BTS reunion begins: RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook return this week as South Korea rolls out a purple welcome

The long-awaited BTS reunion is finally around the corner, and ARMYs are pulling out all the stops. With RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook set to be discharged from the military this week, fans across the globe are already preparing grand welcome-home gestures—from flying across countries to organizing elaborate projects.
BIGHIT MUSIC recently confirmed that Kim Namjoon(RM), Kim Taehyung (V), Jeon Jungkook (Jungkook), and Park Jimin (Jimin) will soon wrap up their military service, just in time for BTS' 11th anniversary, BTS FESTA, on June 13. The timing couldn't be more perfect—and South Korea is more than ready.
South Korea turns purple for BTS' return
Across South Korea, the excitement for BTS' long-awaited return is impossible to miss. The streets of Seoul and other cities are slowly transforming into a purple-hued celebration, with fans spotting tributes popping up in every corner.
For the unversed, purple holds a special meaning in the BTS universe—it stands for love, trust, and lasting loyalty between the group and their fans, ARMY. The origin goes back to a 2016 fan event when V (Kim Taehyung) coined the phrase, 'I purple you.' He explained, 'Do you know what purple means? It's the last color of the rainbow. It means I will trust and love you for a long time.' Since then, purple has become synonymous with BTS, often featured in their logos, stage designs, and fan projects around the world.
From massive digital billboards proudly flashing messages like 'BTS is Back,' 'BTS is Seven,' and 'ARMY is Here,' to BTS logos lighting up popular landmarks, the country is rolling out a heartfelt welcome.

One particularly special moment for fans was spotting a glowing purple fountain right in front of the JTBC building.

Videos of this symbolic gesture, along with other BTS-themed displays like the purple-lit Banpo Bridge fountain show, have gone viral online. For many, it's starting to feel like the beginning of a historic comeback era that not only honours BTS but also the unwavering spirit of ARMY.

BIGHIT reveals how V, RM, Jungkook and Jimin plan to greet fans post-discharge — but asks ARMY to stay home
With just days left until BTS' RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin complete their military service, BIGHIT MUSIC has finally shared what fans can expect and what they shouldn't do.
In a statement released on June 5, the agency confirmed that V and RM will greet fans from Chuncheon on June 10, while Jungkook and Jimin will do the same from Yeoncheon on June 11. While RM served in the Capital Defense Command's STF unit, V chose the elite anti-terrorism Special Duty Team (SDT) for his enlistment. Meanwhile, Jimin and Jungkook enlisted together under the companionship program and trained side by side throughout their service.
However, BIGHIT made it clear that there will be no fan events at the bases. 'Rather than at their respective bases, they will deliver brief messages and share their thoughts on being discharged at separate designated locations,' the agency said, according to Soompi. Citing safety concerns, the company also requested fans to avoid visiting military bases, adding that the narrow roads and limited space could create unnecessary risks if large crowds gather. 'We kindly ask that you refrain from visiting the military bases,' they reiterated.
BTS to reunite on June 21
Meanwhile, the full BTS reunion is just two weeks away, with all seven members set to be discharged from military service by June 21. SUGA, who has been serving as a public service worker, will complete his duty on that date, marking the official end of the group's enlistment era.
Jin was the first to be discharged on December 12, 2023, followed by J-Hope on April 17, 2024. With RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook all wrapping up their service this week, fans are eagerly anticipating June 21 as the day BTS becomes seven again, just in time to mark their 12th anniversary.

Hania Aamir Spotted On Diljit Dosanjh's BTS Pics from Sardaar Ji 3? Here's What Fans Think

Last Updated: Fans spot Hania Aamir in BTS photos from Sardaar Ji 3 shared by Diljit Dosanjh, despite rumours she was replaced post-Pahalgam attack amid rising tensions. Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh recently gave fans a sneak peek into the sets of his much-anticipated film Sardaar Ji 3, sharing a series of behind-the-scenes photos on social media. While the spotlight was clearly on co-star Neeru Bajwa, eagle-eyed fans couldn't help but notice something — or rather, someone — unexpected lurking in the background: Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Though Diljit didn't tag or directly acknowledge Hania in his post, fans were quick to piece together the clues. In one photo, a woman resembling Hania can be seen standing just behind Neeru, her cropped hair and eyes barely visible — but unmistakable to devoted followers. Another photo showed a woman in a black saree holding Diljit close, sparking even more speculation that Hania had indeed returned to the sets. Some even claimed her face appeared printed on Diljit's black T-shirt. This comes amid swirling reports that Hania Aamir may have been replaced from the film following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which left 26 Indian tourists dead and severely escalated diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan. At the time, calls for a boycott of Pakistani talent gained momentum, with heightened nationalistic sentiment taking over social discourse. Many expected that cross-border collaborations in the entertainment industry would once again be shelved. View this post on Instagram A post shared by DILJIT DOSANJH (@diljitdosanjh) Diljit's caption, 'Jaggi With Beautiful Chudels. Sardaar Ji 3 Releasing 27th June. Teaser Coming Soon," made no mention of Hania, adding to the intrigue. While neither the production team nor the actress herself has confirmed her involvement, the glimpses have reignited debate over whether Hania is still part of the film. The timing of these visuals also coincides with growing public sentiment around Operation Sindoor, India's intensified military campaign in response to the Pahalgam attack. The operation, backed by strong political rhetoric, has once again reopened discussions about the presence of Pakistani actors in Indian entertainment, especially during times of heightened conflict. As of now, there's no official word on Hania's status in Sardaar Ji 3, but the behind-the-scenes whispers — and screenshots — are enough to keep fans and critics talking. Whether her appearance was a fleeting cameo, a full-fledged return, or merely a misidentified stand-in remains to be seen. What's certain, however, is that in the age of high-definition scrutiny and political sensitivities, no frame goes unnoticed. First Published:

J-Hope Killin' It Girl teaser OUT: BTS member turns to dark theme for collab with GloRilla, watch

J-Hope seems to be turning over a new leaf for his upcoming release, third single Killin' It Girl, and the new teaser has only raised hopes about what awaits. The new song is set for a drop on BTS' 12th debut anniversary day, June 13 and brings on another collaboration for the ARSON hitmaker. He will be working together with GloRilla, known for the chart-favorite Sticky alongside Tyler, The Creator, Sexyy Red, and Lil Wayne. Turning to a black and white theme, the Killin' It Girl music video seems to be nothing like what the BTS member has done before. It's much darker and possibly hard-hitting than his previously light and fun-loving tracks. And while he's no stranger to dark, having explored the other side of his musical mind in the album Jack In The Box, this one is expected to link a possibly complimentary or romantic angle to it. What's the Killin' It Girl teaser about? The music video teaser shows the Chicken Noodle Soup singer lying down in the middle of a street, as businesses run around him. With people hustling and bustling, he sticks out like a sore thumb, and with a twist of a camera comes up on the screen. Eyes up, brimming with dark liner and a tense look in them, this looks like another one of his bangers. J-Hope's Killin' It Girl will hit the screens on June 13 at 1 pm KST (0 am ET, 9:30 am IST), alongside a music video, in which the fans are hoping to see GloRilla in action with the BTS member. On the same day, the rapper is set to conduct day 1 of his HOPE ON THE STAGE FINAL tour, bringing an end to a sold-out series of concerts that began earlier this year. Having toured North America and Asia, the final leg will be held in his homeland of South Korea. It is expected that the other BTS members, Jin, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook, will join him on the stage or appear in the audience to support the singer's ending shows. By then, these 5 would have also wrapped up their military service, much like J-Hope himself, gearing up for a full group reunion once SUGA completes his alternative duty on June 21.
