KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Muaz Zabir has dismissed claims that his mother did not approve of his friendship with Bella Astillah due to the singer's status as a single mother.
Muaz or Muaz Mohamad Zabir, 28, said in a news report yesterday that netizens should stop making baseless accusations against his loved ones.
"The relationship between my family and Bella's is good, and my mother gets along great with Bella.
"In fact my mother is the easiest person to talk to. Bella and my mother are okay, they have even had meals together," he told Oh Bulan.
The Keluarga Itu actor said that he still maintained a good relationship with Bella despite their previous controversy.
"We are still friends and have no problem working with each other. Even during the Hari Raya holidays, I went to Bella's house and met her family."
"There was no intention to make a video (of himself with Bella's kids) viral and the post was also done by someone else.
Previously, a video featuring the actor with Bella's two children during a Raya open house went viral.
On another note, Muaz admitted that he likes to entertain children because they bring "joy to his life".
"I receive many messages from single mothers. They have praised me for this.
According to Muaz, his love for children was inculcated since childhood, especially since his mother used to babysit her family friends' children and grandchildren.

"Baby M is now five months old and I think it's time to introduce my son, Nik Muhammad Nik Iruwan," she posted. "Thank you all for always praying for Baby M; I hope everything is wonderful for you." Nabila also invited the public to Baby M's aqiqah ceremony in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, today. "Happy Eid al-Adha to everyone. Ayden participated in the Langkawi Swim Fest at Tanjung Rhu yesterday, much to the surprise and immense pride of his mother. Bella, 31, shared her astonishment and joy on Instagram, saying, "Ayden is amazing, after only a week of training he has been able to swim 400 metres in the sea."
