Those close to the band said Liam and Noel spent hours before the gigs on Saturday and Sunday nights working out how to help those fans on Gallagher Hill.
Our source explained: 'One plan included putting a jumbo screen on a truck and putting it out for fans on Gallagher Hill but they came up against health and safety bores — so that was vetoed.
'Instead they had one of their videographers go up to Gallagher Hill for the last show, which was then beamed back into Heaton Park so fans inside the show could see them.

On Saturday he said: 'If you lot are listening on the hill . . . bring it on down.' And on Sunday night, Liam called out: 'I want you fans on the hill to be getting involved as well. Even if you're

WWE star shows off Bohemians Oasis jersey in front of millions of people

WWE star Sami Zayn was the latest high-profile figure to wear a Bohemians jersey and showed it off in front of millions. The popular wrestler returned to action on Monday and did so with a splash as he wore the Oasis-inspired Bohemians jersey. And with Netflix now broadcasting Monday Night Raw, the jersey would have been seen by millions. Although Zayn could well be a surprise long-time Bohemians fan, it is more likely that he was gifted the jersey by Gypsies die-hard and fellow WWE Superstar Sheamus. The Finglas native is a long-time fan of the Phibsborough outfit and has been on hand to lend his support to the club on different occasions. For Bohemians, it represents great publicity for the club and its limited edition strip. The fan-owned club teamed up with Oasis ahead of the reunion tour, with half of the profits raised from the Oasis shirt going to charity, with a split between Music Generation Ireland and Irish Community Care Manchester, while the other half goes to the club itself. The League of Ireland club has made waves internationally with its kit choices. Previously, it had jerseys with Thin Lizzy, Bob Marley, and Fontaines DC branding. It has also teamed up with Guinness in the past and had a Dublin Bus-themed jersey. Oasis comes to Ireland next month, and their reunion tour is currently in full swing. The Gallagher brothers have played two sold-out shows in Cardiff and five shows in Manchester's Heaton Park. Focus now turns to London, where they will perform five sold-out Wembley Stadium Shows before heading north to Murrayfield, where they will perform three times before heading over to Dublin. After that, things go further afield with shows all across North America and then east towards South Korea, Japan, and Australia. As for Zayn, his colleagues will be in Ireland next month for a live recording of WWE SmackDown.

Vogue Williams ‘ignored' by Oasis legend amid ‘celebrity spat'

Vogue Williams was 'ignored' by Oasis legend Noel Gallagher when the pair encountered each other at the Glastonbury Festival. It prompted her close friend Joanne McNally to joke the pair were involved in a 'celebrity spat'. On their My Therapist Ghosted Me! Podcast, Vogue revealed she had recently got husband Spencer Matthews a ticket to attend the Oasis reunion. It comes after the band embarked on a 41-show reunion tour, 16 years after splitting up. Vogue later discovered she knew someone working on the tour. She explained 'one of her best friends' would be within touching distance of Liam and Noel. Vogue said: 'I just want to touch them, I won't say anything, they don't like to be spoken to, I'm fine with that. I would just like to gently touch Liam's cheek and walk off.' When asked which Gallagher brother she would want to touch, Vogue replied: 'Liam, I don't give a f**k about Noel, he ignored me at Glastonbury.' Vogue admits she prefers Liam Gallagher to Noel (Image: Karwai Tang, WireImagevia Getty Images) Vogue's podcast co-host Joanna replied: 'I forgot you're fighting. I forgot you're in a celebrity spat.' Vogue went on to explain how she met Noel at Glastonbury at 'plucked up the courage' to speak to the singer. Only for Noel to walk straight past her without saying anything. Vogue met Noel at Glastonbury (Image: Jordan Pettitt/PA Wire) She explained: 'I'm going to feel uncomfortable going to the Oasis gig because obviously me and Noel have had a huge falling out when he ignored me at Glastonbury. I plucked up the courage to say hello to him, and there wasn't many people around, I just walked by him. 'It was just like, 'HI', and I mean he's Noel Gallagher so actually that was a compliment that he ignored me because if he was nice, it would have been weird and probably ruined the vibe, but now I don't know how we're going to be when he's on stage.' Liam Gallagher performs in Cardiff to kick off the Oasis comeback tours. (Image: Samir Hussein/WireImage) Joanne joked the moment 'reeks of sexual tension'. She elaborated: 'The more a man ignores you, the more he wants to ride you stupid.' Oasis kicked off their reunion tour in Cardiff last month before heading back to their hometown of Manchester for a series of concerts at Heaton Park. The band will then head to London before carrying onto the international leg of their tour. Liam and Noel have had an acrimonious relationship over the years but entered the stage hand-in-hand for their first performance. Speaking to fans in Cardiff, Liam said: 'Nice one for putting up with us over the years. We are hard work, I get it.' The Gallagher brothers shared a hug after they finished their first show back. According to the BBC, the concerts in Cardiff generated around £4m in income for the city across two days. It is thought around 810,000 extra pints were pulled during the two nights.

REM share incredible photo on anniversary of mammoth Slane gig - with familiar openers...

REM has shared an incredible aerial photo of their huge concert at Slane Castle, as the gig reaches its 30th anniversary. While Slane is known for having its concerts that draw in crowds of 80,000, everyone has that favourite one — and while Harry Styles, Eminem and Metallica have all headlined the Meath castle, one of the most iconic ones to ever take place were when REM came to town. The rock band headlined Slane in 1995 while on their first world tour in six years, but almost didn't make it to the iconic castle as lead singer Michael Stipe suffered a hernia and required emergency surgery, while drummer Bill Berry collapsed on stage in Switzerland after suffering a brain aneurysm. View this post on Instagram A post shared by R.E.M. (@rem) Despite the band needing to cancel gigs in France and Spain, the band were able to pull through and make it to Slane Castle, where they were joined by incredible openers including Sharon Shannon, Belly, and, fresh off their debut album, Oasis. Yes, there was a time when Oasis were the openers. The band's lawyer Bertis Downs shared an incredible aerial photo of just how big the Slane gig was, with him reminiscing on how the gig was actually touch and go ahead of the gig, and how Ireland became one of their favourite places to tour. 'Gazing at this photograph taken from above the grounds of Slane Castle and the epic R.E.M. concert, I have a few memories flashing across my mind,' he wrote. 'It was the first show after the brief stoppage of the tour in central Europe when Mike Mills came down with abdominal issues necessitating emergency surgery and cancelling a few shows through France and Spain. REM performed at Slane in 1995, in a gig that was one of the most memorable in the country. 'Mike was not at 100%, but it was safe medically for him to play–the band, including Mike, delivered an amazing performance in front of a crowd that had been watching R.E.M. in their country for 10 years but never in a venue as majestic as Slane Castle,' he continued. 'It's the kind of show that doesn't happen very often with logistical challenges galore but an incredible physical experience as the sun goes down over the magnificent landscape. 'It was one of many engagements that made R.E.M. consider Ireland a true home away from home time and again, year after year, and a quarter of a century ago today.' Opening for the band were a fresh faced Oasis who just released their debut album, Definitely Maybe. Pic: Independent NewsThe band first played in Ireland on their second tour in 1984, just playing a club show before heading to the RDS in 1989. They have also played huge gigs in Landsdowne Road in 1999, Marlay Park in 2003 and The Point in 2005. As for their openers, Oasis went on to be one of the biggest bands, well, ever; and after a tumultuous split in 2009 announced their reunion, and are currently on tour, with them playing five nights in their native Manchester last week. They're set to headline Wembley this weekend, and then Murrayfield in Edinburgh — before heading to Croke Park on August 16 and 17.
