Kyline Alcantara says she learned about ‘boundaries, self respect' after last relationship
On Friday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the Sparkle star still described the relationship itself as a positive experience despite the emotional challenges it came with.
'It was a beautiful experience. I felt really happy. I felt really loved. It's just that we're two different people, and that's OK. And that is OK. I've learned a lot of lessons in that relationship, and I will always treasure every experience or achievements na nagawa naming dalawa,' Kyline said.
Admittedly, Kyline said that there was bitterness at first.
'But ngayon po, wala na at all kasi, again, you cannot be bothered by the things that you cannot control,' she said.
When asked what the lessons she learned from it were, Kyline said, 'Knowing your boundaries and having self-respect. Siguro 'yun po 'yung dalawang importante na natutunan ko sa relationship na 'yon.'
She also shared that her reasoning for not speaking publicly about the breakup stemmed from a place of respect and grace.
'Kaya hindi po ako nagsalita kasi I still have respect for him as a person despite everything that happened. And sa lahat naman po ng mga tao na nasaktan ako, I will always show them grace,' she said.
Looking ahead, Kyline is focused on personal growth and moving forward.
'Kailangan po nating mag-move forward sa buhay,' she said.
In the same "Fast Talk" interview, Kyline turned emotional as she shared how her friend and "Beauty Empire" co-star Barbie Forteza helped her cope with her recent heartbreak.
"Si Barbie talaga, iba po talaga siya. Maiiyak ako, kasi iba po talaga si Barbie. She just gave me my confidence back, she made me realize na, 'Ikaw muna mare,'" she said, tearing up.
In an earlier GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, which aired in '24 Oras' Thursday, Kyline said that her heart is doing good and better now.
She even reassured others not to worry about her. "Please don't worry about me. Please don't. I can handle this. Baka strong woman 'to."
Kyline currently stars in 'Beauty Empire' with Barbie.

'The Clash': Tombi Romulo thankful for a second chance at the singing competition
Tombi Romulo is the latest hopeful to get eliminated on 'The Clash 2025,' but she remains thankful for the opportunity. In an interview with GMA News Online, the Cavite native said she is she gave her best. 'Actually 'pag nanalo ka, bonus na lang 'yun eh,' Tombi said. 'Sobrang happy and thankful ako na isa ako sa mga napili na ituloy 'yung journey ko na nasimulan ko before.' Tombi also looked back on the challenges she experienced this season, and said it was as if she was competing for the first time again. 'Kasi ilang years na po, nagbago na po. Tapos may new Clashers pa na magagaling so nakaka-pressure,' she said, and added that this season had so many twists. Meanwhile, one of her biggest achievements was winning Round 1 when she beat out Jeniffer Maravilla. 'Biggest achievement po sa 'kin itong piyesa ko, maitawid ko nang maayos. Eh sobra sobra pa 'yung binigay ni God, nanalo pa po 'ko." On social media following her elimination, Tombi said "nagtapos man ang journey ko sa The Clash, mananatili pa din akong palaban 'di lang sa contest, pati sa mga hamon sa buhay." If Tombi would have won, she said the first thing she would do is to thank the Lord and go to church. She also would use the prize money to start businesses. In a previous interview, Tombi described her 'The Clash' journey through the song 'Patuloy ang Pangarap' by Angeline Quinto, because she was given a second chance as a Clashbacker, to pursue her dreams, and redeem her loss from Season 2.
