The first trailer for the much anticipated new Bruce Springsteen biopic has been released – with actor Jeremy Allen White in the role of the Boss.
The Bear star plays a young Springsteen in Deliver Me From Nowhere, which chronicles the musician making his 1982 album Nebraska – featuring the singles Atlantic City, My Father's House and State Trooper.

The trailer shows short excerpts from the film, many of them with him playing guitar.

The first scene of the trailer shows a car dealer telling Springsteen's character: "I do know who you are." A solemn-looking Springsteen answers: "Well, that makes one of us."
Flashbacks show Springsteen as a young boy with his father, played by British actor Stephen Graham.
The film, from 20th Century Studios, is due to be released in cinemas on October 24.

The cast also features Succession actor Jeremy Strong as Springsteen's long-time mentor and manager, Jon Landau, Cruella star Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, and Mothering Sunday actress Odessa Young as love interest Faye.
Nebraska pre-dated 1984's Born In The USA, the title of one of 75-year-old Springsteen's most known songs, and came after his 1975 breakthrough record Born To Run.
Director Scott Cooper, who wrote the script based on the book Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes, said: "Making Springsteen was deeply moving as it allowed me to step inside the soul of an artist I've long admired – and to witness, up close, the vulnerability and strength behind his music.

"The experience felt like a journey through memory, myth, and truth. And more than anything, it was a privilege to translate that raw emotional honesty to the screen, and in doing so, it changed me. I cannot thank Bruce and Jon Landau enough for allowing me to tell their story."
White has led all three seasons of hit drama The Bear, winning two Emmys and two Golden Globes for his role as chef Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto.
He is also known for playing Phillip Ronan "Lip" Gallagher in the US version of Shameless, and wrestler Kerry Von Erich in The Iron Claw.

Coldplay review – after 12m tickets sold, this tour is still a mindblowing spectacle

Fireworks explode, lasers shoot, giant balls bounce and a sea of LED wristbands pulse in synchronicity as a rugby stadium in Hull is turned into an exploding candy shop of colour. Now in its third year and approaching a final 10 nights at Wembley Stadium – though it's expected to return from 2027 – Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour is now the highest attended in rock history with more than 12m tickets sold. It's easy to see why. Over the Springsteen-esque shimmer of Higher Power, Chris Martin and co offer up a dizzying dose of Technicolor funk-pop with a level of production that is as impressive as it is overwhelming. At times it's like being plugged into a VR version of a 'good vibes only' LSD trip, including sections with the band dressed as cute aliens and the audience wearing 3D glasses that turn everything into lovehearts. There's no kiss-cam drama tonight and Martin is in effusive form, gushing praise for Hull and the crowd to almost sycophantic levels. It's arguably futile to criticise the cloying earnestness and heavy-handed sentiment of Coldplay, given how baked into their DNA and appeal it is by now, but it's laid on so thick it can feel exhausting. However, it is lapped up thirstily. When Martin tells the audience to 'dance like nobody's watching' over the EDM stomp of A Sky Full of Stars, to wave at someone in the crowd as if they are 'a best friend you've not met yet' during the eruptive surge of Yellow, or to send positivity to the people of Sudan through wiggling their fingers as pyrotechnics pop, they do just that. Fix You is turned into an almost candlelit mass-type singalong as the audience's wristbands turn into a warm yellow glow, and from a pounding version of Clocks to the gentle acoustic hum of Sparks, the band command, control and own every inch of the vast space as they move around it. An attempt at a karaoke-style singalong with the crowd to All My Love as a finale falls flat but it matters little. Fireworks are soon exploding again, bookending an evening that is pure visual extravaganza and intoxicating spectacle – like a rush of sugar to the head.

How Cheryl is keeping Liam Payne's selfless promise to Bear as she returns to spotlight

Cheryl has stepped back into the spotlight for the first time since the death of Liam Payne - and she is determined to honour his intentions for their young son Bear It's been ten months since Liam Payne tragically passed away - and his former partner Cheryl is determined to fulfil his wishes when it comes to their son, eight-year-old Bear. ‌ This week, Cheryl announced her first project following Liam's untimely death in October 2024. She has teamed up with skincare giant Nivea, and on Monday a teaser video was released, showing her walking into a studio before holding up a newspaper featuring the lyrics of her 2009 hit, Fight For This Love, alongside "August 2025", over her face. ‌ According to reports, Cheryl had a "non-negotiable request" when it came to her return to the spotlight - she would only take part if she could have her son Bear by her side. ‌ READ MORE: Liam Payne left emotional over Building The Band star's admission in final TV project An insider told the Daily Mail: "It was very important for Cheryl to have Bear there with her. They are inseparable... As you can imagine it has been the most heartbreaking few months for the two of them and she has done everything she can to support him. She has had some pretty low ebbs herself, but just seeing Bear happy always puts a smile back on her face." It's clear that Cheryl dotes on her son and she is determined to fulfil Liam's wishes when it comes to their only child. Liam previously spoke about his wish for Bear to inherit all his money, and sources say Cheryl will 'do the right thing' by ensuring that's exactly what happens. The One Direction singer, who fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, was declared intestate as he did not have a will. That meant, as an unmarried parent, his estate was to be shared between any children; he only had Bear. ‌ Cheryl was granted the power of administration of the musician's estate after his death. It is understood Liam's fortune, largely made during his boyband years, was placed in a trust for his son. The star left a total of £28,595,000, which was later reduced to £24,280,000 after his expenses and debts were paid, according to court documents. "It is a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything, that he will at least benefit from that. Liam had some very sensible people around him for a time and he adored Bear so much. He always wanted to do the right thing by him financially," a source close to Liam told Mail Online. ‌ Cheryl and Liam welcomed Bear in March 2017 but they went their separate ways when he was just one. The pair remained close, however, and Cheryl's heartbreak was clear following Liam's death. "As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I'd like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being," she wrote on Instagram. ‌ "Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again." At the time of his death, Liam was dating British-American influencer Kate Cassidy - but speaking he said in his documentary, Ant Middleton and Liam Payne: Straight Talking, he revealed how much he still treasured Cheryl. "She's one of the most, if not the most, important people in my life. I'm lucky I have someone who understands what I'm going through," he said. ‌ Cheryl, similarly, harboured no ill will. "There's no animosity whatsoever. We are learning all the time. We're just like any other couple that have gone through this, but we have a few more eyes watching us... Just a few." She told The Sun in 2019: "I'm actually really happy that we can be the way we are. We love and care about each other a lot and we share a child. It's really important that we're able to have a very healthy good relationship." She added: "We're going to be in each other's lives forever so we've got to figure it out and be grown-up about it." Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy posts heartbreaking memory taken just 12 months ago And Liam once gave fans an insight into their co-parenting agreement. The exes lived close to each other, and while Liam spent regular quality time with Bear, he told how Cheryl had generously given him free rein to do what he wants. "She is the best mum in the world . I couldn't ask for someone better," he told Logan Paul's podcast Impaulsive. "I get to take my son to school one or two times a week and it's the best thing. The relationship we have now as friends has only grown more. "We broke up for a reason and now she gives me full autonomy of my life and to do what I do and I know he's [Bear's] taken care of. He is all she cares about and I couldn't ask for more. They live like three minutes from my house. I always glue myself to where he is. My life now is his. My money is his. He's a lovely, lovely boy. We've been blessed."

Cheryl makes one 'non-negotiable request' for son Bear after Liam Payne death

Cheryl is said to have only agreed to return to the limelight after making a 'non-negotiable' condition following the death of her former boyfriend Liam Payne Cheryl has made a "non-negotiable request" for her return to the spotlight this week - her first appearance since the tragic passing of her former partner, Liam Payne. ‌ The star,42, features in a glitzy video for skincare titan Nivea, but it's reported that she only agreed to participate if her son Bear could be with her. The eight year old is the son of Liam, who Cheryl was in a relationship with from 2015-2018. ‌ A source revealed: "It was very important for Cheryl to have Bear there with her. They are inseparable... As you can imagine it has been the most heartbreaking few months for the two of them and she has done everything she can to support him. She has had some pretty low ebbs herself, but just seeing Bear happy always puts a smile back on her face." ‌ Following Liam's death in October last year, it was reported by the Mirror that Cheryl "will do the right thing" by Bear after it was revealed their son is set to inherit his father's entire £24million fortune. Since he did not leave a will, Liam's estate, as an unmarried parent, was divided among any children - and he only had Bear. And Cheryl's affection for her son was evident at the Nivea shoot, it's reported. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the insider said: "He has been her number one priority and always will be. So as she tentatively returns to the limelight it felt only right that Bear be there." Whilst Bear doesn't feature in the commercial, Cheryl is believed to have insisted on his presence at the shoot as the campaign cleverly references Liam, who she first met on the X Factor, where his group One Direction secured third place in 2010. In the Nivea advertisement, text appears stating: "This is right up our street" - a nod to one of Cheryl's beloved catchphrases from her judging days on the ITV show. ‌ She strides confidently into a studio before positioning herself before the camera and lighting equipment. Cheryl playfully conceals her face behind a newspaper marked "August 2025" in the commercial. ‌ However, the source reckons Bear, despite remaining off-camera, was "the most important person in the room". They added: "She (Cheryl) is fiercely protective of Bear and doesn't want his face out there. She is only too aware of the pitfalls of fame... There was such a fun atmosphere on set, and everybody was saying how cute Bear was." ‌ The commercial was shot last month at a top-secret venue in west London. Cheryl managed to share snippets of the advertisement on her Instagram yesterday, August 18, thrilling her 3.8 million followers. She has maintained a low profile since Liam plunged from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires. The singer was discovered to have had narcotics, including crack cocaine and methamphetamine, in his system. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
