Ruru Madrid expresses interest in directing
Aside from acting, Ruru Madrid is also eyeing getting into directing.
On Wednesday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' Ruru was asked if he has any interest in taking on a directorial job.
'Gusto. Sobrang gusto,' Ruru said.
The Sparkle actor confirmed that he will get there, and it's something that he wants to do in the future.
'Yes. And anytime soon,' he added.
Ruru stars in 'Lolong: Ang Pangil ng Maynila,' which is set to air its grand finale on Friday.
Ruru had wrapped up his taping for the series and signed off as his title character, saying playing the role of Lolong was never easy because it comes with some sacrifice.
'Dumaan kami sa matitinding pagsubok, lalo na nung hindi ako makagalaw dahil sa injury. Kailangan naming baguhin ang takbo ng kwento. Pero hindi tumigil ang laban. Hindi bumitaw ang bawat isa. Lahat nag-step up, nagkaisa, at piniling lumaban para sa isa't isa,' he said.
The Kapuso Primetime Action Hero first played the title character in 2022 when "Lolong" Season 1 premiered.
In "Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila," Lolong moves to Manila for a fresh start after losing his powers. There, he encounters action-packed adventures and challenges.
The series airs Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras" on GMA Prime.

Barbie Forteza leads fun run on 'Pinoy Big Brother'
Barbie Forteza had a fun and active task for the 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition' housemates during her time as a houseguest. As seen in Thursday's episode, the Sparkle star led the PBB Collab Fun Run. The duos had to run 25 laps around the pool. After this, they would get five balls, each amounting to P20,000. The winning duo would give P100,000 to their chosen charity. The Kapuso Primetime Princess taught the housemates how to stretch before the run. Barbie also ran each lap with all the duos. Ralph De Leon said, 'It was very contagious how happy she made everyone feel, on how she really tried lifting everyone up.' Barbie also praised the duos for how they support each other. After the activity, Barbie said, 'Nakakatuwa dahil naipamahagi ko 'yung hobby ko—na na-e-enjoy kong gawin—sa kanila, na nakapag-bonding kami dahil sa pagtakbo, tapos nakatulong pa kami.' Kuya congratulated the duos and Barbie for a successful task, and they all received income for their chosen charity. 'Malaking bagay na nagkaroon ng ganitong task, na alam nila na sa chosen foundation nila mapupunta 'yung mga pinagpaguran nila, mga itinakbo nila,' Barbie said. The actress added that the task also helped the housemates' mindsets to not just compete within themselves, but 'mas malaki ang ibig sabihin ng kanilang pananatili dito.' Barbie is set to star in the film 'P77' and the series 'Beauty Empire.' "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" airs new episodes on GMA Network weeknights at 10:05 p.m. and Saturdays at 6:15 p.m. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
