Rita Ora's new music 'celebrates her sexuality'
The 34-year-old pop star released her latest single, Heat, last month, and Rita admits that it's a taste of things to come.
The chart-topping singer told People: "The whole theme of this record is really about being instant [and] really direct with my messaging and stripping everything back behind me, production wise."
Heat was co-written by Troye Sivan, and Rita admits that she has "a lot in common" with the music star.
The singer - who is married to Hollywood film director Taika Waititi - shared: "I love his sexuality and the celebration he has with that.
"I was really inspired for me and my womanhood to really kind of celebrate my sexuality, my sexiness and get back into my body, you know? And this really just embodied that."
Rita hasn't released a new album since 2023, and she's now keen to reintroduce herself to the public.
The pop star said: "I just feel as if I have so many things to sort of remind the public with, especially my new fans. I kind of love the idea of explaining who I am again."
Meanwhile, Rita recently revealed that she's like "the fairy godmother" to Taika's children.
The director has two kids with his ex-wife Chelsea Winstanley, and Rita admitted that she has a great relationship with his children.
During an appearance on the Begin Again with Davina McCall podcast, Rita - who married Taika in 2022 - shared: "It is so fun. I just have the best time with them.
"I'm like the fairy godmother [who] gives them all the sugar and all the ice cream, and then sends them back. And their mother, who I love dearly, is like, 'They're bouncing off the walls.'"
Rita also revealed that she relished the experience of taking the kids to see Ed Sheeran, her long-time showbiz pal.
The singer said: "I think that's the fun part of being a stepmom, like you can do those naughty things. I take them out, and I took them to an Ed Sheeran concert. They met Ed Sheeran, like, I was giving it all to these kids!"

Jamie Lee Curtis admits she's 'very much like' Janet Leigh
Jamie Lee Curtis thinks she's like her mom "in many, many, ways". The 66-year-old actress is the daughter of screen idols Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, and Jamie admits that she could see a lot of herself in her mom, who passed away in 2004, aged 77. The Hollywood star - who has been married to Christopher Guest since 1984 - told People: "I tried to do everything not to be my mother. And, of course, I'm very much like my mother in many, many, ways. "My admiration for her has swelled as my disappointments have lessened. I know that my mother was so proud of me and and what I've achieved, that she respected my husband's work and was thrilled to be a grandma." Despite this, Jamie thinks her mom would've "loathed" her appearance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, the 2022 comedy-drama film. The actress explained: "My mother's been gone a long time. And today I have a freedom to be myself that my mother's generation would never have allowed. My mother would've been incredibly upset at Everything Everywhere All at Once and how I looked." Jamie believes her mom's generation was more image-orientated than her own. And she thinks that Janet would've disliked her appearance in The Last Showgirl, too. The veteran actress - who remains one of Hollywood's most bankable stars - explained: "Her generation was so much about your body and what you look like. And the beauty. The beauty is just who she was. That's what her life was. "My mother was literally jaw dropping. But I think that would've been very hard for her to see me with my tummy sticking out. Or in [the film] Last Showgirl, for her to see me in that dressing room at 66 years old. That really would've upset her. "I know her very well. I have accepted myself in a much bigger way than I think she felt she was allowed to, through her generation."

Billy Joel's wife was 'unimpressed' by his musical talents
Billy Joel's wife was "very unimpressed with the whole Billy Joel thing" when they first met. The 76-year-old star tried to woo Alexis, 43, with his musical talents during the early days of their romance, but she was completely unimpressed by his efforts. In the new HBO documentary series Billy Joel: And So It Goes, he explains: "I remember the first time I met Alexis, we went to my house, and I wanted to play the piano for her. It's a form of communication for me." Billy assumed that Alexis would be wowed by his award-winning talents. However, she was unmoved when he played the piano for her. Billy - who married Alexis in 2015 - said: "I'm playing that and she's completely unimpressed with it, totally. She couldn't care less what I'm playing and I'm thinking, 'Oh OK, this isn't working.' "She was very unimpressed with the whole Billy Joel thing, which impressed me. Because I thought, 'OK, maybe she's just here because she likes me, not the Billy Joel guy.'" The music star - who has daughters Della, nine, and Remy, seven, with Alexis - made a conscious effort to develop their relationship away from the spotlight. He explained: "We had a couple years together before we had kids and he had completely stopped doing shows. We travelled everywhere. We did a motorcycle trip from Maine down to Long Island, we were on boats 24/7. We were in Europe. We had so much fun." Meanwhile, Billy recently admitted that he was hesitant about committing to his HBO documentary. The music icon revealed that he was reluctant to reflect on some of the "stupid stuff" he's done in the past. He told People: "I've resisted this kind of thing for so long. I'm sick of talking about myself. Some of the stupid stuff I did, that's painful to talk about. (But) they asked me for some thematic guidance. I said, 'Just tell the truth.'" Billy initially just wanted to get the documentary "over with" because he doesn't enjoy talking about himself. The Uptown Girl hitmaker said: "My goal was to get it over with. "When I do interviews, people just ask you about yourself and you get a little self-conscious about it eventually. It's almost embarrassing. "When you're talking about your personal life detached from the material ... I suppose there's a little bit of wariness involved."

Travis Kelce is a great actor, says Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler thinks Travis Kelce is a "great, great actor". The 35-year-old NFL star makes a cameo appearance in Happy Gilmore 2, and Adam has admitted to being impressed by his co-star. He told Entertainment Weekly: "Travis is honestly, he came in, he hung out with us a couple days. He was just a great, great actor." Travis - who is dating pop star Taylor Swift - actually turned up on set the day after playing a game in the NFL. And Adam thinks Travis could become an acting "superstar" one day. The Hollywood star shared: "He's funny, just great personality. Just somebody that you'd want to hang out with all day long, and that he feels like he's your buddy. He feels like he will protect you. "He feels like he's going to be nice to your family. He's got everything. And as an actor, swear to God, he could be a superstar if he wanted to do that." Similarly, Christopher McDonald recently insisted that Travis is a "good actor". The 70-year-old film star appears alongside Travis in Happy Gilmore 2, and Christopher admitted to being impressed by Travis' acting skills. Speaking to People, Christopher shared: "Travis Kelce has been out there and I just really liked him as a person. He is really funny. Way too handsome, by the way, but really a good actor actually. Surprisingly good." The original Happy Gilmore movie told the story of a failed ice hockey player who turned to golf in an effort to raise money for his family. Christopher didn't actually get to play golf against Travis, but he's convinced the NFL star has "got game". The actor said: "He's a good athlete. He's a beast. I'm sure he kills the ball." Meanwhile, Travis recently rubbished suggestions that he could retire from the NFL, insisting he still has a lot to prove as a sportsman. The Kansas City Chiefs player told reporters: "It wasn't a very tough [decision] for me. "I know I'm getting older, but at the same time I still feel like I got a lot that I can prove in this league. It really wasn't that hard of a decision for me."
