
Awie demands truth after being accused in Shila Amzah's alleged assault case
According to mStar, the incident began after singer Nurshahila Amir Amzah, better known as Shila Amzah, filed a police report claiming she was publicly assaulted by a legendary artist during a recent concert rehearsal. The report was lodged at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters on July 10.
Awie, who has faced criticism from netizens accusing him of being behind the alleged attack, has called on rock singer Datuk Amy Search, whose real name is Suhaimi Abdul Rahman, to clarify the matter.
"The concerned party should come forward. This is affecting people who have nothing to do with it. People are accusing me because they think I'm the bad guy. The person responsible should come out. Speak up," he told mStar on Saturday.
He added that the controversy has taken a toll on him, with many people asking for clarification. He also made it clear that he would not hesitate to report anyone spreading false claims linking him to the incident.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — Kuantan Traffic Police confiscated 24 motorcycles under Section 64 of the Road Transport Act 1987 during a major enforcement operation on July yesterday. The 'Op Samseng Jalanan (Road Bullies)' was conducted from approximately 4pm to 11pn in collaboration with Kuantan PVR along Jalan Pantai Sepat. Police also issued 194 various traffic summonses to violators throughout the seven-hour crackdown period. One motorcyclist was arrested under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for performing a dangerous wheelie stunt near the Pantai Sepat Islamic Cemetery. Scuffle breaks out as teen's parents try to stop detention over RM41 sauce theft at TMG in Jempol
KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — Police have arrested a teenager suspected of stealing condiments from the TMG supermarket in Bandar Seri Jempol, Negeri Sembilan, last Thursday. Jempol district police chief Superintendent Norhisham Mustapar said officers received a report of the incident at about 9.02pm on July 11. Initial investigations found that the teen had entered and exited the supermarket multiple times carrying a sling bag. Security checks revealed two packets of black pepper sauce and two packets of mayonnaise inside the bag, with no payment made for the items. The suspect's parents, who arrived at the scene, allegedly tried to persuade security staff to release him but a scuffle broke out. The trio then fled in a Toyota Avanza before police later detained the primary suspect. Police estimate the loss at RM41 and have classified the case under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft in a building. Investigations are also being conducted under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for causing public disorder, which carries a fine of up to RM100.
