'I was going to shoot him': Norma Mngoma on catching Malusi Gigaba cheating
The businesswoman has opened up about her marriage and divorce from the former Minister – whom she did not name – in a sit-down interview on the Showmax show, Untied.
Speaking to Untied presenter Relebogile Mabotja, Norma Mngoma shared the shocking story of how she reportedly caught her then-husband in bed with another woman.
Mngoma and her two children, whom she shares with Gigaba, has returned home early after a trip to Durban. After suspecting him of cheating throughout their marriage, she finally saw 'proof' of his actions.
'The lady was in bed [with him]. She was trying to cover herself. I took off his glasses, and I tried to beat him up.
A livid Norma Mngoma then proceeded to smash a R3 million Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, which Gigaba had borrowed from a friend.
She continued: 'I hated him, I thank God we didnt have a gun. Because if we had…I wasn't going to be dead. I was not going to die and leave my kids. I was going to shoot him, that's how angry I was.
She added: 'I was not in the right state of mind, what happened…I don't even remember'
A video of the incident went viral on social media…
Norma Mngoma was later arrested and sued by Malusi Gigaba and his pal for malicious damage to property and for sending a 'threatening' WhatsApp message.
Her arrest – where all of her electronic devices were confiscated – was deemed unlawful, and the case was withdrawn by the NPA. However, the defendant pursued civil charges, which are still ongoing.
In 2021, the year her divorce was finalised, Norma Mngoma testified against her ex-husband, Malusi Gigaba, on his alleged dealings with the notorious Gupta family.
In it, she claimed that Gigaba allegedly received bags of money from the brothers.
The family allegedly paid for their honeymoon in Dubai, home renovations, a luxury car, as well as purchasing designer clothing.

'I believe Kenny 100%': McKenzie defends Kenny Kunene
Patriotic Alliance leader Gayton McKenzie has defended his deputy, Kenny Kunene, amid controversy over alleged ties to a mastermind in DJ Sumbody's murder case. This follows Kunene's presence during the arrest of Katiso 'KT' Molefe, a suspect in DJ Sumbody's murder investigation. Molefe was arrested for his alleged role in the killing of amapiano star Oupa 'DJ Sumbody' Sefoka in November 2022. DJ Sumbody and his bodyguard died in a drive-by shooting on a Woodmead road after their vehicle was shot at. The arrest occurred on Monday, with Kunene present at Molefe's home, raising questions about their relationship and possible associations. Kunene insisted he was only there to assist journalists with a scheduled interview at Molefe's house. He explained that his contact had helped the journalist secure an interview with Molefe and had accompanied them there. Kunene maintains he does not have Molefe's contact details and had never visited the suspect's home before the arrest day. 'Then there was an opportunity to interview Molefe and somebody that I know who knows Molefe, and then I arranged the interview. I then had to transport the journalist to Molefe's home,' he told eNCA. He added he was shocked when the police raided Molefe's home and arrested him. Following this, on Tuesday, McKenzie announced that Kunene has been placed on thirty days of special leave while the matter is investigated internally. In a post on X, McKenzie said his believe that Kunene had no direct link with Molefe, and they are launching a probe. 'Firstly, I believe Kenny 100%. I can't expect everyone to believe him, hence we are launching a full investigation to prove what we already know, which is that he is innocent. We will share the whole process and findings,' he said. He added, 'People are saying that I shouldn't vouch for @Kenny_T_Kunene, but I will vouch for him a million times. I know this man. He is a socialite, and his only crime is the accessibility of everyone to him. I believe his version. The party has a duty to treat everyone the same.' WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS? Court dismisses NPA request for clarification of Timothy Omotoso's acquittal
JOHANNESBURG - The Eastern Cape High Court in Gqeberha has dismissed the National Prosecuting Authority's request for clarification of Timothy Omotoso's acquittal. Earlier this year, Omotoso and his co-accused were acquitted on over 30 charges of rape, racketeering, sexual assault and human trafficking. The NPA sought insight into Judge Irma Schoeman's April ruling that cleared the Nigerian televangelist. Delivering her ruling, Schoeman says the state is not entitled to request clarification prior to lodging an application for leave to appeal the acquittal.
