Jason Momoa's Dramatic New Look Causes Fans to Revolt: 'Like Watching an Angel Lose Their Wings'

Yahoo6 days ago
Jason Momoa isn't making his fans pleased with his latest makeover.
The "Aquaman" actor, known for his hunky stature, luscious long hair, and full facial hair, is often hailed as one of the sexiest Hollywood stars.
However, a significant change to Momoa's look for the first time in years has fans backtracking on their usual praises.
Jason Momoa Shaves Off Beards In Unbelievable Clip
On Wednesday, Momoa shocked the internet with a new beardless look. The actor was caught on camera shaving his beard while trying to raise awareness about single-use plastic.
The Instagram video began with a recording of Momoa using an electric clipper to get rid of all of his facial hair. Upon looking at the final result in the mirror, he declared, "God damnit, I hate it!"
Despite his dislike for his new look, Momoa used the makeover to promote his sustainable water company, Mananalu. He reflected on the company's six-year journey, highlighting that they were "one of the first to ever release the aluminum bottle."
Momoa's brand has since come far, but hasn't relented in its goal of stopping the use of single-use plastic. "We don't need it," he declared. Hence, they are partnering with Boomerang Water to release a new sustainable product.
In the accompanying caption, the actor revealed it was his first time shaving in years. "Haven't shaved in six years, and here we are again. I launched @mananalu to help eliminate single-use plastic. Now, we're taking it even further," it read.
Fans Troll The 'Dune' Actor For His Beardless Look
Despite Momoa's dramatic makeover being for a good cause, fans are far from impressed and didn't hold their tongues.
"Not to be dramatic, but this is like watching an angel lose their wings," one disappointed fan slammed on X.
"A beard might just be the male version of makeup," another harsh comment read.
A third fan observed, "I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of women suddenly cried out in terror and were no longer thirsty."
This user penned, "Can't believe he actually shaved. Feels like a new era." Describing Momoa's new look, this fan wrote, "He doesn't look bad, he just doesn't look right."
Jason Momoa Shaves To Make A Change
Knowing the effect his beard has on his fanbase, Momoa only shaves for the good of the environment.
True to the "Baywatch" alum's words, the first time he removed his facial hair was in 2019 when he first launched his company.
Fans may recall that Momoa documented the move in a YouTube video where he bid farewell to his famous bearded characters.
"Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA! I'm shaving this beast off; it's time to make a change. A change for the better...for my kids, for your kids, the world," he wrote in the description.
The 45-year-old was proud of his lack of facial hair then, describing his look as "pretty good!"
The 'Aquaman' Actor Also Chopped Off His Hair
Momoa's facial hair isn't the only thing he sacrifices to raise awareness about the things dear to him, the environment and Hawaii.
In 2022, The Blast reported that the DC Comics actor shaved off his head to debut a sentimental tattoo that honors his ancestral home. Momoa flaunted the buzzcut on social media, featuring a traditional Hawaiian tattoo inked on the left side.
He documented how he got the unique inking done, surrounded by his other Hawaiian relatives and brothers dressed in their native attire. Momoa, who described the move as a new beginning, declared that he was "honored to be part of this powerful moment in my life."
A Look At Jason Momoa's Wild Move At Ozzy Osbourne's Final Concert
Momoa's unveiled beardless look comes weeks after he made headlines for stealing the show at the late Ozzy Osbourne's final concert.
During the historic concert held at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, Momoa, who served as the master of ceremonies, cemented his status as a certified "metalhead."
In a viral moment that took fans by storm, the "Game of Thrones" star ditched his cushy VIP section, jumping over the barricade to do a mosh pit with fans.
The chaotic but utterly pleasant moment had fans gushing on social media. "Moshing with Jason Momoa was not on my bingo card!" a thrilled fan exclaimed.
"He is the coolest dude on the planet. Name one other celebrity as big as him who would do this... No one. Helps that he is a monster, lol," another added.

Breast milk-flavored ice cream hits the market. Where can you buy a scoop?

At one point or another, most of us have tried breast milk as babies, though few remember how it tastes. So Frida Mom and OddFellows Ice Cream partnered together to jog our memories — like it or not — with a strangely familiar taste: breast milk-flavored ice cream. 'Our ice cream is lightly sweet, a little salty, with hints of honey and a dash of colostrum,' Frida Mom says in a description online. And, no, it's not really made with human breast milk. But the ingredients mimic the sweet, salty, creamy and umami flavors of real breast milk. A pop-up location opened at OddFellows Ice Cream at 44 Water Street in Brooklyn, New York City, where curious buyers can try a spoonful for themselves. The pop-up will run from Aug. 5 to Aug. 10. Free scoops are also being given from noon to 1 p.m. daily 'while supplies last,' Frida Mom said in an Instagram post. Anyone can order the 14-ounce tub of the oddly nostalgic sweet treat online for $12.99. It can be shipped to any state in the U.S. except Alaska and Hawaii. Dozens of people turned to Frida Mom's Instagram comments to share how they feel about breast milk-flavored ice cream. 'They turned the liquid gold into ICE CREAM !?!?' one person commented. 'Isn't all ice cream technically breast milk,' someone else said. 'So it's just … cow breast milk? A little relieved and a little mad,' one person said. 'I hear Oreos are good for milk production ☺️ in case you want to throw in some flavors,' another person wrote.k

Chase Daniel breaks down training camp film of Broncos QB Bo Nix

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been honing his craft in preparation for the 2025 NFL season, and the experts are taking notice. Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel recently attended Broncos training camp alongside The Athletic's Diana Russini, and he was pleasantly surprised with the progress Nix has shown from 2024 to now. "I'm telling you, Bo Nix looks excellent," Daniel said on his YouTube channel. "He's ready to make a huge jump into year two." In his eight-minute assessment of Nix, Daniel complimented Nix's quick footwork, crisp passes on both downfield and intermediate throws and his improved mechanics after working with throwing guru Tom House. For example, at one point while looking at a clip of Nix taking a dropback, Daniels remarked, "That's the quickest five-step drop you could possibly take." As a former quarterback himself, Daniel then took viewers through why he likes what he sees. "I like these type of drills; this is really cool. (It is) a little peek under the hood of how things are made in a perfect throw," said Daniel. Daniel reviewed about 10 throws from Nix, showing how his game has taken a dramatic step forward going into 2025. "I am bullish on the Denver Broncos," said Daniel. "I think they have everything they need." Fans will get their first look at Nix's growth when Denver takes on the San Francisco 49ers in their preseason opener on Saturday (view the full preseason schedule). Why Did Paige DeSorbo Leave ‘Summer House'?

Fresh off her Las Culturistas Culture Award win for the Allison Williams Cool Girl Award, Bravo star Paige DeSorbo is revealing why she made the decision to leave Summer House after seven seasons on the reality show. For the better part of a decade, fans have tuned in to see Paige and her Summer House co-stars drive out to the Hamptons on summer weekends to party, drink, fight, and hook up—your classic reality TV drama. And viewers were devastated when, earlier this summer, Paige announced that season 9 would be her last. 'Like all good things (and some bad decisions), it's time for this chapter to close,' she wrote in part in an Instagram post announcing her decision, adding, 'You haven't seen the last of me, I promise.' At the time, it wasn't clear what exactly Paige would be doing instead of Summer House, but now we have a little bit of a clearer picture. 'When it came time to start thinking about the summer, I really just had a moment where I was like, 'Wait a minute, I can't go film a TV show,'' Paige said in an interview with Larry Crespo's Bravo by Gays podcast, explaining that she's simply too busy to add filming a reality show to her already very busy schedule. 'This past spring, I was like, 'I really need time off.' I don't physically think I could film Summer House.' The decision to leave Summer House did not come lightly and was made after 'months and months of thinking,' Paige said, though she did have a feeling that season 9 would be her last when she finished filming in 2024. 'I definitely felt different leaving last summer. There was something where I had this gut feeling where I was just like, 'This is probably the last time I'll ever leave this house,'' she recounted. Instead of spending the summer filming, Paige has spent the last few months promoting her sleepwear line Daphne, while co-hosting her podcast Giggly Squad and balancing other work commitments. And it sounds like she doesn't regret opting out of partying with the Summer House crew. 'I wouldn't have been able to come this summer and be truly authentic,' she told Bravo by Gays. 'I've worked so much this year. I don't want to go out on a Friday and Saturday night. It's not my vibe anymore.'
