Flights diverted back to Glasgow Airport due to 'adverse weather'
Flight tracking data from website Flightradar24 shows the plane departed Glasgow at 7am for a scheduled arrival at Stornoway at 8am. However, after circling above the airport, it headed back south and landed back in Glasgow.
Loganair flight LM343 from Edinburgh was also due to land in Stornoway at 8:25am but diverted back to the capital after it too was unable to land.

Meanwhile, a list of scheduled departures on Stornoway Airport's website shows that two Loganair flights from Stornoway to Glasgow and Inverness at 8:30am (flight LM471) and 8:55am (flight LM152) have also been cancelled.
Reports suggest the planes were unable to land in Stornoway due low-lying cloud.
A spokesperson for Highland and Islands Airports Limited, which operates Stornoway Airport, confirmed that the disruption was weather-related.
They told our sister title The Herald: "We can confirm that this morning's schedule at Stornoway Airport has been impacted by adverse weather.
"Passengers are advised to contact their airlines for travel updates."
The Herald has approached Loganair for comment.
