Lego announce new lower priced Botanical sets and a big scary tiger face
A trio of new budget priced Lego plant sets has been unveiled for the spring, along with a cool tiger mural to put on your wall.
Everyone loves Lego, but everyone also knows that Lego is expensive and no matter the quality there's just no way you can afford all the neat sets. Especially the big adult-orientated ones based on things like The Lord Of The Rings and Super Mario, which are extra expensive because they're licensed properties.
That's not the case with the Botanicals sets, unless Mother Nature starts charging licensing fees, but they can still often be upwards of £100.
Not this time though, as Lego unveils a trio of new sets for more modest prices, plus a really cool tiger mural which is similarly affordable, because it's not based on a movie or video game.
There are a lot of Botanical flower bouquets, but this is by the far the cheapest. For the price you get a variety of spring flowers, including billy buttons, bluebells, Cleopatra ferns, yellow yarrow, a pink gerbera, a peony, and a tulip. You don't get a vase with it, but you can just use a real one and, at a distance, it's actually hard to tell the difference from real flowers.
There's already a classic bonsai tree available for the Botanicals range but this larger one recreates a miniature red maple tree in a traditional plant pot. The tree is regarded as a symbol of peace and balance in Japan and believed to bring good luck and prosperity. They also look really pretty and are a lot easier to maintain when they're made of Lego.
These cute little potted plants will make both the gift recipient and your purse strings happy, as despite the low price they're one of the cleverest Botanical sets so far. The plants are a baby dracaena and a baby pilea (they're interchangeable between the two pots) but just adding the smiley faces somehow makes them seem super endearing.
This is technically part of the Lego Art line, which includes recreations of famous works of art such as the Mona Lisa. The Fauna Collection uses original designs though and this tiger is easily the best one yet. It's not always easy to get the organic shape of animals right in Lego but this 3D artwork looks great and can be displayed either on shelves, using a brick-built stand, or on the wall. It even comes with a number of jungle flowers, for a little Botanicals crossover. More Trending
The three Botanicals sets are available to pre-order now via the links above and will be released on May 1 for the Sunny Bouquet and June 1 for the Bonsai Tree and Happy Plants. The Tiger is also out in June but isn't available for pre-order yet.

Alison Hammond has shut down speculation that she's pregnant in the most hilarious way possible after false rumours spread online. In the video, which was taken four years ago, the heavily pregnant Duchess of Sussex is shown dancing in a hospital room to the sound of Starrkeisha song Baby Momma. Meghan posted on her Instagram to celebrate Lili's fourth birthday on Wednesday, writing: 'Four years ago today, this also happened. 'Both of our children were a week past their due dates – so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!' The happy video has (of course) drawn some criticism on social media after Meghan was seen to twerk at one point, with online users criticising her behaviour. Tom Cruise enters Guinness Book of Records for 'death-defying' stunt
Tom Cruise has once again raised the bar for action stunts, this time by setting a new Guinness World Record for the most burning parachute jumps by an individual. The Mission: Impossible star performed 16 such death-defying leaps during filming of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the eighth chapter in the high-octane franchise. Guinness World Records made the announcement on Thursday, praising Cruise's dedication to authenticity and fearlessness. 'Tom doesn't just play action heroes – he is an action hero!' said Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records. 'His absolute focus on pushing the boundaries of what a leading man can do is unmatched. It's an honour to recognise his utter fearlessness with this new title.' In the film's dramatic climax, Cruise's character Ethan Hunt faces off against his nemesis Gabriel, portrayed by Esai Morales, high in the skies. The scene culminates with Hunt jumping from a burning plane. After deploying his parachute, the fabric ignites and disintegrates, forcing him to cut away the charred chute and deploy a backup. Cruise, who is a licensed skydiver, executed the stunt 16 times. Each jump involved leaping out of a helicopter while strapped to a parachute soaked in fuel and set ablaze. According to Guinness, no other actor or stunt performer has come close to matching that number of fiery parachute drops. Cruise is certainly willing to push the limit. At one point during filming, director Christopher McQuarrie shared a terrifying moment when he feared Cruise had passed out while filming a death-defying stunt on the wing of a plane. Jessie J reveals hidden pain after biopsy procedure following cancer diagnosis
Jessie J has given an update to fans after revealing she was diagnosed with 'early breast cancer' a few months ago. The 37-year-old singer is best known for hits including Price Tag, Domino and Bang Bang, as well as appearing on The Voice UK, The Voice Australia and The Voice Kids UK. However, Jessie – real name Jessica Ellen Cornish – has given an update after being diagnosed with cancer. She shared a video on her page of herself performing at the London jazz club Ronnie Scott's. The caption revealed that she was struggling not to overshare while performing and had just undergone five surgeries. 'I had 5 breast biopsies the night before this show, I was in some discomfort but so hyped to do it and I didn't want to cancel. The more I watch this show back I can see my brain working in complete over drive trying not to blurt it all out = 😂🧟♀️🥴 'Laughing and making jokes in hard times 🤝🏻 me She then joked about her comments in the video and added: 'And I am in-fact under your bed.' In the video, the star was her usual upbeat self, despite what was going on in her private life. She joked that she was uncomfortable because she drank a Joe and the Juice. 'Anyone here from Joe & The Juice?' she asked. 'On my first album, Who You Are, I know a lot of people called it Who Are You, which completely changed the meaning. Who are you? Where have you been? She later said: 'Being truthful in who you are – not your mates or your family or everyone else, but like what you love and who you are. What makes you special. That's all I wanna focus on.' Announcing the news of her diagnosis on Instagram, Jessie explained she received the health news just before the release of her song No Secrets in April. 'Before No Secrets came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,' she explained. 'I'm highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding on to the word early.' 'I just wanted to be open and share it because selfishly, I do not talk about it enough,' she went on. 'I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard.
