US President Donald Trump has confirmed that his administration will not extend the 90-day pause on tariffs for most countries, setting the stage for new trade penalties to take effect after 9 July. In an interview with Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures, Trump said countries will soon receive formal notification that tariffs will be imposed unless individual trade agreements are reached.
According to Trump, letters will be sent out "pretty soon" before the deadline, outlining the tariff levels for each country, which could range from 10% to as high as 50%. "We'll look at how a country treats us — are they good, are they not so good,' Trump said. "Some countries we don't care, we'll just send a high number out."
While negotiations are ongoing, Trump acknowledged the challenges of brokering deals with multiple countries. "There's 200 countries, you can't talk to all of them," he said, referencing the administration's original target of reaching 90 trade agreements in 90 days.

It's hard to not rely on air-conditioning when living in a hot and humid country like Singapore.
And, a lot of Yahoo Singapore readers think so too – with a whopping 87 per cent agreeing that it's a necessity from a poll conducted last Friday (27 June). A total of 1,223 respondents participated in the poll, as of press time.
Using the air-conditioning is a catch-22 for those living in countries with a tropical climate all year round.
The two billion units operating worldwide are responsible for 7 per cent of annual global greenhouse gas emissions, according to the United Nations Environment Program. This number is expected to double by 2030 when more than five billion units are projected to be in use.
This will result in a vicious circle as increased carbon output pushes temperatures higher, resulting in more air-conditioning use.
According to a CNN report in 2023, Singapore is one of the most air-conditioned countries in the world, with more units per capita than any of its Southeast Asian neighbours.
Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk has reignited the feud with US President Donald Trump as he once again criticised the controversial "Big, Beautiful Bill" that's making its way through the Senate. The 940-page proposal, which Musk branded 'utterly insane and destructive', is being pushed forward by Senate Republicans.
On Saturday (28 June), Musk took to X and warned that the bill would 'destroy millions of jobs' and 'cause immense strategic harm' to America. "The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country," he wrote. "Utterly insane and destructive. It gives handouts to industries of the past, while severely damaging industries of the future."
Musk, who once headed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under Trump before an ugly fallout, didn't hold back. He called the bill "political suicide" for the Republican party, and said it "raises the debt ceiling by $5 trillion, the biggest increase in history, putting America in the fast lane to debt slavery".
The billionaire also cited polling data to claim that public sentiment is on his side.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez wrapped up what could be the most high-profile – yet tightly controlled – wedding of the year with a glamorous celebration in Venice over the weekend. The three-day affair culminated on Saturday (29 June) evening at the Arsenale, a former medieval shipyard now used for the Venice Biennale.
The couple arrived at the venue by boat, trailed closely by the media. Sanchez wore a striking pink gown later revealed by Vogue magazine to be designed by Atelier Versace, while Bezos kept things classic in an all-black suit. Earlier in the day, the pair were seen entering the iconic Harry's Bar, a place that once counted literary giant Ernest Hemingway among its customers. Meanwhile, protestors gathered near the city's train station for a march.
The wedding ceremony itself took place the day before on the secluded island of San Giorgio Maggiore, known for its Renaissance architecture and scenic views. The private event, attended by about 200 celebrity guests – including Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Usher, and the Kardashian-Jenner clan – was reportedly held under a strict no-social-media policy.
Details were later revealed through a digital Vogue cover, which showcased Sanchez in a custom-made Dolce & Gabbana gown featuring a high lace neckline and 180 silk chiffon-covered priest buttons. She reportedly changed outfits two more times during the evening, slipping into a sweetheart-neck gown inspired by the 1946 film Gilda, and a crystal-covered cocktail dress by Oscar de la Renta, said to be embellished with over 175,000 crystals.
Shortly after the Vogue reveal, Sanchez updated her Instagram handle – now reading Lauren Sanchez Bezos.

Lisa Both Matches And Beats Jung Kook's Radio Records
Lisa's 'Priceless' with Maroon 5 ties Jung Kook's 'Seven' with seven weeks on Billboard's Radio ... More Songs chart, matching a K-pop soloist milestone. BANGKOK, THAILAND - FEBRUARY 14: Lalisa Manobal attends "The White Lotus" Season 3 Bangkok Premiere at ICONSIAM River Park on February 14, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. (Photo by Billy H.C. Kwok/Getty Images for HBO) When it comes to scoring hits on Billboard's all-genre Radio Songs chart, Jung Kook stands as the most successful K-pop soloist, at least in terms of his total number of appearances. The BTS superstar has already landed on the tally three times under his solo name, and all of those tracks have managed historically-long stays – at least by K-pop artist standards at American radio. As time goes on, some of his accomplishments have been matched — and even beaten — by other K-pop stars. Lisa, one of the four members of Blackpink, has bested one of Jung Kook's runs on the Radio Songs tally and matched another one of his as her recent collaboration with Maroon 5, "Priceless," continues to find space on the highly-competitive airplay ranking. "Priceless" Climbs to a New Peak "Priceless" inches up from No. 47 to No. 43 on the Radio Songs list this frame. That position marks a new all-time high for the track on the list of the biggest hits on American radio. Chart position is certainly important, but it's the duration of the song's stay that is especially significant at the moment. Lisa Matches Jung Kook's Chart Run "Priceless" has now spent seven weeks on the Radio Songs chart. The cut matches Jung Kook's "Seven," a collaboration with rapper Latto, which fell off the list after a very fitting seven frames. At this point, "Priceless" and "Seven" are jointly tied as the fourth-longest-running hits by any K-pop soloist on the Radio Songs tally. Lisa and Maroon 5 form one tie with the BTS singer as they break another. "Too Much," a joint effort with The Kid Laroi and Central Cee, lasted six weeks before disappearing from the Radio Songs chart. Rosé Holds the Record for Longest-Running Hit The all-time record among K-pop soloists is held by "Apt.," fronted by Blackpink's Rosé alongside Bruno Mars. That composition jumps to No. 21 this frame and extends its lead to an incredible 33 weeks on the list. Following "Apt." is Psy's viral smash "Gangnam Style," which managed 13 frames more than a decade ago. "Left and Right," a collaboration between Charlie Puth and Jung Kook, sits just one week behind that smash, with a 12-week run. Another Week Could Break the Tie "Priceless" will likely remain on the Radio Songs chart next week. If it manages to hold onto a spot in the top 50, Lisa will break her current tie with Jung Kook. Whether she can stretch the track's life long enough to tie or surpass Jung Kook's all-time longest-charting solo effort remains to be seen, but since "Priceless" hasn't climbed very high on the roster, there's a chance it could fall off in the near future.

Kim Kardashian Has Everyone — Including Her Friends — Wondering If She Paid $10M for a Birkin Bag
Kim Kardashian is known for her extravagant taste — but even her close friends are wondering if she just dropped some serious cash on an iconic bag. On Saturday, July 11, Kardashian shared a video that featured a model breaking a glass case containing the original Birkin bag inspired by the late actress Jane Birkin, who died in July 2023. Kardashian followed up the post with a series of texts from various people, all wondering if she had purchased the bag, which sold for €8.6 million ($10.1 million) at auction on Friday, July 10. "Are u the winner of the first Birkin bag?" one text read. "Please tell me you bought that Birkin," another friend texted. "Would be BAD ASS." "Kim for real did you buy the original Birkin??? Or should I stop blaming you every time I lose an auction?" another text read. Turns out, and despite Kardashian's hints and her friends' speculation, the bag ultimately went to Valuence Japan, Inc., in Minato-ku, Tokyo, who placed their bid through Maiko Ichikawa, Country Head of Sotheby's Japan. The Associated Press reported that the auction began at $1 million and the bag had bids placed in person and via phone. The final four bids were for €6.2 million, $6.5 million and $6.8 million. Kim Kardashian Reveals She Has Absolutely Nothing in Her Hermes Kelly Bag Back in 2012 Birkin — who famously often carried wicker baskets in lieu of a handbag — told Vogue how the iconic bag came into fruition. She was seated next to Jean-Louis Dumas, chairman of the Hermès group from 1978 to 2006, on a flight when the pair began to discuss the bag she had brought on the flight. 'I'd been upgraded by Air France on a flight to London, and I found myself sitting next to a man [the visionary Jean-Louis Dumas of Hermès],' she told writer Luke Leitch. 'I'm not quite sure what type of bag I had with me — my husband Jacques Doillon had reversed his car over my basket, crushed it on purpose not too days before. [Dumas] thought I deserved more.' She continued, 'Little did he know that on this airplane journey, when everything fell out of whatever bag I had, the man next to me said, 'you should have one with pockets.' I said, 'the day Hermès makes one with pockets I will have that.'' Birkin went on to add that the designer told her that because 'I am Hermès, and I will put pockets in for you.' ' 'I said 'why don't you make a handbag that is bigger than the Kelly but smaller than [former longtime partner] Serge's [Gainsbourg] suitcase?' And he said 'well, what would it be like?' And I think I drew it on the sick bag—or the not-be-sick bag. And he said 'I'll make it for you,'' she added. Where Else Was Kim Kardashian Supposed to Put Her Birkin While Sitting Courtside at That Lakers Game? Birkin popped into Hermès to buy the bag that had been designed, but instead Dumas offered to give it to her if she allowed him to name it for her. 'I was very flattered! They've turned it into the success we know today,' she said.
