IWC Pilot's Watch Automatic 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert
IWC Schaffhausen adds a bold new timepiece to its Colours of Top Gun collection with the Pilot's Watch Automatic 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert. Featuring a 41mm case crafted from sand-coloured ceramic, this model draws inspiration from US Navy flight suits and the desert terrain of the China Lake area in the Western Mojave Desert. The watch showcases a brown dial with beige-toned Super-LumiNova markers and a beige rubber strap with textile inlay, creating a distinctive, monochromatic military aesthetic.
Inside, the in-house Calibre 32112 offers 120 hours of power reserve. The movement's precision is matched by the ruggedness of its case, crafted through a meticulous sintering process using zirconium oxide and metallic oxides to achieve the unique Mojave Desert tone. Titanium is used for the engraved caseback and buckle, enhancing both durability and lightness.
This latest model is a compelling choice for fathers who value military heritage, cutting-edge materials, and understated luxury. A rugged yet refined gift for adventurous spirits.

Pope Leo exhorts crowd of million Catholic youth to spread their faith

Sign up now: Get ST's newsletters delivered to your inbox ROME - Pope Leo celebrated the largest event yet of his nearly three-month tenure on Sunday, encouraging a crowd of more than a million Catholic young people gathered in a field on the outskirts of Rome to spread their faith. Amid shouts of "Viva il Papa" (Long live the Pope) from young people dressed in colourful t-shirts and waving national flags at the Tor Vergata field, Leo led a Mass that capped a special week of events meant to energise Catholic youth. "Dear young people ... spread your enthusiasm and the witness of your faith to everyone you meet," the pope said during his sermon for the event, which also urged them not to focus on gaining material possessions but on helping those in need. "Buying, hoarding and consuming are not enough," said Leo. "We need ... to realise that everything in the world has meaning only insofar as it serves to unite us to God and to our brothers and sisters." Many of the youths attending the event spent the night outside in the field, to be ready for the pope's arrival at 7:45 a.m. (0545 GMT) in advance of heat expected to reach 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) later on Sunday. "It's amazing to see just how big the world church is, and how many people are here ... and (are) on fire to see the pope," said Rita Piendl, 19, who came from Germany. "We want to truly spread hope and love to the world and we really want to make a difference for the better." Top stories Swipe. Select. Stay informed. Foxconn will hold a press conference with TECO Electric on Wednesday

TAIPEI :Taiwan's Foxconn said it will hold a press conference with Taiwanese industry motor maker TECO Electric & Machinery at 3:30 p.m. (0730 GMT) on Wednesday. The press conference comes after the Apple and Nvidia supplier halted trading in its shares late on Tuesday, citing a plan to release material information. TECO also halted trading in its shares. Taiwan's TECO Electric & Machinery Co is Taiwan's top industrial motor maker and ranks among the world's top five suppliers of small low-voltage and medium- to high-voltage motors. The company also produces motors for electric vehicles. TECO entered the data center infrastructure market earlier this year with the acquisition of an 80 per cent stake in Malaysia's NCL Energy. In July, the company said it had secured major data center projects in the Malaysian states of Selangor and Johor Bahru. Foxconn has a big artificial intelligence server business and is actively expanding its electric vehicle business. It has also been seeking partnerships with automakers and the supply chain.
