Aamir Khan Subtly Promotes Sitaare Zameen Par's YouTube Release With Nick And Carrie

News1815 hours ago
Aamir Khan participated in a playful prank video with YouTuber couple Nick and Carrie.
Aamir Khan recently released his latest movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, on YouTube, leaving the audience enthusiastic. The comedy drama, directed by R. S. Prasanna, is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions. After its theatrical release in June this year, the movie has received immense praise. Now that the spiritual successor to the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par has reached the OTT platform, the 60-year-old star can be seen subtly promoting it with content creators Nick and Carrie.
As the makers embarked on a new journey on YouTube, Aamir Khan can be seen joining Nick on his 'Celebrity prank on my fiance…" The video shared on the discussion platform Reddit begins with the content creator welcoming the actor with a warm heart, mentioning, 'Hello sir, how are you?" Soon, the actor replies, 'Very good," and poses for a selfie with Nick.
The content creator then embarks to prank his fiancée. He says, 'Let's get Carrie!" The video quickly changes to a scene where Carrie can be seen seated on a couch in their living room, all set to watch a movie alongside her husband. Nick then asks her, 'Ready for a movie day?" And as the loving fiancée asks, 'What are we watching today?" Nick informs her, 'Today I'm gonna show you a basketball movie and I bet you're gonna cry." She can be seen making a disgusted face while wondering, 'A basketball movie and I will cry?" The cutie content creator then rolls her eyes and mentions, 'Impossible."
Carrie Breaks Into Tears After Watching Sitaare Zameen Par
Nick then plays Sitaare Zameen Par on their television set, and we can spot Carrie enjoying the movie thoroughly. Pointing towards one of the funny scenes of the comedy drama, she questions him, 'I'll cry over this?!" The doting husband then assures her to wait till the end.
Soon, the scene jumps towards the end of the film, wherein Carrie can be seen extremely emotional and teary-eyed. Panning the camera towards her, Nick says, 'Aww babee are you okay?!" and even offers water to her. Finally, with the deception of going to bring a towel for her, he adorably brings in Aamir Khan in the frame.
At this point, when Carrie discovers that the actor appearing in the film was seated beside her, she jumps in shock and excitement. She then cutely hides her face in the towel and utters, 'This is so embarrassing."
The Bollywood superstar then questions her, 'Are you liking the movie?" To which the overwhelmed content creator quickly quipped, 'It's really good. I really like it." Aamir further adds, 'But why are you crying so much? It's a funny movie. I hope you are laughing through it." Carrie then reveals, 'I was until you left." Afterwards, Nick informs the actor that he has already won the bet and expresses his gratitude for being present at the exact moment. Carrie leaves the frame, showcasing her utmost embarrassment, leaving the remaining two of them rolling on the floor in laughter.
The video was captioned as 'Aamir Khan Features in Video with Nick and Carrie to Promote Sitaare zameen par."

Sex and the City lost its ‘zsa zsa zsu' years ago, we couldn't accept it until we saw literal sh*t on screen in And Just Like That finale

The most powerful pieces of art evoke the strongest of reactions but when that reaction is unintended disgust, you need to start questioning how you got yourself in a place where literal sh*t floats on screen as you bid goodbye to one of the most beloved shows of all time. Sex and the City's revival, And Just Like That, ended its barely dramatic and unwelcome run last week and for a show that had a strong hold on millennials as it dictated the cultural zeitgeist of an era, it felt rather tragic. After existing for close to three decades, if a show's creator and lead star has to answer questions about the audience 'hate-watching' their material, it is obvious that they went terribly wrong somewhere along the way. The nostalgia wielding crowd demanded a return for their favourite show, the makers gave them something that they felt was an 'updated' version of the 90s, but it ended up being a confused mess where Carrie continued to be just as self-centered but Miranda somehow lost herself, despite being the most well-adjusted grown-up of the lot. And Just Like That started after the cancelled third film, and Kim Catrall's firm decision to never return to the series despite the popularity it brought her. But soon after the revival of SATC's new avatar, it was clear that the show was a bad, and a hasty decision, that was probably made when the Covid clouds were yet to clear. The storyline of Che Diaz, who somehow became the most-hated character in a series where even Anthony managed to hold on to his place until the end; the desperate attempt to turn a new friend group into the original gang; the undignified exit of Stanford's character after Willie Garson's death, and the many other little tragedies turned And Just Like That into a show that was out to prove that it was 'woke with the times'. The comfort viewing of Sex and the City was a thing of the past because And Just Like That was too busy crossing hot-topics off a list so it could justify its presence in a post-pandemic world because now, they couldn't explain why a character owned 500 pairs of shoes, but not have enough money for rent. The idea of a revival, or a comeback, or a spin-off is profitable for corporations as they can continue to milk their IPs, and for the audience, it manages to take them back to a time that they cherish. However, it is after revisiting that said era, they realise that some things are best left untouched for they aren't all that great to begin with. And Just Like That didn't manage to make people fall in love with its new world, in fact, it made them question what they even liked in that old world where women spent an ungodly amount of time talking about their hetero relationships, and lived with the assumption that if they didn't find themselves a man, they wouldn't have a fulfilling life. This was a world where Samantha was often shamed by her peers for her active sex life, Miranda wasn't celebrated for her achievements, Carrie wasn't called out for her selfishness and Charlotte never got the chance to be her own person. As show moved on after its big premiere where Mr Big dies, which somehow coincided with #MeToo allegations against actor Chris Noth, Carrie's character moved on like she had not spent a lifetime with the love of her life. In fact, by the end of the third season, it started to almost feel like he was never in the picture. The man who had been the center of all her dramatic life moments was dead, and the show now found it shameful to revisit his memory so they chose to act like he never existed. Miranda and Charlotte were severely shortchanged through the run of the series and somehow, Kim Cattrall's decisions started to make sense. Kim's infamous beef with Sarah Jessica Parker made her part ways with the show but we would like to believe that it had something to do with artistic integrity as well. She knew when to cut the cord and move on, and perhaps, we should have done the same. Holding on this show felt like holding on to a toxic ex-boyfriend, who has mistreated you enough times, but you are yet to wake up and smell the coffee. You keep hoping for the toxicity to end knowing fully well that this relationship is way past its expiration date. The relationship between the viewers and the franchise was starting to get sour as well but the last couple of years made it inedible. Carrie once spoke about a certain 'zsa zsa zsu', an undefined spark that attracted her to Burger. She described it as the kind of feeling that makes you attracted to someone and even when things aren't going great, the memory of that 'zsa zsa zsu' keeps you invested in that relationship. Sex and the City started to lose its 'zsa zsa zsu' when it went on its movie route, and they lost whatever was left when they decided to go ahead with And Just Like That.

Shah Rukh Khan introduces ‘hardworking, good boy' Aryan as he apologises in anticipation: ‘Please forgive me, this is my first time'

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan introduced his son Aryan Khan to the world as a filmmaker on Wednesday. The occasion was the official preview of Aryan's debut directorial venture, the Netflix series The Ba***ds of Bollywood, held at Mumbai's iconic Yash Raj Studios. The event was a star-studded affair with the entire principal cast and crew in attendance. Shah Rukh Khan himself played host for the evening, infusing the proceedings with his signature wit and self-deprecating humour. Introducing the world of the show, which appears to be a meta tribute to the madness of Bollywood's showbiz culture, Shah Rukh set the tone for what promises to be an irreverent ride. However, the evening's most heartfelt moment came when Shah Rukh introduced his son to the public for the first time as a director. Visibly emotional and on the verge of tears, the actor said: 'I'm deeply grateful to the sacred land of Mumbai, to this country, which has given me 30 years to try and entertain you. Today is a very special day, because on this very same land, my son is now taking his first step. He's a very good boy, as all fathers believe about their sons, and he's hardworking. At home, we've only taught him a few things: box office success isn't guaranteed, nor are positive reviews from critics. But giving your 100% through hard work, that's the one guarantee you can control. So today, when he stands before you, please clap for him. But along with those claps, send him a small prayer too. And like I've said before, the love you've given me over the years, even if he receives just 10, 20, 30, 40, 50% of that, if it were anyone else, I would have stopped right there. But if he's lucky enough to get 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, even 150%, of that love, please give it to him.' 'This is the first time I'm coming on stage in front of all of you. So I've been practising this speech for the last 2–3 nights. In fact, I'm so nervous I even had it written on the teleprompter, and just in case there's a power outage, I've brought a hard copy in my pocket too! And if I still mess up, my dad is here. And if even after all that I make a mistake, please forgive me, this is my first time.' He went on to speak about the intent behind the show: 'With this show, the only intention was to entertain people all across the world. After four years of hard work, endless discussions, and thousands of takes, the show is finally ready.' Staying true to its unapologetically self-aware tone, The Ba***ds of Bollywood preview features cameo appearances from Bollywood heavyweights like Salman Khan, Karan Johar, and Ranveer Singh. Notably, Aryan Khan has also cheekily addressed his own jail time in the series. Set to premiere on September 18, the series stars Lakshya, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Gautami Kapoor, Mona Singh, and Rajat Bedi in key roles. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the show is created and directed by Aryan Khan, alongside co-creators Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, all three also share writing credits.

He revealed a bedtime routine with PC and said that he literally pulls a chair next to Priyanka while she's watching TV in bed as they see something together but doesn't like to be in bed while watching it. The 32-year-old singer appeared on TikTok's 'Are You Okay?' series, where one clip in particular caught everyone's attention. Many fans labeled it his 'beige flag' after he revealed he uses the bed only for one purpose, which is sleep. 'I think beds are for sleeping only,' Nick confessed. 'I don't sit on the bed, I don't eat on the bed, I don't read a book in bed or watch TV. I can't do it.' Explaining further, he added, 'I just don't like it to get warm. I run hot. Host Bri Morales laughed off this revelation, calling it 'crazy,' and social media quickly joined in with mixed reactions. One fan wrote, 'Pulling up a chair while Priyanka is in bed watching TV is insane.' Others admitted they felt personally attacked because lounging, scrolling, or even eating in bed was part of their daily routine. Some found humour in the fact, joking that Nick is 'more Indian than Priyanka' thanks to his strict no-food-on-the-bed stance, a rule many Indian moms famously enforce. Still, several viewers defended him, calling the habit a 'green flag,' insisting a bed should be reserved for rest. Nick is currently on a tour with brothers Joe and Kevi for the Jonas Brothers' 20th anniversary shows. Meanwhile, Priyanka is currently shooting for SS Rajamouli's next with Mahesh Babu . In 2022, they welcomed their daughter Malti Marie via surrogate. Since then, the two have often spoken about balancing family life with work. Priyanka, in past interviews, has emphasized that she chose Nick not just for love but because, as she put it, she wouldn't have married him if he didn't 'tick all the right boxes,' explaining that respect was just as important to her as affection.
