NORTH COUNTRY, N.Y. (WWTI) – Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties were put under an Ice Storm Warning. Lewis County is only under a Moderate Winter Weather Advisory.
All three counties are forecasted to get a combination of snow and ice until Sunday. The alerts for Jefferson County will run until 11 p.m. Sunday, while the advisory runs out at 8 p.m. Sunday for St. Lawrence County.
The Ice Storm Warning includes freezing rain, with event total ice accumulations of a half an inch to an inch in northern Jefferson County, with a quarter to a half inch of ice across southern portions of the county. Significant ice accumulations are also expected in St. Lawrence County.
The NWS reminds drivers to plan on slippery road conditions and the possibility of isolated power outages and tree damages. Travel could become hazardous and motorists are asked to take their time driving.
If anyone is going outside, people are told to watch their first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall.

Americans across parts of Texas and Louisiana are urged to stay home or seek shelter as strong thunderstorms and hail sweep across their states. Winds of up to 40 mph and half-inch hail is forecast across the two states, according to the National Weather Service's (NWS) special weather advisories. The NWS recommends residents, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Will it rain on Indy's Pride Parade? Thunderstorms are possible Saturday. See the forecast

Not to rain on the parade, literally, but the latest weather forecast for Central Indiana could put a damper on Indy's annual Pride Parade and the Word of Mouth concert series. There's a strong chance for showers and thunderstorms Saturday into Sunday around Indianapolis, according to the National Weather Service, meaning LGBTQ+ Hoosiers might want to bring an umbrella if they go out this weekend to Pride. Here's what we know. Saturday, June 14, 2025, is the date of this year's Indy Pride parade, which runs from 10 a.m. to noon. The Word of Mouth concert takes place afterwards at the American Legion Mall, 700 N. Pennsylvania St, from 2 to 10 p.m. both on Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15. Story continues after photo gallery. Saturday's weather forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to NWS. The high is expected to be around 84. On Saturday night, there's a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m. with a low of 68. Parade and concert attendees Saturday should take an umbrella and bring a poncho just in case, according to Cody Moore, a local meteorologist with NWS in Indianapolis. "It does look like we have rain moving in for much of the day," Moore said. "Scattered showers, or numerous showers and thunderstorms," adding Indianapolis has a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the daytime with a chance for dry spells later in the evening. Moore said the exact timing of rain showers in the Indianapolis metro area isn't clear as of yet. He advised Hoosiers to keep an eye on the forecast the closer it gets to the end of the week. IndyStar reached out Tuesday to representatives with Indy Pride, responsible for organizing the annual parade and concert series, and inquired about what attendees could expect given Saturday's forecast. IndyStar is currently awaiting their response. Moore recommended Hoosiers attending Pride have a plan in case storms become severe. "If you see lightning or hear thunder, make sure you head indoors. Being outside is definitely not safe and poses a threat," Moore said. "I know downtown will be very busy, so make sure you know where the closest shelter is in case thunderstorms head your way." ☀️ Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Getting A Small Breather From the Rain

After a round of stronger storms on Monday, we get a breather from stormy conditions over the next few days. Here is a look at the last 24 hours. We are at 0.50″ at Huntsville International almost two weeks into June. Futurecast is quiet through the middle of the week. We have drier air behind a cold front. After some early morning showers Tuesday, we are free and clear for awhile. You can get out and mow the grass later today. Father's Day weekend could turn a little more stormy for the Tennessee Valley. We will have more updates as we get closer to the weekend. Stay with the Weather Authority!
