Emmerdale spoilers - Robert Sugden returns, Bear goes missing and cancer news

Daily Mirrora day ago

Emmerdale spoilers for next week have confirmed new twists ahead on the ITV soap, as Robert Sugden is back again leading to drama with John, while there's also a disappearance
Viewers can expect a lot of trouble ahead on Emmerdale, as well as sad discoveries and big news.
There's Robert Sugden's full-time return to the village next week, leading to drama with love rival and brother John Sugden. There's also some "emotional" prison scenes prior to his comeback, and it's also set to get very tense.
Elsewhere a character suffers an angry outburst before going missing, leaving his loved ones concerned amid a new mystery plot. A character's cancer diagnosis is exposed to a family member, paving the way for upsetting scenes.
There's villagers at war aplenty too, in what will no doubt be a dramatic week of episode. Kicking things off, Ryan Hawley's character heads back to the village for good next week, and it could lead to drama.
Aaron Dingle will have a big decision to make as he visits his ex in prison, weeks on from marrying Robert's brother John. There's emotional moments as the pair open up to one another, just as there's concern for Robert as he's left in a state in prison.
As the pair reunite, amid Robron fans hoping they will give their romance another go after six years apart, Robert wastes no time in sharing how much he loves Aaron. He speaks for the viewers too as he tells Aaron that mysterious John is not the man for him.
Aaron is in turmoil over the chat, but remains adamant he made the right decision by marrying John. It's not long before controlling John finds out where his husband has been though and he heads to the prison himself.
Soon tense scenes see feuds boiling over as Robert exposes his recent kiss with Aaron. With that, a rivalry explodes with John prepared to get answers but also issuing his sibling with a sinister warning, making it clear he doesn't know what he's capable of.
But killer John may have met his match as Robert knows he's hiding something and is determined to find out what it is. Robert vows to return to the village, and soon he shows up leaving Aaron and John furious - but where will this lead?
Also next week the beginning of Bear's mystery plot kicks off with him set to return "a different person" according to bosses. Bear vanishes next week after an outburst, with it revealed he could be gone for weeks if not months.
As Bear leaves his motorbike parts strewn across the place, issues at home with his son Paddy and Paddy's wife Mandy continue to heat up. As Cain agrees to let him fix his motorbike there he feigns joy, but when alone he erupts into a fury at the bike with it clear something isn't right.
Bear snaps and even threatens Kammy, leaving Paddy concerned and in despair. He's dumbfounded though, as is Mandy, when Bear returns later on as if nothing has happened.
Soon, Bear becomes irritated by their questioning and heads away upstairs, leaving Paddy and Mandy to fear things are getting worse. But just as they agree to confront Bear, they are stunned to find him and his bike are gone.
Also next week, Charity Dingle finds out her granddaughter Sarah Sugden as the early stages of cervical cancer. Sarah has been keeping the news from her family amid her plan to continue with IVF.
There's drama between sisters Vanessa Woodfield and Tracy Robinson too, while Kammy is left frustrates as pal Vinny Dingle gives him the cold shoulder. A final spoiler takes us back to Robert, as it's hinted he's facing trauma from his time in prison that threatens to land him in trouble.

Shock moment man REJECTS life-changing $40,000 jackpot offer on Tipping Point - before the unexpected happens

An Aussie game show hopeful defied the odds this week, after rejecting a life-changing jackpot offer. Contestant John, 72, appeared on Monday's episode of popular Nine game show Tipping Point, where he had reached the endgame of the show- Jackpot Temptation. He had already banked $4,200 and had his eyes firmly set on the $20,000 jackpot prize. If that wasn't enough temptation, host Todd Woodbridge upped the ante, much to the contestant's surprise. 'What would you say if I gave you one counter and increased the jackpot to $40,000?' Todd asked. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'You would lose $4,200 if you decided to take Jackpot Temptation, but it's so rare to get to this position side-by-side.' Playing it safe, John rejected Todd's offer, saying: 'The chance of one [counter]...it would have to fall 100 per cent in the right spot. so, no, I will sadly decline that.' John's move was praised by his wife Helen who shouted from the audience: 'No, it's too much of a risk.' Todd then intervened with: 'Helen what would do it for you?' before tempting John again. 'I'm going to give you a final offer. I will give you three counters for $20,000,' Todd said as excitement in the studio rose. It seemed that Lady Luck was smiling on John on Monday as he ended up nabbing the $20,000 jackpot with his first of three counters. The crowd erupted in cheers over John's big win and Helen rushed the stage to celebrate with her husband. It comes after Channel Nine recently hit back at claims that the popular game show was 'rigged'. Fans took to social media in April to slam the show after they they noticed a counter mysteriously move across the board. The footage was taken from a recent episode in which a counter was dropped down the shelf and landed on the board, directly in line to move several discs off the shelf - setting the contestant up for a large payout. However, the disc then appeared to move several inches by itself to the right of the floor, where it was not in a position to knock over any discs, increasing the chances of the contestant losing. The contestant in question, Graham, did not win any money during the episode and was the second player eliminated on the night. 'Tipping Point is not rigged, they say. Watch this... Using magnets, what the hell,' the viewer sniped over the footage. However, in a statement to Daily Mail Australia, a Channel Nine spokesperson denied any suggestions the show was rigged. 'Nine refutes the claim that the game is rigged and that magnets were used to manipulate the counter,' the network told Daily Mail Australia. 'There are absolutely no magnets involved.' Fans were divided over the clip and took to the comment section to share their thoughts. However, some said the footage did not prove the show was rigged and said there might be a more simple solution. 'It's the push force on the disc,' one person suggested. 'They're actually wooden discs. Not metal like they sound like,' another wrote. They added there was a logical explanation for the counter appearing to move by itself in the clip. 'The machine's counters, wall, and shelves are all constructed from Perspex' they said. 'The movement observed in the clip is a result of natural suction that can occur between two flat, clean Perspex surfaces when they are in close contact. This suction can create friction, affecting the smoothness of the counter's movement.'

ITV axes beloved breakfast show segment in new cost-cutting measures

ITV has been forced to make more major cuts in an attempt to manage costs and it is bad news for some huge breakfast stars. ITV's Andi Peters and Jeff Brazier will reportedly no longer be sent on lavish holidays abroad as the broadcaster have been forced to cut all their expenses-paid trips. Over the past year, the duo have been whisked off to a number of sun-soaked locations to front ITV competitions, appearing on programmes such as Good Morning Britain, Loose Women, This Morning and Lorraine. Andi's enviable locations have included the Maldives, Australia, Cape Town, and Florida while Jeff has been sent to Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malta. However, channel executives believe it's in "bad taste" to continue flying presenters to exotic destinations after announcing hundreds of devastating redundancies across ITV as part of their cost-saving measures. ‌ An insider told MailOnline: "ITV have scaled back on sending top talent overseas to present their competition segments. The competitions themselves, which give viewers the chance to win six figure sums and idyllic holidays, bring in a great deal of revenue, but constantly flying the likes of Andi and Jeff to the Maldives and South Africa was starting to frustrate staff and viewers alike." ‌ The source continued: "It was decided that they would dial down for a few weeks after the budget cuts were announced and no one has flown overseas to present the competitions since. "As well as there being a backlash online from disgruntled viewers, it was felt continuing to send talent abroad to luxurious holiday destinations as others are losing their jobs would be in bad taste." ITV's budget cuts were first announced last month, with a number of popular programmes taking a huge hit as the broadcaster battles a mounting financial crisis, the Express reports. ‌ The Lorraine Show will lose its long-standing hour-long slot from January 2026 , and will now air for just 30 minutes from 9:30am until 10am. The show, presented by Lorraine Kelly, has seen its airtime been slashed in half and the talk show has also been restricted to being broadcast just 30 weeks of the year. ‌ Fears have been circulating that the Scots presenter may quit her show, which has been running since 2010, as a result of the cuts. Lorraine received the news after returning to work following a surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes last year. The surgery was described as "preventative" and performed via keyhole surgery. ‌ As part of the shake-up, Good Morning Britain will have its current 6am to 9am slot extended until 9:30am. During the 22 weeks of the year that Lorraine will now be off-air, Good Morning Britain's airtime has been extended until 10am, adding an extra hour to its original schedule. Meanwhile, This Morning will still air from 10:30am to 12:30pm but another show which is being scaled back is Loose Women. The popular ITV daytime programme will now also air on a seasonal basis for just 30 weeks a year. According to MailOnline, Loose Women is set to scrap their live audience due to the ongoing budget cuts.

Love Island announce two new boys as heartbroken star sent home in huge twist

Love Island have announced two new singletons for this series. The new season kicked off on Monday, but this year's singles haven't had the chance to get comfortable in their couples, as ITV producers quickly started sending in bombshells left, right, and centre. The girls were the first to come under fire as American pool party waitress Antonia Laites entered the villa and immediately stole Shakira's man. This left her vulnerable to being dumped from the island, so she soon had to start chatting up the other girls' partners in a last-ditch attempt to save herself before the next firepit ceremony. However, now it is the men on the show who have had the pressure put on them as two new bombshells have entered the villa and are ready to crack on with their girls, following the devastating dumping of Sophie Lee. Here is what we know about the new lads... Shea, 25, from Bristol, said he is looking for someone bubbly, who's got "that spark". Unlike some of the other boys in the villa, this one is not looking to mess around. Shea wants to find a good girl with a "nice personality" to get serious with. It's also very important to him that she will be understanding of the important role his young son plays in his life. The scaffolder, who admits he spends most mornings in the gym, added: "I am ready again to look for something more serious. I'm 25 now, so I want to be settling down and have someone always by my side." Although Shea is looking for a wifey, his single days are not far behind him. When asked what he would be the boss of, he didn't hesitate to say "pulling girls". The cheeky gym buff added: "I'm confident to go up and introduce myself and say, 'You look beautiful', to get a conversation flowing." Essex-based content creator Remell, 24, wants to meet someone who is "bubbly, confident, ambitious and fun". He admitted he easily gets bored of being with the same person, so girls on the island better look out, because his head might be quickly turned. Remell joked that a film based on his love life up until now would be called "Once a Player, Not Always a Player", adding: "I'm the CEO of flirting. Sometimes it's just unintentional." The self improvement guru also opened up about his high standards, saying he needs a woman who can "stimulate him mentally" and his biggest ick is someone with no ambition or goals. He shared: "If I can't talk to a woman and pick her brain, have some discussion, that's a huge turn off for me as where are we going to be going?" The two new boys were introduced to the villa moments after the other Islanders were left devastated by Sophie's exit. The motivational speaker from Manchester was axed from the show after Shakira decided to steal her man in order to remain in the villa, so the bombshells have got some cheering up to do. .
