Elon Musk's master plan: SpaceX, xAI, and X unite, Grok is the one AI to rule them all

India Todaya day ago
Elon Musk has taken a major step towards unifying his companies under one AI-driven future. His space company SpaceX has invested $2 billion in xAI, the artificial intelligence startup he founded last year. The goal is to bring AI closer to the core of all his ventures, including SpaceX, Tesla, and his social media platform X (formerly Twitter). The move comes after xAI merged with X earlier this year, and the combined company is now valued at around $113 billion, according to a Reuters report. The large funding round was led by Morgan Stanley in June. It shows strong investor confidence in Musk's plan to use AI as a central force across his businesses.advertisementA key part of this plan is Grok, the chatbot created by xAI. Grok is already being used for handling customer queries on Starlink, SpaceX's satellite internet service, and tests are underway to bring it into Tesla's Optimus robots. Musk reportedly wants Grok to be the main AI system running across his entire ecosystem. In simple terms, one AI that can work across rockets, robots, and social media.
This $2 billion investment is the biggest one SpaceX has made outside of its own space operations. The company has generally focused on rockets and satellites but has occasionally helped Musk's other ventures. In the past, SpaceX gave Musk funding support during Tesla's early days and even helped finance his Twitter purchase with a \$1 billion loan, which he later repaid. But putting such a large amount into AI does come with some risks. SpaceX is already spending heavily on Starship, its ambitious rocket project that has faced delays and test failures. While SpaceX reportedly has over $3 billion in cash, funding two major efforts at once—Starship and xAI—could put pressure on finances and investor expectations.Still, Musk seems confident in his long-term vision. By making Grok the core AI for all his businesses, he hopes to build a system that connects everything from Mars missions to self-driving cars and social media platforms. But there are challenges ahead. Grok still faces questions about how reliable and accurate it really is, and scaling it across such different use cases won't be easy.- Ends

4 Tokens disrupting the meme coin market this July: Bonk (BONK) and more to watch in 2025

July 2025 has seen a major shift in the meme coin sector, with several tokens making disruptive moves. Bonk (BONK), Shiba Inu, and Dogecoin are gaining renewed attention due to ecosystem upgrades, community support, and improved market performance. However, one new entrant, Little Pepe ($LILPEPE), is drawing the spotlight with real blockchain utility behind its meme-based branding. With technical innovations and a strong roadmap, it positions itself as more than a trend. Among the four, Little Pepe has emerged as the strongest pick for long-term viability. 1. Bonk (BONK) Bonk has maintained momentum after its December 2023 rally, becoming Solana's flagship meme token. It remains integrated into various Solana-based dApps, improving its real-world use. The token has benefited from Solana's growth in both speed and developer activity. Bonk continues to ride on community strength and expanding listings. Its performance in July 2025 shows consistent trading volume across top-tier exchanges. Developers are focusing on DeFi tie-ins for further BONK utility. 2. Shiba Inu (SHIB) Shiba Inu remains a top meme coin in 2025, with its ecosystem developments like Shibarium, ShibaSwap, and the Shiba Inu burn mechanism. Its Layer 2 upgrade has allowed faster transactions and lower gas fees. SHIB's development team is investing heavily in staking and DeFi protocols. NFT integration and community events keep its audience engaged. The token has sustained a loyal base, driving consistent liquidity. SHIB's continued roadmap delivery gives it a place among the top disruptors this July. 3. Dogecoin (DOGE) Dogecoin continues to lead the meme coin sector by market cap and adoption and the ongoing July 2025 rally places DOGE in a position to make substantial gains. Its increased use in online payments and tipping boosts relevance. Developers are exploring smart contract support for future versions. Elon Musk's indirect mentions still influence price movements. In addition to being a veteran in the space, DOGE remains influential in meme crypto trends. 4. Little Pepe (LILPEPE): Could This Be the Meme Coin With Real Utility That Others Lack? Little Pepe ($LILPEPE) enters the scene with a technical foundation not seen in most meme tokens. It is built on an Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 blockchain, unlike major meme coins, it offers ultra-low fees, fast speeds, and sniper bot protection. Unlike others, Little Pepe has introduced zero tax on trading, staking rewards, and DAO governance from launch. A meme launchpad has also been included to incubate new projects directly in the ecosystem. The total supply of the project is 100,000,000,000 tokens, of which 26.5% are set at the presale. The presale, as of present, has raised $5,093,021, in the amount of its goal of $6,575,000. In stage 5, 4,191,443,736 tokens have already been sold at the price of $0.0014. The next stage 6 will increase the price of the tokens to $0.0015, whereas the previous stages were sold out with prices of $0.001, $0.0011, $0.0012, and $0.0013 respectively. The next steps of Little Pepe are cross-chain capabilities, the incorporation of NFTs and elaboration of DAO. Chain reserves have reached 30 billion tokens, and there is 13.5 billion tokens dedicated to staking and platform also includes a 10 billion token reserve for centralized exchange listings and 10 billion for liquidity. There is no buy or sell tax, making it efficient for trading. To mark its launch, Little Pepe has initiated a $777,000 giveaway. Ten participants will each receive $77,000 in $LILPEPE tokens, who can enter by contributing a minimum of $100 to the presale as the giveaway is only available during the presale period. Conclusion Little Pepe is more of a utility token rather than a meme coin, having serious Layer 2 potential. The project is a combination of zero-tax trading, protection against sniper bots, DAO voting, and staking which is frequently lacking in early meme coins. The long-term ecosystem is already being set in motion with NFTs and cross-chain compatibility on the agenda. Since Dogecoin and Shiba Inu have already presented vast profits in past cycles, Little Pepe joins the show with the infrastructure that may sustain the next meme rally. Elon Musk Unveils Custom AI Companions for Grok, Featuring Goth Anime Girl ‘Ani' and Red Panda ‘Rudy'

Elon Musk's AI chatbot Grok is stepping into the world of digital companionship. In a fresh move to expand user interaction, Grok has introduced customisable AI companions — the first of which are a goth-themed anime character named Ani and a red panda named Rudy. These AI avatars are currently being rolled out as part of a soft launch available to subscribers of Super Grok, a $30/month tier under the broader X Premium+ offering. This premium subscription gives users access to advanced AI features including DeepSearch, image generation, real-time data capabilities, and a complex reasoning mode. Musk shared the update through a post on X, saying, 'This is pretty cool,' along with an image of Ani — a character designed with a distinct goth anime aesthetic. Ani is shown as a blonde girl with pigtails, dressed in a black corset, short skirt, and thigh-high fishnet stockings. The avatar can be activated by adjusting settings within the Grok app, according to early user reports. Rudy, on the other hand, is a red panda-inspired companion, bringing a more playful and whimsical design to the mix. Both Ani and Rudy are designed to engage users through interactive conversations typical of the Grok experience. While xAI has not officially published comprehensive documentation about these AI avatars, testers confirm that the companions are interactive and have a human-like conversational style. The move seems to signal a larger strategy by xAI to create more engaging and persona-driven experiences for its user base. Interestingly, a third character named Chad has also been spotted in the app interface, hinting that more AI companions may soon join the lineup. Grok's existing voice chat functionality may also get integrated with these avatars, enabling even more immersive, spoken interactions. However, the launch hasn't been without controversy. Reports suggest that Ani includes an optional not-safe-for-work (NSFW) mode, altering her appearance to include more suggestive visuals. The Verge has noted that NSFW content associated with Ani has already appeared on X, sparking debate over content moderation. xAI has yet to release an official statement on the matter. This development also adds to the ongoing conversation about the psychological effects of emotionally engaging AI avatars. While these companions are not being officially marketed as romantic or emotional partners, their design and the ability to personalise them suggest a deliberate lean into emotionally resonant interactions. Experts warn that this could blur the lines between utility and intimacy in AI relationships. Grok's AI companions are designed to enhance personalisation and boost user engagement within the paid tiers of Musk's X ecosystem. As xAI continues to refine and expand these features, it's clear the future of AI chat is becoming more character-driven and emotionally interactive.
