Bill Belichick gives blunt and honest opinion on the 'Patriot Way'
Former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick made a shocking admission in his book 'The Art of Winning.' According to the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach, the "Patriot Way" isn't a real thing.
The 'Patriot Way' had become synonymous with success and discipline over the course of Belichick's tenure with the organization. It was viewed as something that propelled the team to success and set them apart from the rest of the competition.

"Someone came up with the phrase, 'The Patriot Way.' I think they made some money off it. Good for them. Here's something you should know: The Patriot Way does not exist," Belichick wrote, via the Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy.
The Patriots and Belichick parted ways in January 2024.
New England moved quickly to hire Jerod Mayo as the next head coach, but that experiment only lasted a year before they fired him and moved on to Mike Vrabel. Meanwhile, Belichick has taken his talents to the college ranks as the new head coach at the University of North Carolina.
Even if the "Patriot Way" isn't real, the Patriots would surely love to get back to that point after three consecutive losing seasons. There has been no way for the team after finishing 4-13 in the last two years.

Angel Reese's BET Award Win Trashed By Boxing Star Claressa Shields: ‘I Thought Accolades Mattered'
WNBA star Angel Reese scored a major achievement this week when she was chosen as BET's 2025 'Sportswoman of the Year.' However, boxing legend Claressa Shields seems to think she was undeserving of the honor. 'Still don't know how I didn't win the Sportswoman of the Year for the BET Awards. But, congrats to Angel Reese and all the other Nominees 🤷🏽♀️ I just thought accolades mattered,' Shields wrote in a post on X. Advertisement Also Read: WNBA games today – Get a look at tonight's WNBA schedule The Chicago Sky star had a notable rookie season in 2024. Posting just over 13 points and 13 rebounds per game. Her numbers earned her All-Star honors. But her personality and rivalry with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark expanded her profile and turned her into one of the WNBA's most recognizable players. However, a case could be made that it was Reese's popularity that played a key role in her winning the award. As opposed to her skills on the court. Especially when considering the other nominees for BET's 'Sportswoman of the Year.' The other athletes up for the award were fellow WNBA star A'ja Wilson, Shields, tennis great Coco Gauff, South Carolina coach Dawn Staley, LSU's Flau'jae Johnson, USC's JuJu Watkins, sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson, and gymnast Simone Biles. Advertisement Both Biles and Richardson won gold medals in the 2024 Summer Olympics. Gauff won the WTA Finals and a French Open Doubles title last year. Shields won two fights, including a second-round knockout last July. But most notable is that 2024 WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson was overlooked for Reese. BET Award winners are decided through a combination of public voting and a voting academy composed of industry professionals. Legendary Rams QB named among highest-graded players since 2000
Legendary Rams QB named among highest-graded players since 2000 The Los Angeles Rams' history over the past 25 years has been up and down. The franchise enjoyed a great start to the millennium with two consecutive playoff appearances and one Super Bowl berth before not seeing much success until Sean McVay became head coach in 2017. But over the past 25 years, one Rams quarterback made Pro Football Network's top-25 highest-graded quarterbacks list: Kurt Warner. He was a three-time Pro Bowler, two-time All-Pro and two-time MVP during his six years with the Rams after going undrafted in 1994 and playing for the AFL and NFL Europe. "Kurt Warner's career started before the QB+ era, but it includes some of the best years measured by the metric. In 2000, he led the NFL in completion percentage (67.7%), yards per completion (14.6), and net yards per pass attempt (9.03). "Warner made his mark with the St. Louis Rams during 'The Greatest Show on Turf,' one of the NFL's most explosive offenses. He later had a successful run with the Arizona Cardinals, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2008 at age 37. Warner finished his career with 32,344 passing yards, 208 touchdowns, and a 93.7 passer rating. In 2001, he led the league with 4,830 yards and 36 TD passes. "From an advanced standpoint, Warner's numbers weren't elite but were solid — +0.13 EPA per dropback and 7.5 net yards per attempt. Those numbers, combined with his playoff success, helped earn him a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame." As PFN noted, Warner was the leader of "The Greatest Show on Turf" alongside Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce and Marshall Faulk. The group only won on Super Bowl together in 1999, but proved to be one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NFL at the turn of the century. Now, his bust sits in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a sign of one of the greatest Rams players ever.
