conflicting source told the Daily Mail: 'It was Lou who ended her relationship with Andy, she walked away a few days ago, it was very much her choice to end their romance. 'She isn't interested in pointing the finger or blaming him and hoped to deal with their split in private, before he blocked her on Instagram and deleted their photos together. 'Lou is very upset by how everything has played out and the arguments between them were especially difficult for her to go through. 'However, Andy wants Lou back and flew to Ibiza via private jet on Tuesday just to find her, even though he has no idea where she's staying. 'He will think it's a romantic gesture but for Lou, she's unimpressed and just wants to be away with her family, she's not interested in any of his attempts at a reconciliation. 'All she has done all year is love and support Andy, her feelings haven't gone away, but Lou has to protect herself now and ending the relationship is the only way to move forward.' The couple's relationship had appeared solid as recently as late July, when they were seen together at an Oasis concert. But their Greek holiday weeks earlier told a different story. Witnesses say the first argument erupted at the Nikolus Tavern, where Carroll allegedly appeared drunk and was overheard swearing at Teasdale. Police were called, but allowed him to leave after speaking privately. Later that night, officers were reportedly called again to their hotel amid claims of property damage, with staff alleging a door was broken. According to The Daily Mail, Carroll was taken to the police station for questioning, but he was not arrested, and no further action was taken. Teasdale left the hotel and stayed elsewhere for the night. Both Carroll and Teasdale downplayed the incidents at the time, describing the restaurant row as 'a private disagreement' blown out of proportion and insisting no one was arrested or charged. The incident was confirmed by a hotel employee, who claimed Carroll broke the door. A joint statement from the couple given to The Sun said: 'Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there. 'We went outside the restaurant with them together as they insisted they wanted to 'look after' us. 'As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public. No one was arrested and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.' Carroll's return to the UK last month with National League side Dagenham & Redbridge marks the end of a two-year stint in France. Friends say he now wants to focus on football and his five children, three of whom he shares with ex-wife Billi Mucklow. Carroll confirmed his separation from Towie star Mucklow last September. After nearly 10 years together, Carroll and Mucklow tied the knot in 2022, but the former couple split last year after a turbulent marriage, which had already survived a near-scandal in 2022 when Carroll was photographed asleep next to two women during his stag party. More Trending On the day that the news of Carroll's separation from Teasdale broke, Mucklow took to social media to show she was all smiles in a brown bikini while on holiday with her family. A source told Metro in April that rumours of Carroll's possible engagement to Teasdale were not surprising to Mucklow: 'Billi isn't surprised that Andy is rushing down the aisle again. Her marriage to him didn't last very long and he moved on so quickly with Lou that nothing he does is surprising to her anymore. 'Her main focus will always be the children and moving on with her own life.' View More » Once Britain's most expensive footballer after his £35 million move to Liverpool in 2011, Carroll's personal life has often made more headlines than his career in recent years. What could the planned UFC fight at the White House look like?

It's a seismic moment in a sporting promotion that has had a stratospheric rise since its inception three decades ago. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to be staged at The White House next year, when longtime fan Donald Trump is likely to be in the front row as the fighters battle it out on the lawn. Marking the July 4 celebrations, 250 years on from the founding of the United States, it promises to be quite a spectacle. And British and Irish MMA fighters will almost certainly be entering the Octagon if the history-making event goes ahead. UFC boss Dana White, whose friendship with Trump stretches back to the early 2000s, said: 'It is definitely going to happen.' White explained that he plans to finalise the plans with the US president and his daughter Ivanka at the end of the month. While the UFC has been staged all over the world, it would be the first time that it has been hosted in the seat of power. The main fight events are large arena shows drawing tens of thousands of people, and it's unclear where exactly where the show would take place, but it's thought it would be staged on the lawn. 'When he called me and asked me to do it, he said, 'I want Ivanka in the middle of this,'' White told CBS Mornings of his discussions with Trump. 'So Ivanka reached out to me and her and I started talking about the possibilities, where it would be and, you know, I put together all the renderings.' Trump previously said that a UFC event will take place 'on the grounds of the White House' on Independence Day. 'We have a lot of land there,' he added. The president, speaking at a rally in Iowa last month, said the event could be staged in front of between 20,000 and 25,000 people. An AI image produced by a picture agency shows the eight-sided cage in front of the presidential building in Washington DC. In real life, the arena would likely be comprised of thousands of seats, with room for light shows and performers. What is clear is that the UFC can put on extravagant shows, best exemplified by the dazzling spectacle at the Las Vegas Sphere for Mexican Independence Weekend in September 2024. British undisputed UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall is the most obvious pick for a UK fighter to feature on the White House card. However, in conversation with combat sports broadcaster Ariel Helwani, it became clear that he is concentrating on his upcoming fight with Frenchman Ciryl Gane in October. Aspinall said the thought of a White House fight with Jon 'Bones' Jones, widely regarded as having ducked the Brit before leaving retiring, had occupied 'zero seconds in my mind.' The champion, from Wigan, explained: 'Not interested, and the world shouldn't be interested, because what's the point? It's false hope.' Asked if he would still be interested in fighting at the White House without Jones making an unlikely comeback, he replied: 'Not particularly, it doesn't not interest me, but it doesn't really interest me to be honest. I'm not really fussed by it, I'll fight anywhere, it doesn't really bother me. 'It would be a cool experience but I'm not like…I feel like the Americans should get the shot at the White House, I'm not American, Trump and the political stance in America doesn't really bother me. 'I'm not really a big Trump supporter or against that stuff is just irrelevant to me.' Also speaking to Helwani, UFC fighter Michael Chandler, who was soundly beaten by Scouser Paddy Pimblett in April, said he would 'love' to fight the Irish former two-times champion at the venue. More Trending 'That's the one everyone wants, that's the pinnacle,' he said of the yet to be announced White House card. 'As a fighter you want the biggest stages the brightest lights the biggest money you possibly can with the shortest window of opportunity you have in the sport and fighting on the White House lawn with the president of the United States… 'I was just with someone else from his team and he said people from England will be coming to pay their respects, it's going to be special.'
