Jharkhand: Elaborate arrangements made for Shibu Soren's 'Shraddh' in ancestral village

Multi-agency teams comprising police, administrative staffers, and volunteers will remain operational 24/7 to ensure effective crowd management, emergency response, and law and order," he said.
Arrangements are also being made for the ceremony in adherence to tribal customs.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been camping in the village since August 5.
He has directed senior officials to ensure seamless coordination for services such as transportation, sanitation, food distribution, healthcare, accommodation, and public safety.
"To facilitate smooth movement, more than 300 e-rickshaws will operate between the designated parking zones and the event site. Three large parking areas have been developed, each equipped with bio-toilets. Additionally, rest areas and dedicated pedestrian pathways have been constructed for ease of visitors," the official said.
Catering arrangements have been made at three large dining pandals, where traditional 'Shraddh' meals and prasad will be served.
A special exhibition and memorial gallery is also being set up to commemorate the life and legacy of Guruji, as Shibu Soren was popularly known.
The exhibition will feature rare photographs, historical documents, and key milestones from his political career, with a particular focus on his contributions to tribal welfare and public service.
The 'Shraddh' ceremony is expected to witness significant public participation.

1 2 Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday paid tributes to Jharkhand former chief minister Shibu Soren at the latter's ancestral village in Ranchi and said the Telangana govt will construct the Shibu Soren Bhavan in Hyderabad in memory of the JMM leader. Shibu Soren passed away in Delhi on Aug 4, after a prolonged illness. Union defence minister Rajnath Singh among others, in addition to CM Revanth, paid homage to the leader at his ancestral village. "In memory of Shibu Soren, we will construct the Shibu Soren Bhavan in Hyderabad with funds from the Telangana govt. Considering Birsa Munda as his ideal, Shibu Soren worked hard throughout his life for the people of Jharkhand. He formed the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party and fought for 26 years to form a separate state. Four crore people of Telangana gained confidence that they could also achieve a separate state. During the Telangana movement, he visited Telangana and provided assistance where the people needed it. All the Congress family will stand with his family," CM said. Lakhs gather at Nemra for Shibu Soren's Sanskar Bhoj; leaders across India pay tribute to Dishom Guru
RANCHI: Tributes poured in for 'Dishom Guru' Shibu Soren on his Sanskar Bhoj at his native place in Nemra on Saturday. From senior political figures and government officials to social representatives and local villagers, a vast gathering assembled to honour the memory of the revered leader, popularly known as 'Dishom Guru.' Dignitaries from all over the country participated in the Sanskar Bhoj. Apart from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Baba Ramdev, Pappu Yadav and several others visited Nemra. Governor Santosh Gangwar also offered floral tributes at Soren's portrait and joined the Sanskar Bhoj. He later met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and family members to express his condolences. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recalled that Shibu Soren's simplicity and personality had always impressed him. 'I had several meetings with Dishom Guru, Shibu Soren. His spontaneity, simplicity and personality always impressed me. Guruji was known not only as the guardian of tribals but also of other communities. I offer my humble tribute to him,' said Rajnath Singh after paying homage. Given the massive turnout, extensive arrangements were made for more than one lakh people visiting Nemra. Huge cutouts of late Shibu Soren were installed on both sides of the road. Around 4,000 street lights and over 200 generators were arranged to deal with any power failure. Five big pandals were raised at different places for the Sanskar Bhoj, each carrying Soren's picture where people paid their respects. More than 300 e-rickshaws operated between designated parking zones and the event venue. Resting areas and dedicated footpaths were set up for visitors' convenience.
