The Scottish Championship has been added to the DP World Tour's 2025 global schedule, taking place at Trump International Golf Links Scotland in Aberdeenshire from 7-10 August.
It will be the first time the Tour has visited the venue, which was designed by Martin Hawtree and opened in 2012.
"It promises to be an excellent venue for the return of the Scottish Championship to our schedule," said Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour.
The Scottish Championship was last played in October 2020 when Adrian Otaegui finished four shots clear of Matt Wallace at Fairmont St Andrews.
Following the Scottish Championship, the tour's 'closing swing' will conclude with the Danish Golf Championship at Fureso Golf Klub in Copenhagen.
That will be the last opportunity for players to qualify for the 'Back 9', the second phase of the DP World Tour's season, which begins with the Betfred British Masters hosted by Nick Faldo at The Belfry, from 21-24 August.

Tennis players' rankings to be protected during ‘ground-breaking' fertility time-out for freezing of eggs or embryos

The WTA Tour has announced that any player ranked between one and 750 in the world who is out for a minimum of 10 weeks will be eligible to receive a Special Entry Ranking (SER) which can be used to enter up to three competitions. This will be their average ranking over a 12-week period before and during their leave. The SER can be used in WTA events up to 500 events, but does not include the premier 1000 events. American star Sloane Stephens, who has twice used time during the off-season to freeze her eggs, welcomed the initiative. "I'm incredibly proud of our sport in recognising the importance of fertility treatments for female athletes," the 32-year-old said. "For any woman, the conversation of family life versus a career is nuanced and complex. The WTA has now created a safe space for players to explore options and to make the best decisions for themselves. "It's truly ground-breaking and will empower this generation, and future generations of players, to continue with the sport they love without having to compromise."
