Will Salman Khan Ever Own An IPL Team Like SRK? Battle Of Galwan Actor's BIG Reveal
Salman Khan revealed whether he ever plans to own an IPL team like Shah Rukh Khan. He also revealed that he had first turned down the offer in 2008.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently opened up about his thoughts on owning a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Known as the world's biggest cricket league, the Indian T20 tournament has been a crowd-puller since its inception in 2008, offering nail-biting run chases, spectacular bowling spells, and unforgettable cricketing moments. Many Bollywood actors, including Shah Rukh Khan, own IPL teams.
While SRK and Juhi Chawla co-own Kolkata Knight Riders, Preity Zinta co-owns Punjab Kings. Salman Khan, who has worked with all of them in films, revealed he has no plans to have his own IPL team. At Season 3 kick-off of the World Padel League event in Mumbai, Bollywood's Bhaijaan was asked if he would ever consider owning a franchise. He jokingly replied, 'IPL ke liye too old ho gaye hum (I am too old to buy an IPL team now)."
He then went on to share that he had actually received an offer to own a team back in 2008 but turned it down. 'IPL offer hua tha us waqt, liya nahi (The IPL offer was made earlier, but I didn't accept it at that time)", Salman said, adding, 'Aisa nahi hai ki pachta rahe hain hum. Khush hi hain hum" (It is not like I have any regrets, I am happy).

Salman Khan says he wants to start gilly danda league
In yet another viral video from the same event, Salman Khan left the audience in splits with his quirky idea of launching leagues based on childhood games. At the event, where his brother Sohail Khan owns a team, Salman joked, 'Main goti league kholunga, kanche, main gilly danda league kholunga is prakaar ke league khelunga, chain cook, hide and seek league, chor police league, main in sab league main interested hun. Aur phir educated log hai toh, main doctor-doctor league kholna chahunga (I will start a marbles league, a gilli-danda league. I want to play these kinds of leagues—chain cook, hide and seek, and cops and robbers. And since there are educated people, I would also like to start a 'doctor-doctor' league)", he added, prompting laughter from the crowd.
On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar opposite Rashmika Mandanna. He is currently busy shooting for Battle of Galwan, a film based on the 2020 India-China Galwan Valley conflict.
