Not a typo! Get a queen Zinus memory foam mattress for just $177 in the Memorial Day sales
Now, don't expect the kind of quality support you get from the top recommended beds in our best mattress guide. The Zinus is a budget model. But we still gave it 3.5/5 stars in our Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam review: you get strong motion isolation and pressure relief for the money, and it's by no means unsupportive, especially for side sleepers. This is one of the best deals we've seen in the Memorial Day mattress sales. It's well worth considering if you're on a tight budget. We're covering it and more in our Memorial Day mattress sales live blog.
Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam mattress (queen): $219.98 now $177 at AmazonThis deal drops the Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam back to its lowest-ever price, making it even better value for money than usual. We were impressed with its pressure relief and motion isolation when we slept on it, and think it's a particularly good option for side sleepers — the memory foam cradles your hips, shoulders and knees well when you're on your side. However, back and stomach sleepers might need firmer support. The mattress has a simple three-layer foam design, and it's available in 8', 10' and 12' heights (we recommend 10" or higher for adults). It comes with a 10-year warranty.
Overall, we were impressed with this budget mattress when we reviewed it. So much so, we added it into our best cheap mattress of the year guide.
It has a classic soft, memory foam feel, which most side sleepers, especially lightweight sleepers, should find very comfortable. During our tests to assess how well it isolates motion, where we dropped a dumbbell from different distances and heights from a wine glass to mimic human movement, the glass didn't fall over once, indicating an excellent ability to prevent motion from travelling across the bed — good news for couples with restless partners.
Our expert panel agreed that despite the 'green tea and charcoal infusions', this isn't necessarily a 'cooling mattress' — very hot sleepers would be better off investing in one of the best cooling mattresses instead.
Heavier-weight sleepers, back sleepers and stomach sleepers would probably benefit from a firmer surface with a bit more support, and because of the soft feel, the edges felt weak. Our verdict? It's a great option for side sleepers on a budget, or to put in a guest room for occasional use. See our alternative below if you're a back or stomach sleeper on a budget.
Siena Memory Foam mattress (queen): $278 at SienaThe Siena is an all-foam bed, like the Zinus, but it has a much firmer feel, making it more supportive for back and stomach sleepers. When we tested it during our Siena Memory Foam mattress review, we were surprised at the feel. While Siena rates it as 6.5 on the firmness scale (medium firm), we found it felt more like a 9 out of 10, making it too firm for most side sleepers. However, it offered excellent support. It also performed well for temperature regulation, motion isolation and edge support, making it a great all-rounder and one of our best memory foam mattresses. Amazon is running an excellent deal on it right now, with a queen size 10" Siena discounted to $279 – that matches the cheapest price we saw during Black Friday. You get a 180-night trial, 10-year warranty and free shipping and returns too.

iRobot's future isn't looking up
iRobot, maker of the iconic Roomba robot vacuum, announced its second-quarter earnings late last week, and the numbers keep going down. Despite launching an entirely new product line, its revenue declined 23 percent to $127.6 million from the previous quarter, with the lucrative US and European markets being hit hardest. The company has struggled in the face of increased competition from Chinese manufacturers and the collapse of a sale to Amazon, which left it deep in debt. Earlier this year, CEO Gary Cohen indicated iRobot could shut down within 12 months if something didn't change. The clock is ticking. Last week, Cohen said that while customer response to the new product line has been 'encouraging,' iRobot didn't meet its goals this quarter 'due to persistent market headwinds and delays in scaling production and sales of our new products.' He confirmed the company is still looking at a potential sale or other 'strategic alternatives' to get out of from this author will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed. The Only Thing Hotter Than the Weather Is This Shark Attachable Misting Fan Deal, Record Low Since Launch
Want to talk about rapid evolution? You don't have to be that old to remember when turning on a fan to cool down meant turning the switch on a simple box fan. One propeller, three speeds, and the only other feature is that it makes your voice sound funny if you talk into it. Fast-forward to today and behold the Shark FlexBreeze pedestal and tabletop oscillating fan, which is at its lowest price ever right now at Amazon, just $130. The list of the Shark FlexBreeze's features is pretty incredible, and this 35% off Amazon deal is arriving just in time as an August heat wave settles in across much of the country. The Shark FlexBreeze's cooling breeze can be felt from as far away as 70 feet, and when you use the Instacool misting attachment, that breeze can make you feel up to 10 degrees cooler. It has a separate pedestal pole and base to toggle between floor and tabletop use, it's UV- and water-resistant for outdoor use, and when you take it outside you don't have to worry about running an extension cord, because it has a rechargeable battery with a 24-hour runtime. See at Amazon The Shark FlexBreeze weighs just 13 pounds, and has a built-in handle that is key to expanding the FlexBreeze from tabletop to floor fan and back again, and also to carry the fan anywhere you need it — indoors or outdoors. Yet despite its relatively small size and sleek design, the FlexBreeze packs a tremendous cooling punch. Put it in BreezeBoost mode and you can feel the air moving from up to 70 feet away. And even with that kind of power, the Shark FlexBreeze is amazingly quiet, so you can run it while you're working or sleeping without interruption. If you're unfamiliar with the amazing cooling power of a misting fan, they've long been the key to allowing outdoor eating and other activities in places like Phoenix and Las Vegas during the brutal summer months. Add the Instacool misting attachment to the FlexBreeze and bring that simple yet effective technology wherever you need it — the mist cools you by as much as 10 degrees without getting you even a little bit damp. The Shark FlexBreeze's rechargeable battery has a robust 24 hour runtime, and if it begins to run down or if you don't necessarily need to go wireless, it also plugs in so it can run while recharging the battery. Bring it outside and fire up the misting attachment without fear of damage — the FlexBreeze is UV- and water-resistant. The Shark FlexBreeze could be the most innovative and versatile fan we've seen in a long time, and it could be an essential addition to your home during the hottest days of summer which may yet to come. This Amazon limited-time deal is your big chance — it's the lowest price ever for the Shark FlexBreeze, just $130. See at Amazon
