'Higher Power' is coming to a higher altitude.
On Tuesday, June 10, Coldplay will headline at Denver, CO's Empower Field at Mile High as part of their ongoing 'Music of the Spheres World Tour.'
Willow and Elyanna will serve as the opening acts at the one-off concert.
This gig at the Broncos' stadium comes after a pair of huge shows at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium. Based on our findings at Set List FM, the stadium rockers delivered 20+ songs over four acts both nights.
And, yes, iconic tunes like 'The Scientist,' 'Viva La Vida,' 'Higher Power,' 'Clocks,' 'Fix You' all worked their way into the show.
'Musically, Coldplay is at the core a groovy little band tightened over a nearly 30-year career,' the Las Vegas Review-Journal wrote about the first of two shows. 'This quartet knows how to play big. 'Higher Power' opened the show in full overdrive. Pyro powered 'Adventure of a Lifetime' and 'Paradise.' The crowd bounced through 'God Put a Smile Upon Your Face' and 'Yellow.''

Noel Gallagher says brother Liam is ‘smashing it'

Noel Gallagher has dished out rare praise for his brother Liam, saying he is 'smashing it' on Oasis' reunion tour. The siblings have had a famously acrimonious relationship since their band dramatically split in 2009. But now, in an interview with UK radio station TalkSport on Tuesday, the Oasis songwriter and lead guitarist expressed his admiration for his younger brother. 'Liam's smashing it,' Gallagher said of his brother's performances as lead singer during the reunion tour so far. 'I'm proud of him.' The brothers have publicly traded barbs in the 16 years since Oasis' breakup, with their spat regularly making headlines around the world. In an interview with The Guardian in 2019, Noel accused his brother of making 'unsophisticated music' and said 'I can't stand his voice.' Those comments came two years after Liam said of him in the same newspaper: 'When I think about it, being in a band with him bores the death out of me.' So it was big news when the band announced last year that they were getting back together. They kicked off a 19-date tour of the UK and Ireland in Cardiff, Wales on July 4. They are due to play their first North American date in Toronto on Sunday, before heading to other cities in North and South America, Asia and Australia, with a finale in São Paulo on November 23. The Gallagher brothers were pictured hand in hand at the end of their opening night in the Welsh capital last month. Just how emotional was that moment?, the TalkSport interviewer asked Gallagher. 'We're not those kind of guys really,' said the singer-songwriter, who set up his own band, 'High Flying Birds,' following Oasis' split. Nevertheless, he went on to tell the hosts that he was pleased to be back on stage with his original band, which started in Manchester in 1991. They went on to become one of the biggest groups of the 1990s, hitting the number one spot in the UK with eight of their albums. 'It's great just to be back with Bonehead and Liam and you know, just be doing it again. I guess when it's all said and done we'll sit and reflect on it but it's great being back in the band with Liam — I forgot how funny he was,' he said. And that was not the only compliment he paid his little brother. 'I've been fronting a band for 16 years, I know how difficult that is,' he said. 'I couldn't do the stadium thing like he does it. It's not in my nature but I've got to say, man, I look around and I think good for you, mate. He's been amazing.'

Chris Martin addresses couple from Coldplay concert jumbotron scandal

Chris Martin is setting the record straight on the "internationally massive scandal" that emerged from that Coldplay concert jumbotron "debacle" that took the internet by storm. During the jumbotron portion of the Music of the Spheres tour concert in Kingston upon Hull's Craven Park in England on Aug. 19, the frontman pushed back against the "kiss cam" headlines about a tech CEO who resigned from his role after appearing to have an affair with a colleague. "I'm going to say this once and once only. It's not, never will be, and never was a kiss cam. … We put one couple and you're branded a kiss cam for the rest of your life. It's unbelievable," Martin said, according to fans' videos from the show. "This is called a jumbotron, and we've done this for a long, long time," the singer continued. "We pick people out to say hello. And sometimes they turn up to become an internationally massive scandal, sure. But most of the time we're just trying to say hello to some ... people, that's all!" As Martin wrapped his public service announcement, he shared a sweet message to the people who were caught canoodling on July 16. "Anyway, we send pure love to those people, and I wish them so well," he told the crowd. Chris Martin calls CEO controversy a 'debacle' This wasn't the only time Martin brought up the incident since the band's return to the U.K. on tour. When introducing the jumbotron portion of the concert in which "we'll try to say hello to some of you on camera," the crowd erupted in knowing laughter as Martin chuckled, according to another video. "You were at that Boston gig! OK, well, thank you for coming again after that debacle," Martin said in reaction to a fan's sign, according to videos and reports from the band's first night in Craven Park on Aug. 18. "We've been doing this a long time, and it's only recently that it became a … Yeah. So," Martin added. "Life throws you lemons and you've got to make lemonade." Coldplay wrapped its North American leg of the long-running tour in Miami Gardens on July 27 and took a three-week break before launching into its final leg in the U.K. What happened with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron? Martin's comments come a month after he offered commentary during the band's July 16 show at Gillette Stadium that turned uncomfortable after a camera operator broadcast a couple embracing, only for the two to conceal themselves. The woman hid her face as the man ducked down. "Come on, you're OK!" Martin told the couple before quipping, "Uh oh. Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." Following the viral scandal that prompted internet sleuths to identify those seen in the footage, New York tech company Astronomer said it had placed CEO Andy Byron on leave on July 18. The next day, on July 19, the company posted on X and LinkedIn that Byron "has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted." "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding," Astronomer's statement reads. "Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met." After widespread criticism for how the company reacted to the controversy, Astronomer released a tongue-in-cheek video with "temporary spokesperson" Gwyneth Paltrow, Martin's ex-wife, in an effort to rehabilitate its image. Astronomer Enlists Gwyneth Paltrow as ‘Temporary Spokesperson' Amid Coldplay Viral Scandal

While Astronomer lost their CEO and HR exec amid the Coldplay concert viral scandal, their marketing team has picked up the slack with a clever new ad that enlists Gwyneth Paltrow, the ex-wife of Chris Martin. Hours after the tech company's chief human resources officer Kristin Cabot resigned, Astronomer's socials posted the ad starring Paltrow as a 'temporary spokesperson' to let the public know what exactly the now-popular company does. More from Rolling Stone Astronomer HR Exec in Viral Coldplay Concert Video Resigns Watch Coldplay Honor Ozzy Osbourne With Cover of Black Sabbath's 'Changes' Liam Gallagher Declares Oasis Concerts Safe for Cheaters: 'We Don't Have That Coldplay Camera' 'Thank you for your interest in Astronomer,' the actress says. 'I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer. Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones.' The questions include 'OMG. What the f-' and 'How is your social media team hold-,' with Paltrow sidestepping the scandal and instead offering answering about the company itself. 'We are thrilled so many people have an interest in data workflow automation,' Paltrow adds. 'We will now be returning to what we do best: Delivering game-changing results for our customers. Thank you for your interest in Astronomer.' Andy Byron, the now-former CEO of Astronomer, resigned last week after he and Cabot were put on leave following the viral moment during Coldplay's Boston-area concert. In the widely seen and frequently-meme'd moment caught on jumbotron, Byron and Cabot looked to be caught off-guard when their embrace was seen by more than 50,000 people at Gillette Stadium. Their immediate reaction was to duck and turn away from the camera and leaving the frame, which likely led to the speculation and suspicions over their non-professional-appearing relationship. Coldplay's shows feature 'The Jumbotron Song,' where Chris Martin riffs about whomever is captured on the camera. In a clip filmed during the incident, Martin — who was married to Paltrow for 13 years before their 'conscious uncoupling' — joked from the stage, 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.'
