Championship Predictions:
The best bets to win the 2025 Cup Series title? If experience and history mean anything, Kyle Larson and Ryan Blaney will be the drivers to beat when it comes down to the finale at Phoenix Raceway.
Blaney won the title in 2023 and arguably had the fastest car in the 2024 championship race but got mired in a little bit of traffic on a late restart and couldn't rally enough to beat teammate Joey Logano. Team Penske has won three consecutive titles (Logano in 2022 and 2024 and Blaney in 2023) and appears to have found an edge in making speed at Phoenix. Also, with it possibly the last year for the championship to be in Phoenix, Blaney will be looking to capitalize at a track where he seemingly is one to beat.
Larson won the 2021 title and earned a series-high six victories in 2024. He didn't make the championship round last year but like Blaney, is a driver who consistently finds a little more speed. He admits that Penske has the advantage with the finale at Phoenix, but Hendrick Motorsports still has the entire season to make gains on its short-track program. And a potential softer tire for the championship race potentially could cut into the gap between Penske and the rest of the field.
Race Win Total Predictions:
Busch came inches away from winning two races last year. Getting those inches back seems so close and yet so far away. He could just as easily win three races as he could no races.
In his first full season, van Gisbergen will win a Cup race on a road course. He should win two, but the rigors of a 38-race schedule and the precision needed from not just him, but his team could keep him from having multiple wins in 2025.
Gibbs has been on the brink of victory several times in his first three years. More likely than not, he will get that first Cup triumph this season.
Reddick is hitting his prime as a Cup driver. But he's never had more than three victories in one season and while three again seems attainable, a fourth is iffy.

Denny Hamlin Stunned by Alex Bowman's Michigan Crash - 'Big Lick'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Denny Hamlin has reacted to Alex Bowman's crash during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday. Hamlin was surprised by the intensity of the incident and described it as a "big lick." Five drivers were involved in the crash that brought out the red flag. Contact between cars No. 41 and 2 triggered the incident. Cars No. 99, 48, and 19 weren't spared either. Bowman, Daniel Suarez, Cole Custer, Austin Cindric, and Chase Briscoe were the affected drivers, and fortunately, all escaped unharmed. However, Bowman crashed hard, which prompted him to admit that it was the "biggest hit" he had experienced in a stock car. Newsweek Sports reported his statement after the crash: Alex Bowman, driver of the #48 Ally Chevrolet, pits after an on-track incident during the NASCAR Cup Series Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway on June 01, 2025 in Lebanon, Tennessee. Alex Bowman, driver of the #48 Ally Chevrolet, pits after an on-track incident during the NASCAR Cup Series Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway on June 01, 2025 in Lebanon, Tennessee."It happened so fast that I didn't even see them. I didn't know who hit me until I saw the video. It's always turbulent in the 300th. It's crazy back there. It gets wild and that is part of racing. It's wild all through the field. "Unfortunately, the further back you get, the less downforce cars have, the dirtier the air, the situations you're in, and the worst everybody stuff drives. So stuff like this tends to happen." He added: "I feel okay. It was the biggest hit I've ever taken in a stock car by a mile. Head-on into the wall at Michigan, it's gonna be that way. Try to go get them next week." The red flag is out at @MISpeedway after this incident involving multiple cars.@Alex_Bowman exited the No. 48 under his own power. — NASCAR (@NASCAR) June 8, 2025 Hamlin said on his Actions Detrimental podcast that he knew the crash was serious since he wasn't allowed to go past the "crime scene." He said: "Major. I knew it had to be a big lick, because they wouldn't even let us go through this crime scene. The caution came out for us, I think I was somewhere on the back stretch, and we were stopped right after the start-finish line. "So, at that point, when it goes red that quickly, I'm like, 'Oh, must've had a big one.' I point myself out to look at the screen to see the replay, and I was like, 'Whoa, that was a big hit.'" When the NASCAR veteran was asked about the impact of the crash and the pain that comes from such crashes, he said: "You certainly feel it more so the day after and the following days. Like, for instance, my wrist from Daytona - I think it's still not right from where it was. Like, I'm so old now, it's like, will it ever be right again? It just sucks to put any kind of pressure on it. "It's just, I think it's different for everyone. People recover differently. But yeah, I mean, head-on impact like that. Certainly when the Next Gen originally came out and it was solid as a rock, you know, before they started cutting up the roll cage and all kinds of stuff to get the impacts a little bit softer, you know, that could've been a way worse wreck than what it appears that it resulted in."

Thunder vs. Pacers Game 3 pick: 2025 NBA Finals player props, predictions
New York Post may be compensated and/or receive an affiliate commission if you click or buy through our links. Featured pricing is subject to change. The NBA Finals heads to Indiana for Game 3 and what should be a raucous crowd. The Pacers have demonstrated they are a tough team and won't bow down to the heavily favored Thunder. Indy is a 5.5-point home underdog with a total of 228.5. Personally, I think it is a tough handicap as I expect the Pacers to respond to a convincing loss and OKC tends to be a mixed bag on the road. I am unsure which version we will get. However, I do think the proposition betting market offers a few good opportunities. Chet Holmgren has cashed the Under for his rebounds prop in seven straight games, dating back to the Western Conference finals, and I was close to going back to the well again for Game 3. However, OKC has adjusted its starting lineup in this series and I am a bit reluctant. Isaiah Hartenstein normally starts but has been relegated to a bench role so far against Indiana. Nonetheless, he has cashed the Over for his rebounding prop in both games and I was close to making that another play. Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (55) comes back up court against the Indiana Pacers during the fourth quarter of game two of the 2025 NBA Finals at Paycom Center. Alonzo Adams-Imagn Images Then again, the game script does not necessarily favor OKC and his reduced minutes give me pause. Thus, I am holding my powder. But I do think we have value with Hartenstein's points. His prop sits at 7.5 and the Under feels like a strong play. He scored nine points in the opener and then three points in Game 2. In my eyes, the Game 1 output was a total outlier. Betting on the NBA? Hartenstein's natural behavior is to set perimeter screens or feed teammates with his strong passing ability. And sometimes he combines those two actions with a handoff to a curling teammate, as he sets a screen around the 3-point line. This is not a guy who looks much for his shot unless the shot clock is winding down or he has putback opportunities. I have a 49-40-1 ATS record in this Post sports section. My next play is Hartenstein Under 7.5 points (-110, FanDuel Sportsbook) in Game 3.
