"Da Dada (what my kids call me) is fine, taking an opportunity while in Rome to do the update of my 30-year-old AFib procedure with its inventor, a great Italian doctor – Dr. Andrea Natale!"
Reports suggested that the renowned director was admitted to hospital for a possible heart procedure tied to a mild cardiac arrhythmia.
This would line up with Coppola's mention of updating his long-standing AFib treatment.
But this speculation has not been officially confirmed.

Francis Ford Coppola in his younger years
Born in Detroit, Michigan, to a father who was a flautist in the local orchestra, he is a second generation Italian immigrant.
He spent most of his childhood in Queens, New York.
His first success was with the 1968 film Finian's Rainbow, starring Petula Clark and Fred Astaire.

But his breakthrough was with The Godfather in 1972, starring Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan and Robert Duvall.
The film won three Oscars - including Best Picture - and was a box-office phenomenon, grossing $291million worldwide making it the highest grossing movie ever made at that point.
Further cementing his legacy, Coppola followed that triumph up with a 1974 sequel The Godfather Part II which, despite only grossing $98m, was lauded by movie critics.
With some experts even calling the four-hour opus superior to the original, it won an astonishing six Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director.

Coppola's other monumental achievement is Vietnam war epic Apocalypse Now which cost a huge $31.5m to make in 1979.
By comparison, Star Wars was made for just $11m two years earlier.
Starring Brando and Martin Sheen, the film was thankfully a financial success grossing $150m worldwide. It was awarded the prestigious Palme d'Or at the '79 Cannes Film Festival.

‘I could have changed the course of US history had I accepted Donald Trump's offer of a dinner date,' says actor Emma Thompson

The 66-year-old Love Actually actor recalled that the incident occurred while she was filming the 1998 political comedy Primary Colors, which was loosely based on Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. Speaking at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, she said: 'A phone rang in my trailer, and it was Donald Trump. 'I thought it was a joke, 'Hi, it's Donald Trump here.' I said, 'How can I help you?' I thought he needed directions. He said, 'I would love for you to stay in one of my beautiful places, and maybe we could have dinner.'' Thompson at that point had been going through a lengthy divorce from her first husband, Belfast actor Kenneth Branagh. 'I realised that on that very day my divorce has finally come through,' she added. 'I bet he has people looking all over for suitable people he could take out, for all these nice divorcees – I mean, he found the number of my trailer. That's stalking. So yes, I could have gone on a date with Donald Trump. I could have changed the course of American history.' She previously shared the anecdote in 2017, telling Swedish TV host Fredrik Skavlan: 'I didn't know what to do with myself. I was on my own and I just said, 'OK, well, I'll get back to you. Thank you so much for ringing.'' Skavlan joked: 'You could be the First Lady. You could have stopped him,' Thompson said at the time that she had still not met Trump in person. The Nanny McPhee star has been married to actor Greg Wise since 2003. They first met while they were filming Sense and Sensibility in 1995.

From Zendaya to JoJo Siwa & Olivia Rodrigo… why American girls simply can't resist a British boy

Find out which seven British men have proved irresistible to US celebs FORGET Labubu dolls or Dubai chocolate, there is one must-have item on every American starlet's wishlist this summer – a hot British boyfriend. Just ask the famous faces who have been descending on our shores and picking up a home-grown lad as a souvenir. 8 Heiress Nicola Peltz only has eyes for Brit nepo baby Brooklyn Beckham Credit: Instagram Whether it's the accent or not, Englishmen are certainly having a moment. Globally, Google searches for 'British men' went up 21 per cent over the past year. And according to dating site 65 per cent of its 108,000 members are American women. Meanwhile, US director Lena Dunham's new semi-autobiographical Netflix drama, Too Much, tells the story of a New York woman who moves to London following a break-up and falls for an English musician. READ MORE ON CELEBRITY DATING ROCK IN THE PARK Zendaya flashes £200k engagement ring on London dog walk with Tom Actress Lena married British composer Luis Felber in 2021 after also moving across the pond. Just a few of the stars following in her footsteps and bagging a Brit hunk are singer Olivia Rodrigo, actress Zendaya, and billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz, who earlier this month renewed her wedding vows with Brooklyn Beckham. More recently, Love Island UK's first transatlantic winner Toni Laites admitted that she sees 'no reason to be in America any more' after falling for East London lad Cach Mercer on the ITV show. Here are seven of the British men who have proved irresistible to US celebs. Tom Holland opens up about 'one day becoming a dad' as GMA shares sweet photo of star with girlfriend Zendaya Louis Partridge and Olivia Rodrigo 8 US singer Olivia Rodrigo has fallen for Brit actor Louis Partridge Credit: Getty TAKING to the stage at Glastonbury in June, Drivers License singer Olivia made her allegiances known. 'I love England so much,' the Californian told the 120,000-strong crowd. 'I love how nobody judges you for having a pint at noon. I love English sweets… and, as luck would have it, I love English boys.' Specifically, she loves one English boy – actor Louis Partridge. The pair, both 22, first sparked romance rumours in October 2023, when they were pictured with their arms around the other's waist in London. They then made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Venice Film Festival in August 2024, where Louis was promoting his TV series, Disclaimer. The pair have more recently been spotted together at Wimbledon. They have mostly remained coy about their relationship, with Londoner Louis telling British Vogue last year: 'Dating probably shouldn't be done in the public eye… I think she's got tons and tons of eyes on her case.' So Olivia's very public tribute to the Enola Holmes star on stage at the Worthy Farm festival is testament to their strong feelings. Tom Holland and Zendaya 8 Zendaya has moved from California to London to be with Brit Tom Holland Credit: Getty ONE of our most famous transatlantic couples, Tom and Zendaya got engaged earlier this year, with the British actor proposing with a £200,000 ring. Since meeting Tom, 29, on the set of Spider-Man in 2016, Zendaya, 28, has proved herself to be a true anglophile. She has moved from California to Richmond, South West London, where the pair reside in a £3million mansion close to where he grew up. Residents are said to leave them alone and they are frequently spotted walking around Richmond Park. Last year Zendaya, 28, confirmed she is Tom's biggest fan, paying tribute to her man while promoting her own movie, Dune 2. 'I think someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the Dune cast, but personally works for me, is Mr Tom Holland,' she said, adding that 'he's great at just talking to people, getting to know people.' And last week Zendaya was spotted supporting Tom while he filmed scenes for their upcoming Spider-Man flick in Surrey. Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel 8 Londoner Matty Healy is engaged to Californian Gabbriette HE did not receive a glowing review from his American ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, who slammed him in songs The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived and I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can). But Londoner Matty's charms have fared better on Californian Gabbriette, 28. The 1975 frontman, 36, started dating the model in 2023 and they got engaged last year. But Gabbriette has revealed they are in no rush to wed. 'It might take a while because I'm bad at planning stuff,' she said last month. 'But the wedding bells are somewhere up there.' Meanwhile, the model has another fan in Matty's famous mum, Denise Welch. The Loose Women star recently appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live! and took the opportunity to pay tribute to her future daughter-in-law, while also taking a subtle swipe at Taylor. 'Matty has taken it all in completely good grace,' she said. 'He's very happy with his amazing fiancée Gabbriette – who is gorgeous – so we've moved on.' Leo Woodall and Meghann Fahy 8 Meghann and Leo have a 'great deal in common' despite their hometowns being worlds away Credit: Getty AS co-stars on season two of The White Lotus in 2022, Meghann and Leo had their fair share of on-screen romance with other people. But it was not long until they only had eyes for each other – and after the private pair were spotted kissing in New York in 2023, they finally hard launched their relationship on social media in early 2024. Though her hometown of Massachusetts is worlds away from Leo's West London roots, Meghann, 35, has said they have a great deal in common – not least their high-profile careers. She revealed earlier this year: 'I think that it's just really great to be deeply understood… There's so many weird things about this industry and what we do, so I think there's just something really lovely about being with somebody who really gets that.' As for Leo, 28, he has called their relationship his 'safe space,' which leaves little confusion as to why, like Bridget Jones in the series' latest film, Meghann is Mad About The Boy. Harry Charles and Eve Jobs 8 Eve Jobs looked across the Atlantic to find her happy-ever-after with Team GB champion Harry Charles Credit: Instagram SHE is the American heiress who could have her pick of any fella in her home country. But Eve Jobs – the daughter of late Apple founder Steve – looked across the Atlantic to find her happy-ever-after with Team GB champion Harry Charles, 26. As an accomplished equestrian – once ranked the world's fifth best rider under-25 – it is no wonder Eve, 27, has fallen for the Olympic-gold showjumper, from Hampshire. The pair reportedly met due to their shared love of horses and started dating in 2022. They got engaged two years later, around the same time the former Tatler It Girl and model was cheering Harry on at the 2024 Paris Games. The couple wed last month in a lavish £5million wedding in the Cotswolds, with a celebrity guest list including former US Vice President Kamala Harris. Last week Eve shared their first official wedding portrait, telling her social media followers it had been 'the most magical week'. George Rollinson and Ashley Roberts 8 Ashley has been loved up with Brit artist and tattooist George since 2023 Credit: GC Images RADIO host Ashley made the UK her home many years ago, but she didn't initially commit to the British-boy assignment – famously dating Italian stallion Giovanni Pernice in 2018. The former Pussycat Doll, 43, has since discovered the local fare and has been loved up with artist and tattooist George, 25, since 2023. The pair went public in early 2024 and have posted snaps from holidays to Dubai and Italy, as well as their visit across the pond to see Ashley's family in Phoenix, Arizona. Ashley said last year: 'American men are overwhelming, they are too much. I'm like, you need to calm down.' And she is not the only Pussycat Doll singer to fall for a British man. Hawaiian Nicole Scherzinger, 47, is engaged to 40-year-old Scottish former rugby player Thom Evans. And Missouri-born Kimberly Wyatt has been married to singer Max Rogers, both 43, since 2014. Nathan Louis-Fernand and Rachel Zegler 8 Snow White actress Rachel is dating Londoner Nathan SHE is currently taking the West End by storm as the leading lady in musical Evita. But off-stage, Rachel is making sweet, sweet music with co-star and back-up dancer Nathan. The 24-year-old has temporarily relocated to London for the show – and it seems the New Jersey-born star is enjoying the local delights. The Snow White actress was pictured kissing Londoner Nathan, 27, last month at Sabrina Carpenter's headline gig at the BST Hyde Park Music Festival on July 6. In the weeks since, Rachel has posted snaps of Louis on her Instagram, including a blurry photo of them embracing one another and another of him kissing her cheek. The pair were also seen walking Rachel's dog in London's Primrose Hill two weeks ago, with Louis wrapping his arm around the actress.

Irish Love Island star on how hunk let her down but leaves the door open to reignite romance

Love Island star Andrada says she won't rule out a reunion with Casa cheater Casa Amor bombshell Andrada returned to the villa last Sunday for a final challenge, having previously been dumped from the island alongside Ben. The duo were back on TV to send one couple home — and ultimately decided on Meg and Dejon. When they left the villa, Andrada had intended for Ben to meet her family in Dublin but was furious when his head was turned and he ended up kissing another girl at a party. Pop star Andrea wowed fans 'I was disappointed to say the least, because obviously I thought we had something good. It wasn't really nice to see that happen at the first event that we went to,' Andrada (28) tells the Sunday World . 'We did have a chat, he did apologise. So I'm not holding anything over his head, we're on good terms now, but possibly going our separate ways going forward.' Pop star Andrea wowed fans News in 90 seconds - 10th August 2025 However, the former personal trainer-turned influencer is not ruling out giving Ben a second chance and says the fact that he lives in England and she currently resides in Dublin, distance would not rule out any possible future relationship. 'I'll never say never,' she smiles. 'It wouldn't have to be far distances — if someone is meant to be, they'll be,' she insists. She also admits she and Dejon had their moments. Adrada had a connection with Dejon 'Me and Dejon obviously had that connection,' she confirms. 'But he's very happy with Meg now. I'm very happy for them. 'Obviously you guys seen the brutal jump in and stuff like that, which obviously everyone had to kind of vote. I had my history with them so I could only base my decision on the history that I had. 'I don't really know Ty and Angel. Everyone is all good. At the end of the day, Dejon and Angel are very nice people individually. I feel like things can come across very harsh on TV.' Andrada says she was happy Toni and Cach won the show, although confesses she had several favourites. 'At the end of the day, the three finalists ... I was very happy with any of them to win, as I felt like they all deserved to be up there,' she says. Toni is the first American to win the show. 'I feel like it's very cool, it just shows that people really liked her because the US couldn't vote, so she definitely has a big fan base now in the UK, which is nice to see the support,' she says. 'I love them two together. I feel Cach brings a very nice soft side out of Toni and vice versa. I feel they've very good communication skills and you can really see it on TV.' The Dublin beauty also says she hopes Irish lovebirds Conor and Meghan have a good future together. Andrada Pop 'I haven't really seen them myself in the villa so I can't really speak on behalf of them – but I have been around them at the final and they seem very happy and they feel very well suited for each other, so I am hoping that it works out. 'I do feel like they get along, I wouldn't say it's because of the Irish thing, but maybe. I was in there and I'm from Ireland and I wasn't drawn to Conor just because he was Irish. 'I feel like me and Conor are actually very good friends in that sense. I wouldn't say necessarily because they're both Irish, I just feel like they're very well suited as people individually.' She also backs up Harry, despite him getting criticism over his perceived lack of loyalty and bedhopping ways. 'I do like Harry and I feel like, at the end of the day, it's a TV show that people don't get to see what we are like. There's 24 hours in a day. I feel like Harry is definitely a nice guy and I don't feel that's shown as much,' she argues. 'Obviously it's a hard environment that we're in there and you have to go with your heart sometimes, and you're going to upset certain people, but he followed his heart and he went for who he wanted.' After her drama with Ben, Andrada is now happy to confirm her current status. 'I am single. We all like tall dark and handsome, this is the usual type — but I do like somebody that kind of has more deep, deep conversation, not just surface looks,' she explains. 'I'm 28, I want to find my forever, I don't really want to waste any time. I do want somebody that I can be best friends with and laugh and enjoy life together. Men of colour, white guys... I don't really mind. I don't have a set type.' Andrada's parents are originally from Romania but she herself grew up in Balbriggan in north County Dublin, has an older sister and younger brother and now lives in Blanchardstown in west Dublin. She won Miss Bikini Ireland in 2019 and earlier this year finished in the top five of Miss Swimsuit UK. 'I actually applied for Love Island three years ago. I got through to the audition and then I didn't hear anything after that. I believe it was timing,' she beams. Today she will fly out to Romania, where her parents have built a house which they use during the summer. 'They've worked all their lives to build a nice family home, so I go there on holidays and enjoy the house that they've built whenever I can. I haven't gone there now in a couple of years,' she says.
