Preparations for the Fourth Round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) will get under way on Sunday, with all teams taking part in two three-hour practice sessions.
It is the only extended non-timed running they can take advantage of around the famous Circuit de la Sarthe before free practice on Wednesday and then qualifying later that day.
After the 2024 edition, Eastwood said he was 'super proud' of his team's efforts despite a chronic lack of straight-line performance starving them of real LMGT3 action. At the end of almost 270 laps and 2,260 competitive miles, they crossed the line 15th in class.
However, considerable work has been going on behind the scenes since then to hone and improve Corvette Racing's TF-Sport-run LMGT3 challenger – the Z06 GT3.R – with most of the engineers' focus centring on Le Mans, the blue-riband meeting on the WEC calendar.
Eastwood – a class winner at the Le Mans when he was part of the Aston Martin Racing family back in 2020 – continues his partnership with Rui Andrade and Tom Van Rompuy.
'Both Rui and Tom are driving incredibly well,' said Eastwood. 'We love the car, and we are able to extract speed out of it.
'So, from our side, when you look at the line-up, we are pretty strong in that regard.
'We didn't have a great race at Le Mans last year, but as a team and a car, we have made huge strides in lots of areas so, hopefully, it can play into our favour.
'We haven't had the performance or results on our side, but the thing I am really hopeful about is that as a crew, as a team and as a Corvette programme, we're executing some really good races.
'With the energy side of things, we will probably have 27 pit-stops. Our guys have become super quick at tyre changes and the strategy has been very good in the last few events.
'When you add that up across 26 or 27 pit-stops, versus just four during the course of a race, it can really make a massive difference in the pitlane.'
The LMGT3 grid is growing for Le Mans from 18 to 24, with a third Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG and a third Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R just two of the extra cars joining the permanent FIA WEC line-up.

ANGE-R MANAGEMENT Spurs facing 'dressing room revolt over Ange Postecoglou sacking as players threaten to quit' after backing Aussie boss ANGE POSTECOGLOU'S replacement could walk into a dressing room revolt at Tottenham, according to reports. The Aussie was axed just two weeks after lifting the Europa League to end the club's 17-year trophy drought. 3 Players are fuming over Ange Postecoglou's sacking Credit: Getty 3 Spurs chief Daniel Levy is facing a dressing room revolt Credit: PA Brentford's Thomas Frank is the leading candidate to take over, with Fulham boss Marco Silva and Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola also in the running. And the new man's first job could be to lift spirits in a devastated dressing room full of players that have spoken out in support of Postecoglou. The Telegraph claim the sacking has angered many and some stars now want to leave this summer. A "player revolt" is a worry for chief Daniel Levy as players are unhappy over the way "Postecoglou's exit has been handled". Captain Son Heung-min called him a "legend", who "changed the trajectory of the club and believed in us". Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario wrote: "You are not only a top manager, you are an incredible person to work for, a real leader, a mentor, and someone I'll always look up to. "What we achieved TOGETHER will stay in the history books." JOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUS 3 Pedro Porro said: "For mentoring me early on, helping me settle into the club, and trusting me out on the pitch. "I'll always be grateful for the way you led us, defended us, and kept us going through all the highs and lows. "Above everything, you gave us one of the greatest moments in the club's history and for that, you'll always be celebrated." Dominic Solanke added: "Thank you for bringing me to this wonderful club, thank you for bringing us a wonderful trophy. "Won't ever forget the convo we had before I signed and we achieved a dream! All the best in your next adventure." An official Spurs statement said it was a unanimous decision to get rid of Postecoglou despite it being a "tough" decision. They said: "Whilst winning the Europa League this season ranks as one of the club's greatest moments, we cannot base our decision on emotions aligned to this triumph." Ange Breaks Silence On Tottenham Sacking ANGE Postecoglou issued a statement just moments after being axed. It read: "When I reflect on my time as manager of Tottenham Hotspur, my overriding emotion is one of pride. "The opportunity to lead one of England's historic football clubs and bring back the glory it deserves will live with me for a lifetime. "Sharing that experience with all those who truly love this club and seeing the impact it had on them is something I will never forget. "That night in Bilbao was the culmination of two years of hard work, dedication and unwavering belief in a dream. "There were many challenges to overcome and plenty of noise that comes with trying to accomplish what many said was not possible. "We have also laid the foundations that means this club should not have to wait 17 more years for their next success. "I have enormous faith in this group of players and know there is much more potential and growth in them. I sincerely want to thank those who are the lifeblood of the club, the supporters. "I know there were some difficult times, but I always felt that they wanted me to succeed and that gave me all the motivation I needed to push on. "It's important to acknowledge the hard working people at Spurs who gave me encouragement on a daily basis. "And finally, I want to thank those who were with me every day for the last two years. "A fantastic group of young men who are now legends of this football club and the brilliant coaches who never once doubted we could do something special. 'We are forever connected. Hardcore new Lotus Emira SE models launch the British Porsche Cayman rival close to £100k

New entry-level 'Turbo' and range-topping 'V6 SE' versions of the Lotus Emira are now available to order, with the two bookends of the British-built sports car's line-up costing from £79,500 and £96,500 respectively. The Emira Turbo features, as you've probably deduced, a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine from AMG that spits out 360bhp – enough to fling the Porsche 718 Cayman rival from 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds. The new edition sits below the recently launched Turbo SE that produces a round 400bhp from the same engine, and can pull off the benchmark sprint in 4.0 seconds, but costs £10,000 more. Both the Turbo and Turbo SE are available exclusively with a dual-clutch automatic transmission, although Lotus has tweaked it to deliver better, faster gearchanges than earlier examples. Standard equipment includes 12-way electrically adjustable seats with a memory function, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus various safety and driver-assistance systems. Meanwhile the Emira V6 SE uses a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine that also produces 400bhp – good for 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds – however the six-speed manual gearbox it comes with as standard has been tuned for better driver engagement. More specifically, Lotus has fitted a new compression mount, which the firm says allows for more precise gearchanges. Skip advert Advertisement - Article continues below An automatic transmission is available on this version too, and adding it cuts the 0-62mph time down to 4.8 seconds. Elsewhere, the dampers and wheel alignment have been fettled to provide sharper handling and better ride comfort. The V6 SE is also offered with a choice of two chassis and suspension set-ups. Lotus says 'Tour' is tuned for everyday road use, designed to offer sharp handling with a more comfortable ride, while 'Sports' adds stiffer springs and dampers, making it better suited for track use. The boffins in Hethel have also adjusted the Emira's cooling system, recalibrating the air-conditioning control system and routing the coolant lines differently to provide better flow to both the transmission oil cooler and the main radiator. Lotus says this not only provides more cooling, but also reduces the weight of the car. Finally, Lotus has introduced two new paint colours to the Emira range – EOS Green and Purple Haze – and a new Racing Line specification, which is available on both the Turbo SE and V6 SE. For an extra £3,000, this adds yellow, red or silver accents to the front splitter, plus brake calipers and mirrors caps in the same colour, which is also used for the stitching in the cabin.
