The 2025 TV schedule just got real interesting as CBS announced its primetime lineup for the '25-'26 season. After renewing nine shows at once, along with bringing a bunch of others back, CBS is also introducing some new projects, like Kayce's Yellowstone spinoff and singing competition produced by Taylor Sheridan and starring Blake Shelton. Plus, we're getting some exciting schedule changes, like a full night devoted to NCIS. So, let's break it all down.
So, let's start with the upcoming Yellowstone show. Luke Grimes will reprise his role as Kayce Dutton in Y: Marshals, which is a working title. The series will follow the youngest Dutton as he 'joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals.'
At the end of Yellowstone, we left Kayce kind of on the Dutton Ranch after he gave most of it back to the Broken Rock people. According to this new show's synopsis, that ranch is 'behind him,' and this new series will combine 'his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana.'
Y: Marshals will join the CBS primetime lineup in the spring of 2026 in the 9 p.m. slot on Sunday, and it will be another addition to the growing list of Yellowstone shows, which includes upcoming projects like the Rip and Beth spinoff, Dutton Ranch, Michelle Pfeiffer's The Madison and the prequel 1944.
For the first time ever, CBS is putting three of its NCIS shows on one night. Starting in the fall of 2025, the franchise will take up the entire 8-11 p.m. slot on Tuesdays.
This means Season 23 of NCIS will air at 8 p.m. It will be followed by Season 2 of NCIS: Origins at 9 p.m. Then, the day will end with Season 3 of NCIS: Sydney at 10 p.m.
So, if you love the world of NCIS, Tuesdays will be your night to tune in, because it's all CBS will be airing.
Paramount Plus: from $7.99 a month/$79.99 a yearAll of CBS's programming, including the NCIS shows, is also available on Paramount+. For as little as $7.99 per month, you can have access to it all. You can also upgrade to Premium (which is $12.99 per month), and get access to Showtime and take away ads. View Deal
Now, the two aforementioned topics are massive news. However, I might be more shocked by a new show that was announced with this schedule.
Before Y: Marshals takes the stage on Sundays in the spring, The Road will air during that 9 p.m. slot this fall. This is a new singing competition produced by Yellowstone's mastermind Taylor Sheridan, and it will feature Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Gretchen Wilson.
This will mark Shelton's return to the world of singing competitions after his tenure as a coach on The Voice, and he'll get to collaborate with Urban and Wilson, who are both dominant voices in the country music world.
Overall, this sounds epic, and considering the team behind it, I'm in shock and awe over this new show.
Along with all of that, CBS did announce its full line-up, which included a handful of new shows that are worth mentioning. Along with The Road, the fall programming will include the Blue Bloods follow-up, Boston Blue, the first Fire Country spinoff, Sheriff Country, the Tom Ellis-led series CIA, and a new comedy called DMV. Meanwhile, the midseason premieres will include Harlan Coben's Final Twist and America's Culinary Cup, as well as the return of Watson for Season 2 after the Season 1 finale that will – to quote the showrunner – "go bang!"
Adding to the excitement, a ton of beloved shows, like Ghosts, Tracker and Fire Country, are returning too, and you can see CBS's full 2025-2026 lineup below:
Monday
8p.m.: The Neighborhood
8:30 p.m.: DMV

9 p.m.: The Road (Fall '25) / Y: Marshals (Spring '26)
10 p.m.: CBS: Encores (Fall '25) / Watson (Spring '26)
Overall, CBS's lineup for the next season is thrilling, and I can't wait for it.
However, we'll have to wait a few months for it. Have no fear, though. Everything from CBS's schedule this season is available with a Paramount+ subscription, so you have plenty of time to get caught up and stay entertained while we wait for this next season of programming.

Jana Kramer Says Husband Allan Russell's Comments About Forbidding Her from Doing Sex Scenes Were a 'Joke'

Jana Kramer addressed her husband Allan Russell's statements about not allowing her to perform an intimate scene while on an acting job 'There's a conversation with every [job] we take,' Kramer recently told E! News Kramer also criticized fans for "[ripping] him apart" for his comments about acting in intimate scenesJana Kramer is addressing the controversial statements her husband made about her filming intimate scenes. The One Tree Hill alum, 41, spoke about her husband Allan Russell's thoughts on her taking on acting roles that would require her to be intimate with someone else, in a recent interview with E! News published Friday, June 6. 'He was joking,' Kramer told the outlet of her husband. 'There's a conversation with every [job] we take. It's the same thing with his line of work.' 'I'm not going to do something that is wildly taking my clothes off for no reason,' the actress continued. 'If it is creatively gonna move the needle and it's important to me for the role, he is so supportive.' On the Dec. 8 episode of Kramer's iHeart podcast, Whine Down, she and Russell discussed a recent episode of Yellowstone, in which Wes Bentley and Dawn Olivieri's characters had a sex scene. Without hesitation, the former soccer player told his actress wife she could never take on a similar role. 'There's not part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow that, ever, for a man to be that close to you like that,' he said. 'Never.' 'What if Taylor Sheridan has me audition and I book a role where I have to have that scene?' Kramer responded, referring to Yellowstone's creator. 'Then I will go Tommy Lee on everyone,' Russell, 43, exclaimed. 'I will be phoning the producers and threatening the producers, 'You need to change that scene. Well, this for the good of your health, you need to change this scene.' ' 'No. I wouldn't let you do that scene. No,' he added. 'That's not good for a marriage, that type of role. It's not. Especially [as] a man who's not in the acting world, it's difficult, therefore that's my opinion based on, I'm not in that world. You can keep smiling and laughing if you want. But let's flip it. Let's flip it because we always do that.' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Speaking with E!, Kramer said that much of her success is owed to her husband. 'I do owe a lot of it to my husband,' she told the outlet. 'In the past I wouldn't have focused so much on the work because I was so worried about, 'OK, what woman is he cheating on me with?' I wasn't able to truly settle and be confident.' 'He's like, 'I'm your lucky charm.' I'm like, 'No, you are!' It's been great,' she added, noting that Russell makes her feel 'not only supported, but loved and like I can do my work.' Kramer also criticized fans for "[ripping] him apart" for his comments about acting in intimate scenes. 'That's what marriage is—it's a conversation. It's not like, 'No, you cannot do this.' I don't think that's healthy,' she finished. The actress and country music star tied the knot with the 44-year-old Scottish soccer player on July 13, 2024, during an intimate wedding at Carnell Estate in Scotland. Princess Sofia Missed a Dazzling Tiara Moment After Debuting Baby Princess Ines at Royal Event

State banquets are always a highlight on the royal calendar, filled with pomp, ceremony, elaborate decor and, of course, tiaras. The Swedish royal family owns quite the collection of jewels, and they brought out the bling for a state banquet in honor of an Icelandic state visit on Tuesday, May 6. While King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Madeleine and her husband, Chris O'Neill, attended the glittering event, Princess Sofia was notably absent. Although 40-year-old Sofia, who is married to Prince Carl Philip, recently brought her three-month-old daughter, Princess Ines, for her first balcony appearance on April 30, she stayed home from the banquet. The Swedish princess gave birth to baby Ines on Feb. 7 and therefore is officially on maternity leave, but she did step out on the palace balcony last month as it was her father-in-law the king's birthday. Along with baby Ines, Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip are the parents of three boys: Prince Alexander, 9, Prince Gabriel, 7, and 4-year-old Prince Julian. Sofia might have skipped this week's state banquet, but her mother-in-law and sisters-in-law dazzled in heirloom family jewelry—and even sneakers—at the event. Queen Silvia kept it comfy in white trainers as she recovered from a foot surgery, pairing her sneakers with a sparkly pink gown and matching wrap. And although her footwear might have been sensible, she went big with her jewels. The Swedish queen wore a diamond tiara known as Queen Sofia's tiara, adding a massive pink topaz and diamond necklace and matching earrings. As for Crown Princess Victoria, she repeated a white gown covered in colorful floral appliqués, adding the Swedish Aquamarine Kokoshnik tiara to her look. Meanwhile, Princess Madeleine—who wore a strapless, berry-hued gown—debuted a special family diadem, wearing the King Edward VII Ruby Tiara. Per The Court Jeweller, Madeleine is the only modern royal to have worn the 120-year-old piece other than Queen Silvia.

Baby Princess Ines Has Her First Matching Moment With Mom Princess Sofia in Tiny National Costume

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Princess Ines might only be four months old, but she's already getting into the National Day spirit—and in adorable style. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden's new baby made a surprise appearance with her parents to celebrate Sweden's National Day on Friday, June 6, joining mom and dad to officially open the palace to visitors. And even though she's just an infant, this marks Ines's second official royal appearance. Princess Sofia is on maternity leave at the moment, but she surprised royal watchers by bringing Ines to help open the royal palace in Stockholm Friday. Dressed in a national costume with the colors of the Swedish flag, Sofia held her daughter, who was adorably clad in a matching blue and yellow dress with a white shirt underneath and white tights. In a video shared by Carl Philip and Sofia on Instagram, the couple wrote, "Glad nationaldag🇸🇪 Today we opened the Royal Palace for visitors." They're seen opening the massive wooden doors to the palace with Ines and waving to onlookers before groups of visitors flooded through the gates. The prince and princess also brought Ines into the courtyard to greet people from the Swedish Scouts and the Prinsparets Stiftelse, or the Prince Couple's Foundation, the charitable organization created after their 2015 wedding. Although Sofia and Ines didn't take part in the rest of the National Day festivities, Prince Carl Philip joined the rest of the Swedish royal family, including his parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, sister Crown Princess Victoria and brother-in-law, Prince Daniel. Princess Ines—who is eighth in line to the throne—was born on Feb. 7, joining big brothers Prince Alexander, 9, Prince Gabriel, 7, and Prince Julian, 4. She was given the title of Duchess of Västerbotten by her grandfather, the king, at birth. The little princess made her first official appearance at just two months old, joining her family on the palace balcony to celebrate King Carl Gustaf's birthday. Royal fans will have more photos of baby Ines to look forward to soon enough. On Friday, June 13, the princess will be christened on a very special day—Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia's 10th wedding anniversary—at the same church where they got married in 2015.
