Broncos roster: WR Jerjuan Newton (No. 81) adds versatility to squad
Before the Broncos: Newton (5-11, 192 pounds) spent six years with the Toledo Rockets, playing in 62 games from 2019-24. Newton's best seasons were his final three, totaling 177 receptions for 2,574 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns from 2022-2024. He earned first-team All-MAC honors after posting career highs in receptions (72), yards (1,048) and touchdowns (11) last fall. Newton also received first-team all-conference honors in 2023, and second-team recognition in 2022. His 32 receiving touchdowns are a school record. In addition to his receiving ability, Newton also returned 23 kickoffs for 368 yards in college.
Broncos tenure: Newton signed as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos after the 2025 NFL draft, as part of the team's first wave of undrafted players. Newton will make his Bronco debut during preseason next month.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: Long shot. Head coach Sean Payton loves the sort of do-it-all player that Newton is and can be. With Marvin Mims already cemented as a two-time Pro Bowl returner (and more recently, prolific receiver), Newton may provide a safety outlet for Payton to keep him on the practice squad this season. Newton's unlikely to make the active roster this summer, but he might be a top practice squad candidate.

Aaron Donald Has Officially Returned to Rams Training Camp
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Los Angeles Rams are currently in the midst of training camp, and the team received a massive visit. Former Rams legend Aaron Donald has officially returned. Aaron Donald making an appearance at #Rams camp: — Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) August 3, 2025 It is not rare for former players to show up to wish the team good luck and potentially help coach up the guys on the team. However, there have been plenty of rumors regarding Donald either ending his retirement or heading into coaching. Further reports showcased Donald speaking to Rams general manager Les Snead. Though the pair could be simply chatting and catching up, this could lead to more fruitful conversations. DETROIT, MICHIGAN - JANUARY 14: Aaron Donald #99 of the Los Angeles Rams looks on from the sideline prior to an NFC Wild Card Playoff football game against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on January 14, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan. Aaron Donald might not be as retired as he says he is, according to Rams legend Marshall Faulk. MoreMore news: Chargers and Keenan Allen Reunion Could Happen Soon Donald played all 10 seasons with the Rams and was a monster pass rusher. He set a career high of 20.5 sacks in 2018 and put together a career of 111.0 sacks through those 10 seasons. Donald also secured three Defensive Player of the Year nods, 10 Pro Bowl nods, and eight First-team All-Pro nods. He should be an easy first-ballot Hall of Famer as well. Though there have been rumors that Donald could end his retirement, that might not be the case. It would be more plausible that he would instead want to come over and help to coach the defense to some degree. Either way, the Rams getting a visit from their former defensive legend was sure to fire up the team. The Rams surprised everyone in 2024 when they were viewed as a "rebuilding" team. Despite the rough start of 1-4, the team would rifle off a 5-1 record in the final six games of the regular season. Matthew Stafford played a wonderful season despite also having to deal with a severely injured offensive line. The Rams would make it to the postseason and handily beat the then-red-hot Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Sadly, Los Angeles' postseason berth was cut short when they lost in the Divisional Round to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Things are looking up for the Rams, and the team was able to land star wide receiver Davante Adams in free agency. Also, Jared Verse is one of the most dynamic defensive players in the league and has been spending time with Donald. The pair could link up even more should Donald stick around for more time with the team. For more on the Rams and NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.

Philadelphia Eagles Gain Favorable Odds to Land Micah Parsons
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Currently, the NFC East has plenty of drama, and the Philadelphia Eagles can sit back and watch it all unfold, knowing they don't have anything to worry about at the moment. Or, perhaps they could get involved. As the Dallas Cowboys recently learned that Micah Parsons wants to be traded, FOX Sports NFL recently dug up some odds via DraftKings to see who is favored to land Parsons for the 2025 NFL season and beyond. The Eagles and the Patriots have the highest odds for any team not named the Cowboys. A Look at the Odds Cowboys -300 Eagles +1000 Patriots +1000 Chargers +1500 Cardinals +1600 49ers +1600 Rams +1800 Panthers +2200 Jets +2500 Raiders +2500 Micah Parsons will play for the _______ in 2025? 🤔 (odds via @DKSportsbook) — FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) August 1, 2025 The Cowboys remain the favorites to keep Parsons because, despite the drama, they hold the leverage. Parsons is under contract for the 2025 NFL season, and the Cowboys aren't going to cut his loose without getting value for him. The team has made it clear they don't want to trade him away, and even if they did consider making such a move, it would take a huge haul in order for Dallas to pull the trigger. Micah Parsons #11 of the Dallas Cowboys celebrates a sack of Jalen Hurts #1 of the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium on September 27, 2021 in Arlington, Texas. Micah Parsons #11 of the Dallas Cowboys celebrates a sack of Jalen Hurts #1 of the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium on September 27, 2021 in Arlington, Eagles tend to find themselves favored for available stars more often than not, due to Howie Roseman's aggressiveness in the front office. And when it comes to pass rushers, the Eagles are always intrigued. But it's hard to imagine the Eagles would be willing to cough up a ton of assets and be willing to offer Parsons game-changing money. He's worth a major extension, but the Eagles' ability to win a Super Bowl last season doesn't make them desperate for such a franchise-altering move. It's also tough to picture the Cowboys sending one of their most important players of the past few seasons to a division rival like the Eagles. The entire division saw how letting Saquon Barkley walk to the Eagles turned out for the New York Giants. The Cowboys certainly don't want to find themselves in that position. Parsons entered the NFL as the 12th overall pick out of Penn State in 2021. He was the Defensive Rookie of the Year and earned a Pro Bowl nod in his first season. Over four years, Parsons was named a Pro Bowler each time. He was also voted as an All-Pro three times, missing the mark last year, as he dealt with injuries. Parsons hits the trade block with 256 tackles and 52.5 sacks. For more Philadelphia Eagles and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.
