Celine Dion Makes Rare Public Appearance Amid Battle With Stiff Person Syndrome
Celine Dion stepped out for a rare, joyful appearance at a Coldplay concert over the weekend.
'What an unforgettable evening with @Coldplay at @AllegiantStadium,' the singer wrote in a post on Instagram, shared over the weekend. 'My heart is still singing!'
'A heartfelt thanks to the band and their amazing team for welcoming my family with warmth and kindness,' Dion wrote, adding 'It was all … fantastique.'
Dion shared photos of herself hugging members of Coldplay and standing among cheering fans in the stadium.
Outings for Dion are more rare these days, as the 57-year-old publicly revealed in 2022 that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome.
'I've been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it's been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I've been going through,' Dion said in an emotional video, in which she first opened up about her health struggle.
'Recently, I've been diagnosed with a very rare neurological condition called stiff person syndrome, which affects something like one in a million people,' she said at the time, adding that the rare condition was the root of the spasms she'd been experiencing for some time.
'Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life,' she shared, explaining that they are 'sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I'm used to.'
Stiff person syndrome, also referred to as SPS, mostly affects women in their 40s and 50s, according to the Mayo Clinic.
People living with stiff person syndrome can not only experience painful spasms, but also severe muscle stiffness, difficulty walking and frequent falls. There is currently no cure.

Dakota Johnson Shocks 'Today' Show by Dropping Curse Word to Reveal Dating 'Non-Negotiable' After Chris Martin Split
After her split from Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson opened up about her "non-negotiable" when it comes to dating Multiple sources confirmed earlier this month that Johnson and Martin ended their engagement and their eight-year relationship Johnson plays a matchmaker in her new romance film, Materialists, out June 13Dakota Johnson knows what she's looking for in a romantic partner. The 35-year-old actress, who recently split from fiancé Chris Martin, is starring in the new romance Materialists alongside Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. In the film, she plays a matchmaker, who gets caught in her own love triangle. On Monday, June 9, Johnson and Evans appeared on the Today show where co-anchor Craig Melvin asked them, 'If either of you were to engage with a real-life matchmaker, what would be the one non-negotiable for you?' While Evans, who is married to wife Alba Baptista, replied, 'Must love dogs. Gotta love dogs. If you're not a dog person, what are we doing?' Johnson had an arguably more blunt response. 'Like, not an a--h---?' she said as Melvin gasped slightly. 'That's concise,' Evans teased his costar. 'There it is. Nail on the head.' Melvin joked that NBC would have to 'clean that up for the West Code feed,' as Savannah Guthrie later noted it was proof the show didn't have a seven-second delay. Johnson laughed off the moment, not commenting on it further. Her candid thoughts come days after multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Johnson and Martin had ended their eight-year relationship. "It feels final this time," a source said of the split. The couple were first romantically linked in 2017, and in 2024 an insider told PEOPLE that Johnson and Martin had actually been engaged for 'years.' While the pair have split, things between the two seem to be cordial. The Coldplay singer promoted Johnson's new film during his June 6 concert in Las Vegas. 'Thank you, everybody! Be kind to each other!' Martin said into the mic, before adding, 'Don't forget to go see Materialists!' Additionally, Martin's ex Gwyneth Paltrow intends to keep up her 'close friendship' with Johnson. The Goop founder 'fully intends on maintaining that bond,' despite Johnson's split from the Coldplay singer, a source tells PEOPLE. Read the original article on People

Chris Martin Gives Dakota Johnson a Sweet Shoutout Amid Breakup Reports
In case you were curious, there's still love between Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin. Though the pair has allegedly split after eight years together, the Coldplay frontman showed his support for his ex-fianceé's new A24 flick, Materialists, in which she stars alongside Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. As he closed a recent concert on his band's Music of the Spheres World Tour in Las Vegas, he took a moment to give Dakota a subtle shoutout. 'Thank you so much, everybody. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to each other. Don't forget to see Materialists. We love you,' he said per a video obtained by DeuxMoi. While the submitter of the clip claimed that Chris and Dakota are still going strong, the sweet gesture comes amid reports that the couple had split, with a source telling People that it 'felt final this time.' A separate source told the Daily Mail that the pair tried to make their connection work multiple times, saying, 'Their relationship has been over for a long time, they just haven't been able to figure out to make it official. Dakota held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.' The insider gave more insight into the reported split, adding, 'Breakups aren't instant and they continued to breakup and makeup and sometimes things would work when they were away from each other, while they were working because absence makes the heart grow fonder, but then they'd get back together and little things just kept adding up to where they weren't right for each other anymore. Dakota is devastated that she isn't going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them.'
