Super Bowl-winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers has joined his third team in his over two decades of football greatness.

While the four-time MVP has some work to do to drain out the many sorrows that plagued his time with the New York Jets over the last two seasons, Rodgers will forever be remembered as one of the greatest talents and most accomplished players of his generation.
Most of that storied lore comes from his time with the Green Bay Packers, having been the team for his first 18 seasons.
Now that Rodgers has officially joined the Pittsburgh Steelers, there is one game on the upcoming calendar that the star QB likely has circled in red:
Week 8, when the Packers come to town.
"A-Rod" has beaten all 31 other teams at least once as an opposition - Green Bay being the only exception.

Only four players have ever beaten all 32 NFL teams at least once throughout their career: Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre and Drew Brees.
Rodgers could be next, but regardless of the outcome of the game, it is sure to be an emotional one. It will mark the first time Rodgers has ever played against the franchise that he became a star with.
"There's a lot of love for me and how I feel about the team," Rodgers said about the Packers in a podcast appearance.
He was asked about the possibility, whenever the 41 year old decides to call it a career, if he would ever sign a one-day contract to officially retire as a Packer. While his response was very Rodgers-esque in it's dry nature, it appears the future Hall of Famer still has some appreciation for the organization.

'If I do or don't retire as a Packer, I don't think it should make a difference. I'm not sure yet. If they approached me about it, I probably would."
During his 15 years as the Packers' starting quarterback after taking over for Favre in 2008, Rodgers won four regular season MVPs, Super Bowl XLV MVP, earned four First-Team All-Pro honors, and was selected to ten Pro Bowls.
The Steelers' Week 8 matchup with the Packers will take place in Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Oct. 26 and be broadcasted live on Sunday Night Football.

But one glance at the leaderboard and a scan of the houses lining TPC Wisconsin and it's clear that this is definitely not University Ridge, the tournament's previous home. The AmFam switched to the course that Stricker co-designed and also went to a team format, with 38 duos playing best ball in the first round. That's a first for golf's senior circuit. 'Certainly for me knowing Thomas' game so well made it so much easier for me to go out there and free it up today,' Clarke said. 'I really enjoy playing with him because I know he's there if I mess up, and likewise, I try to be there for him.' Steve Stricker is happy with course ... but not with his shots Stricker thought the course played well in its professional debut. 'We thought the scoring would be pretty good,' Stricker said. 'Weather, we knew it was going to be good today and it's going to be good tomorrow. 'The course is in great condition. But you have to play well going around here. You have to hit it in the fairway, and if you don't have two guys hitting it in the fairway, you put a lot of pressure on the other guys. That's what I'm sure some teams did. If you can get two balls in the fairway, you can actually get pretty aggressive and have a lot of opportunities for birdies.' There is added emotion with being a teammate. 'I was telling (wife and caddie) Nicki, that could have been a 10-under round pretty easily, really,' Stricker said. 'I left (Tiziani) hanging on these par 5s. 'On 7 I hit it in the hazard, 11 I didn't get it up over the top of the hill. Uncharacteristic of some of the things that I do, too. Kind of left him hanging on those holes where he's in perfect position. If you have another guy in there, kind of frees him up to hit a better chip or whatever the case may be. Yeah, not happy with how I left him hanging on some of those par 5s where we should have been making birdies.' Stricker also not feeling his best Stricker has battled numerous health problems over the past few years. Most serious was a mysterious illness in 2022 that sidelined the 58-year-old Edgerton native for several months in 2022, not long after captaining the U.S. team to a Ryder Cup victory at Whistling Straits. Lately, pain in his back, neck and shoulder has been nagging him, keeping him from a chunk of the Champions Tour schedule. 'Yeah, I'm frustrated,' Stricker said. 'I'm frustrated how I feel, to be quite honest because I don't feel like I'm capable of doing what I want to do. 'I actually hit a really couple, two good shots in a row at 13 and then again at 14, and then it was gone again. It's not … I don't know, I don't know what it is. Struggling to get through the ball in general, so that's frustrating.' Jerry Kelly talks about scramble format for second round Kelly was paired with Justin Leonard and ended up at 6-under. 'It was all right through the first 10,' said Kelly, a Madison native who won back-to-back AmFam titles in 2019 and 2021. 'We got through 5 and 9 ham-and-egging it. 'And then Justin made another one on 10 and, here we go, we've got a par 5 coming up. He hits one left, I top a 3-wood and basically … we didn't really have our best games from there on.' The unique format changes in the second round with a switch to a scramble. 'Tomorrow will be fun,' Leonard said. 'Just our games are very similar. 'Jerry's so consistent. I wasn't very consistent today. I found a little something late in the day and … look, we love playing golf, we love competing, we love playing together. 'To be able to do it in Jerry's hometown with the crowds tomorrow will be a lot of fun. And we'll make a few more birdies tomorrow and hopefully hear the crowds a little bit more than we did today.'

The Pittsburgh Steelers waited until the sixth round to select a quarterback in April's NFL Draft. But, after drafting former Ohio State quarterback Will Howard, the Steelers quarterback room still featured more questions than answers. This week, Pittsburgh appears to have found a short-term solution to its signal caller concerns. The four-time NFL MVP agreed to a one-year contract, the Steelers confirmed. The 41-year-old quarterback is expected to attend the team's mandatory minicamp next week. While the signing was met with both praise and criticism, Skip Bayless made his feelings about the Steelers decision clear. In a video posted to his social media platform, Bayless characterized Rodgers as a "diva" and suggested the veteran quarterback did not have much left in the tank. "He was washed his last three years in Green Bay," Bayless said. "Go look at the numbers of his last three playoff games in Green Bay … I told the Jets he was washed." Bayless then offered a pun, claiming Rodgers would "steal from the Steelers." A bewildered Bayless then questioned the state of the storied franchise. "What has become of the Pittsburgh Steelers?" he continued. "I don't hate them anymore, I pity them." The Steelers finished last season with a 10-7 record. Longtime head coach Mike Tomlin has never finished a regular season with a losing record. The Baltimore Ravens in the wild-card round loss to the Baltimore Ravens in January. Justin Fields started the first five games of the Steelers' 2024 campaign, before Russell Wilson took over. January 2022 marked Rodgers' last postseason appearance. The Packers suffered a 13-10 loss in the divisional round in that game. After suffering a season-ending injury in the first game of the 2023 season, Rodgers appeared in all 17 games in 2024. He finished the year with 3,897 passing yards and 28 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. After spending the 2024 season with the Tennessee Titans, the Steelers brought back Mason Rudolph. Skylar Thompson was also on the roster, but neither quarterback was viewed as the primary starter entering 2025. He believes that Sanders should be focused on soaking up every bit of wisdom and advice that Flacco can offer. "I'm not really a professional football player, and I'm not a quarterback, and I'm not in a quarterback room with Joe Flacco," he said. "But if you are in a quarterback room with Joe Flacco who has been to the Super Bowl, won the Super Bowl, has done incredible things in the NFL, I would just put my head down and learn and listen, because he has a great coach and Kevin Stefanski and I think just be the player that he was in Colorado." The Miz continued on, revealing more about his thoughts on Sanders and what kind of potential the former Colorado Buffaloes' standout quarterback possesses. "I wouldn't want him to change. Like, I always feel like ... the best person is a person that can't help being themselves, right? That's the best, in my opinion, and I think he can't help being himself, and think he's a born leader. And I think, in the end ... I know it's gonna be a little circus here and there, but if he can play to the caliber that I feel like he could be, he could be a franchise quarterback." There is no denying the talent and potential, but now Sanders needs to put in the work. He needs to put together the on-field production to earn playing time. No one knows what to expect from him in the future, but the early signs have shown that he is willing to work hard and that he wants to be a sponge and learn as much as possible.
