Inisherin and Lazzat crossing swords with Satono Reve on Saturday
French raider Lazzat won his first six starts for Jerome Reynier before suffering a narrow defeat at the hands of the William Haggas-trained Lake Forest in Australia. He disappointed in the Hong Kong Mile and over the longer trip on his Saint-Cloud return, but having bolted up back over six furlongs at Chantilly he has since been snapped up by the powerful Wathnan Racing operation.
Christopher Head's Topgear is another improving sprinter from across the Channel, while further international spice is added by the presence of Japanese raider Satono Reve, who caught the eye of work-watchers in a recent gallop in Newmarket.
Aidan O'Brien's Australian recruit Storm Boy runs, with the only two not declared from the confirmation stage being George Boughey's Believing, who ran in the King Charles III Stakes on Tuesday, and James Fanshawe's Champions Day winner Kind Of Blue.
Nine juveniles are set to go to post for the opening Chesham Stakes, with Charlie Appleby's impressive Newmarket winner Treanmor the likely favourite ahead of O'Brien's Leopardstown scorer Moments Of Joy.
Al Aasy heads a 12-runner field for the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes, with Rebel's Romance and Al Riffa two of his rivals, but ante-post favourite Kalpana is a notable absentee.
Remmooz will put his unbeaten record on the line for Owen Burrows in the Group Three Jersey Stakes, which has attracted 15 participants in total, while the two handicaps on the card – the Wokingham and the Golden Gates – have maximum fields of 28 and 16 runners respectively.
The two-mile-five-furlong Queen Alexandra Stakes traditionally brings the Royal meeting to a close and plenty will be putting their faith in Sober, who represents the formidable combination of Willie Mullins and Ryan Moore. The six-year-old, who was a multiple winner in France for Andre Fabre before scoring over hurdles on his first start for Mullins, heads a field of 11 in the finale.

Michaela kept the surprise until they reached the hotel and captured his reaction on film for his dad to watch back home, with Henry declaring it as his "best birthday ever". However, she says their experience at the stadium was marred by other spectators smoking and vaping around him. Henry is asthmatic and had previously suffered a respiratory attack when he was younger, which resulted in him being rushed to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. A new smoking ban introduced in France last month prohibits the smoking of cigarettes in all outdoor places frequented by children, including stadiums like the Stade de France. A spokesperson for the stadium has apologised for spectators not adhering to this rule. Henry began showing symptoms of a respiratory attack as the air filled with smoke before being taken to the stadium's first aid room, where he experienced a panic attack. He later received treatment at a local hospital before being discharged with a prescription, reports the Liverpool Echo. Speaking to the ECHO, Michaela said: "As soon as we got there, there were people vaping and smoking. That's why I went to the ticket office and luckily there was no issue. "I asked to move partly because he couldn't see, but partly because of the smoking. I mentioned it to her and she said we are a non-smoking venue, so anyone seen smoking should be kicked out. "So then they gave us the seats and literally as the show started, people started lighting up. We saw a few stewards walking around telling people off but I didn't see anyone leave. Henry started showing symptoms of a respiratory attack. Then he had a panic attack in the first aid room." Michaela says she and Henry fear they may never get the chance to see AC/DC live again. She said: "He was in the middle of having a panic attack and he was apologising. I was saying to him, you've got nothing to apologise about. "I had a guilty feeling because I didn't realise how many people would be smoking in the venue. I expected a few, maybe at the front in the standing section, near the mosh pits and things like that. But I didn't expect it on the seats. "Henry knows how old they are and we're thinking their Edinburgh gig may be the last one they do in the UK. To go from that high of him being so excited for the gig to what happened, it's just awful." Henry began to recover but after they left the stadium, a security officer outside stopped them to say that he still looked unwell. He was then taken to Saint Denis Hospital where he was given oxygen and recovered. Michaela hopes to highlight how thoughtless behaviour can create difficulties for people suffering from breathing problems. She explained: "We can't be the only ones that struggled. There are plenty of people in the world that have respiratory issues and asthma. "We want to get it out there that non-smoking venues or areas of stadiums are kept as that and that stewards will be more vigilant to protect more vulnerable fans like Henry whose deserved dream concert ended so suddenly." A spokesperson for the Stade de France said: "We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. We are aware of the new smoking bans that came into effect on July 1, 2025, which extend the 'smoke-free' zones in France. Stadiums are included in this. "We are doing our utmost to enforce this decree within the stadium, but some spectators' habits persist and it will take us a little time to adapt before we can become a completely 'smoke-free' zone. "This feedback is important to us, as it enables us to improve the quality of the welcome we offer to the public at the Stade de France."

Sean Wallace: How unleashing potential of three players is key to Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin's plan
Aberdeen's bid for success can be turbo-charged if boss Jimmy Thelin can engineer a way to get three players to realise their early career potential. During his time at former club Elfsborg in the Swedish top flight Thelin was renowned for developing and getting the most out of young, promising players. That ability is now fundamental in Aberdeen's player trading model where the club secure young signings with potential. Summer signings like teenage Icelandic teenage midfielder Kjartan Már Kjartansson and Swedish winger Kenan Bilalović, 20, fit into that model. However, there are three players at Pittodrie that showed sensational early promise in their careers that they have as of yet failed to maximise – Adil Aouchiche, Ante Palaversa and recent addition Marko Lazetic. All three were so highly rated as teenagers they were snapped up by European giants. If Thelin can somehow get Aouchiche, Palaversa and Lazetic to realise their early potential Aberdeen could reach new levels in Europe and domestically. Recent signing Lazetic was so highly rated whilst at Red Star Belgrade Italian giants AC Milan splashed out €4m (£3.45m) to sign him as an 18-year-old. In his three years at AC Milan the striker made only two appearances, as he was sent out on loan to three different European clubs. However, the potential was clearly there for the seven-time European champions to splash multi-millions on a teenager. If Thelin can somehow tap into that potential Lazetic can go on to make a major impact at Pittodrie having signed a four-year contract with the Dons. Likewise on-loan Sunderland attacking midfielder Aouchiche was one of the hottest teenage talents in European football when at Paris Saint-Germain. Aouchiche remains the youngest ever goal-scorer in a competitive match for the current Champions League holders. In 2019 he was wanted by Euro giants Barcelona and Bayern Munich, with Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen also pushing to sign the midfielder. At the 2019 under-17 European championships Aouchiche was the tournament's top scorer with a sensational nine goals in five matches. Aouchiche currently holds the record for most goals scored at a Uefa national tournament with three time Ballon d'Or winner Michel Platini, set at Euro 1984. That was no one-off because at the under-17 World Cup, also in 2o19, the midfielder pitched in with seven assists and a goal. He received the Silver Ball as the second-best player in the under-17 World Cup, Aouchiche was tipped as a future French senior international and compared to former Ballon d'Or winner Zinedine Zidane. Ultimately he would leave Paris Saint-Germain in search of regular football, signing for Saint-Étienne where he racked up almost 70 appearances in the French top flight. Rarely does a career run smoothly and the French under-20 international spent last season on loan from Sunderland at Portsmouth in the Championship. Aberdeen offers an opportunity for redemption, for Aouchiche to reignite a career that promised so much as a teenager. Aouchiche is still only 23-years-old so there is time. And if the midfielder can find a fraction of his early form Aberdeen's option to buy for £1.5m would seem a bargain. Another Dons star once rated as one of the top in Europe as a teen has been at Pittodrie for a year. Croatian midfielder Palaversa was signed for £7m by Manchester City by boss Pep Guardiola when only 18-years-old. Palaversa was a key player for the Dons last season but there is the sense that is only the tip of the iceberg with the midfielder. Aberdeen have a spine through the heart of the team of a holding midfielder who played for Manchester City, a No.10 for Paris Saint-Germain and a striker for AC Milan. If Thelin can get them realising their potential they can be the key to success.
