€45M Rated Man United Star Has Opened Up To Inter Milan Transfer
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has opened up to a transfer to Inter Milan this summer. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the two clubs are in talks, with United seeking a €45 million fee. Advertisement It is certainly no secret that Inter Milan are keen to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United. The Nerazzurri have identified the Danish international as their top target in attack. It may have been two difficult seasons for Hojlund at Old Trafford. However, Inter still rate the 22-year-old very highly on the basis of his performances for Atalanta in the 2022-23 season. Man United Striker Rasmus Hojlund Opens Up To Inter Milan Move MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – FEBRUARY 02: Rasmus Hojlund of Manchester United in action during the Premier League match between Manchester United FC and Crystal Palace FC at Old Trafford on February 02, 2025 in Manchester, England. (Photo by) According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Rasmus Hojlund himself is open to the idea of joining Inter this summer. The Nerazzurri approached the Dane's representatives to make their interest clear. And they got a positive response. Advertisement This was the green light for Inter to start talks with Manchester United over the striker. On the other hand, Rasmus Hojlund did publicly downplay the links yesterday. He stated that he 'still expects to be playing for Manchester United' next season. However, the Gazzetta reports, this was just Hojlund being professional. The negotiations between Inter and United still have a ways to go. Therefore, the Dane would hardly openly talk about the possibility of a move to Inter. But behind the scenes, the Gazzetta report, Hojlund has very much opened up to the prospect to a Nerazzurri switch. Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, there is still work to do in talks between Inter and Man United. The Red Devils want a fee of around €45 million for Hojlund. But more than the fee, the two clubs are negotiating the structure of a deal, with Inter still aiming for an initial loan deal.

Goalkeeper commits to new long-term deal with Swindon
Swindon Town have confirmed that goalkeeper Connor Ripley will be remaining at the club next season after signing a new two-year deal. The pursuit to keep the bulk of the core of last season's squad continues as Swindon wrap up the deal for their number one goalkeeper until 2027. Advertisement Ripley arrived on the final day of the winter transfer window from Port Vale, taking over his existing contract, which ran until the end of the season. The 32-year-old was an instant hit at Swindon, keeping five clean sheets in his 14 appearances and adding a level of calm and command of his box which had been lacking prior to his arrival. Making no secret of his hope to stay on at Swindon, Ripley has committed to another two seasons at Swindon and has made it so that there will be no nerves over the plan in goal this summer. Upon signing his new deal, Ripley said: 'It all happened pretty quickly, literally a few days after the season finished, I had a call off the manager saying he wanted to get something done and I was keen to do that as well. Advertisement 'I wanted to stay here, I enjoyed my time here, and commit myself to the club. It took a few weeks, but it was all done whilst I was on holiday in South Africa. 'There are a lot of things which have gone on in my career, and I have never really ventured down South. 'When I came down here, it just seemed to click with the place, the people that work here are great, the fans are fantastic with me and my family. 'It has surprised me in a way, and in another it hasn't. Playing always makes me happy, and playing well makes me even happier.' There had been some concern that the goalkeeper's family based in the North could be a barrier to the deal, but he was able to work out a plan which has enabled him to stick around. Advertisement He said: 'There were a lot of conversations with my partner, she has been excellent and supported me with my decision. 'We needed to get some things sorted up North with my kids, myself, and Chelsea, and we have got that done. It was not that hard to sign the deal. 'She [Ripley's partner] is an amazing person, an amazing partner, and an amazing mum. I can't speak any more highly of her. 'She has been incredible since she has been in my life, and she has made this so much smoother than it could have been. 'I am very grateful for what she does for me and our family, and it is great that when I came to her and said Swindon offered me a deal, she sat down with me and we talked about it. 'I think it was literally a five-minute talk when I told her why I wanted to stay, and all she said was that she has felt so welcomed by the club and sees how much I enjoy it here.'

Football transfer rumours: Grealish to Everton? Chelsea to make second Gittens bid?
Gianni Infantino's not-at-all-confusing first transfer window of the summer slams shut at the end of Tuesday, so teams involved in his cherished new Club World Cup are scrambling to complete deals ahead of a tournament they're not sure they care about. Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of Jamie Gittens. The German club, said to be looking for a fee of upwards of £40m for the winger, have rejected an opening bid from Chelsea of just short of £30m. Bit of a gap to bridge there, then. Gittens, 20, is an England youth international and – as is often the case – spent a period in the Chelsea academy. Chelsea are thought to be delving into their reserves to make a second cash offer. As they aim to close deals for Wolves' Rayan Aït-Nouri and Milan's Tijjani Reijnders, Manchester City are trying their best to offload Jack Grealish before jetting off to the States this week. Everton are said to be interested in the winger, with the club's new owners keen to bring in a stellar name to play alongside other superstars like James Tarkowski, James Garner and Beto when David Moyes' side move into their new stadium this summer. Grealish scored a whopping three goals in 32 appearances in all competitions for City last season, so you get the feeling that he'd fit right in at the prestigious Hill Dickinson Stadium. Advertisement Related: How every Premier League club's summer business is shaping up In the north east, Newcastle are reportedly turning their attention to Brighton's João Pedro in order to bolster their squad to make a better fist of the Champions League this coming campaign. Another of Eddie Howe's attacking targets, Bryan Mbeumo, appears unable to resist the lure of Manchester United, which has left João Pedro as a top target at St James' Park. Surely the clearest evidence that the Brazilian could be on his way is the bid that Brighton are said to have made for Charalampos Kostoulas. Yes, that Charalampos Kostoulas. The 18-year-old Olympiakos striker, who scored six goals in 21 league games last season, has been the subject of a bid worth £34m from the Seagulls. He would be the second teenage Greek forward to move to Brighton this year after Stefanos Tzimas was signed from PAOK in January. Do they know something we don't? Harvey Elliott, who is heading off to the Under-21 European Championship this summer despite being, what, 28 by now, appears to be angling for some more playing time at Liverpool and/or an exit. Elliott made just two league starts for the Premier League champions last season and has said: 'I don't really want to be wasting years on my career because it's a short career. You don't know what's going to happen.' After apparently rejecting a move to Nottingham Forest recently, the midfielder could be more likely to seek his fortune abroad. Let's call it the Scott McTominay effect. Or Jude Bellingham – whatever. Arsenal have spent much of the first window working on tying up a deal for Martín Zubimendi. Real Madrid, as they are wont to do sometimes, are apparently trying to muscle in on these negotiations. The Real Sociedad midfielder has already rejected one move to England, turning down Liverpool last summer. Maybe it's the food. And who can blame him? Advertisement Cristiano Ronaldo is one player who will not be featuring at the Club World Cup. The now two-time Nations League winner has all but confirmed that he will be staying at Al-Nassr. 'Basically nothing is going to change,' the 40-year-old said after Portugal's penalty shootout win against Spain in Munich, once he'd stopped crying obviously. Joining Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia this summer could be Jadon Sancho. Al-Hilal, whose current wide options include the former Barcelona icon Malcom and Saudi Arabia's World Cup hero against Argentina Salem Al-Dawsari, are reportedly pursuing Sancho as well as Liverpool's Luis Díaz, Tottenham's Son Heung-min and Sporting's Viktor Gyökeres. Perhaps these players can be enticed by the prospect of being comfortably beaten but not humiliated by Real Madrid in their Club World Cup opener in Miami. Who knows, maybe they'd even get to meet Gianni.
