Kick streamer Adin Ross is once again at the center of internet backlash, this time for his reaction to WNBA players wearing protest-themed T-shirts. During a livestream on July 20, 2025, Ross went on a heated rant, claiming that only Caitlin Clark 'deserves' to wear the now-viral 'Pay Us What You Owe Us' shirts.
Within hours, clips of his comments spread like wildfire across X and Reddit.
Adin Ross calls WNBA a 'tax write-off,' says 'no revenue at all'
The comments came after Ross watched a clip of WNBA All-Star captains Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier walking out in black shirts with the bold message:
'Pay Us What You Owe Us.'
Ross paused the clip, then unleashed.
'Unless you're Caitlin Clark, you shouldn't ever be able to put on a shirt,'
he said. He followed up with a monologue where he denied being misogynistic but insisted the WNBA was, in his words,
'probably a write-off for the NBA'
and that the league generates
'no f**king revenue at all.'
He clarified, or at least tried to, that he
'loves women,'
has a mother and sisters, and wasn't trying to hate. But by that point, the clip had already spread like wildfire.
Social media explodes as fans, creators slam Ross's 'tone-deaf' take
By the next day, X (formerly Twitter) was flooded with reactions. Some called the rant sexist. Others said it was just plain misinformed.
'This nigga genuinely never knows shit about what he's talking about.
' one user wrote.
Many fans pointed out that stars like Angel Reese and A'ja Wilson have played a massive role in growing the WNBA's audience, long before Caitlin Clark entered the scene.

One viral reply said,
'To be honest he is right, She is the only reason people are talking about the WNBA.'
Another day, another
Adin Ross controversy
This isn't the first time Adin Ross has found himself at odds with the internet. But this time, the mix of gender, race, and sports economics hit differently.
What started as a livestream reaction turned into a full-on cultural debate. And while Ross may not care, as he loudly reminded his viewers, the backlash is loud, swift, and showing no signs of slowing down.

Manasi Parekh: After the National Award, people have suddenly started taking me seriously

Manasi Parekh Manasi Parekh has always chosen the road less travelled. While many in her place might have waited for mainstream validation, she focused on carving her own path, particularly within the Gujarati industry. After producing and starring in Kutch Express, directed by Viral Shah, which earned her the Best Actress National Award last year, things began to shift for her professionally. She will soon be seen in Maharani, backed by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, marking her second collaboration with Viral. The film explores the dynamic between a house help and her employer. Manasi with Shraddha Dangar in a still from Maharani Reflecting on her journey, in a chat with Mumbai Mirror, she shares, 'After Uri , I honestly didn't get as many interesting roles in Hindi as I had hoped. But I'm very enterprising, so instead of complaining, I decided to create opportunities for myself. When you're following your inner voice and not walking a path already taken, people tend to misjudge you. Bahot logon ko lagta hai, Gujarati mein kya kar legi?' That realisation prompted her to return to her roots. She says, 'I'm Gujarati, and I love my language. I thought, why not start something here? I began taking small steps. Kutch Express was our second production, and it went on to win three National Awards. That's when people started taking me seriously. They realised I wasn't just talking; I was letting my work speak.' The recognition, she says, has brought both respect and renewed faith in her artistic choices. She says, 'I worked hard for this. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Your New Zealand escape starts with Singapore Airlines Fly with Singapore Airlines Book Now Undo I made sure to back scripts that gave women a voice. As a producer, I was clear about that. And as an actor, I've always tried to create space for myself without imitating anyone else. That's what led to the National Award. Post that, there's a greater sense of respect and trust in my work. People have begun to see that I'm here for the long haul. ' Now that expectations have grown, does it feel like an added responsibility? She replies, 'Absolutely, but it's not a burden. I don't let it become this image I have to maintain. I don't suddenly start taking myself too seriously just because I've won a National Award. That mindset can be a trap. I've seen so many people get caught up in the image game, thinking this is my brand, this is how I should project myself. But that's not sustainable. Aaj hai, kal nahi hoga. Over my 20-year journey, I've seen people come and go. Some achieve great things and then disappear. So, the only thing you can do is stay humble, work hard, show up on time, and be professional. If you stick to these fundamental values, everything else will follow.'

5 Best enemies-to-lovers romance anime you can't miss

Source: IMDb Few romance anime tropes are as irresistibly dramatic and satisfying as the enemies-to-lovers arc. Whether it's clashing personalities, childhood grudges, or rivalries turned into slow-burning affection, this beloved storyline offers fiery tension and deeply rewarding character growth. In the world of anime, where emotions run high and storytelling is rich with nuance, these dynamics shine even brighter. From comedic mind games to heartbreaking betrayals and reluctant partnerships, each series featured here explores how love can grow from even the most explosive beginnings. If you're craving sharp banter, powerful chemistry, and emotional twists, these five anime are must-watches. From rivals to romance: 5 anime that nail the enemies-to-lovers trope Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Source: IMDb At the elite Shuchiin Academy, pride is everything, and love is war. Kaguya-sama: Love Is War revolves around two brilliant student council members, Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane, who both secretly harbour feelings for one another. However, neither is willing to confess first. Instead, they wage a hilarious and strategic psychological war to make the other surrender to love. This high-stakes romantic chess match blends comedy with genuine emotional growth. As the characters slowly peel back their walls of pride, vulnerability begins to shine through. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Susan Boyle Is Now so Thin and Looks Beautiful! Masamune-kun's Revenge Source: Crunchyroll Masamune Makabe was once an overweight, insecure child who was cruelly rejected by his crush, Aki Adagaki, earning him the humiliating nickname "Pig's Foot." Years later, Masamune returns as a handsome, confident teenager with a single goal: make Aki fall for him, then brutally reject her in return. But as he executes his revenge plot, he begins to realise that Aki isn't the shallow villain he once believed. Layers of pain, miscommunication, and vulnerability surface, blurring the lines between revenge and real emotion. The anime explores the emotional cost of revenge while developing a surprisingly complex and heartfelt connection between two broken individuals. Toradora! Source: Crunchyroll Toradora! takes the classic "I hate you... or do I?" premise and infuses it with genuine emotional depth. The story follows the fiery Taiga Aisaka and misunderstood Ryuuji Takasu, who initially can't stand each other. They form a reluctant alliance to help one another win over their crushes but soon find their feelings shifting in unexpected directions. Their confrontational relationship slowly melts into one of mutual care, support, and deep affection, making for one of anime's most emotionally satisfying slow-burn romances. The shift from rivalry to love feels natural and deeply earned, thanks to the characters' growth and evolving trust. Romeo x Juliet Source: IMDb Inspired by Shakespeare's iconic tragedy, Romeo x Juliet reimagines the classic love story in a fantasy world where the Montague family has violently seized control of Neo Verona. Juliet, the last Capulet, lives in hiding as the masked vigilante 'Red Whirlwind.' When she meets Romeo, the kind-hearted son of the tyrant, sparks fly, despite their blood-soaked family history. Their love blossoms in defiance of duty, politics, and centuries of hatred, adding high-stakes romance to an already tragic legacy. This adaptation captures the essence of forbidden love, with powerful themes of sacrifice, rebellion, and destiny. The World Is Still Beautiful Source: Crunchyroll When Princess Nike is forced to marry the young and ruthless Sun King Livius for political reasons, neither is thrilled. Livius is cold and commanding, while Nike is free-spirited and resistant to authority. Their initial interactions are full of tension and mistrust—but slowly, they begin to understand one another. As walls crumble, their relationship evolves from a power struggle to a partnership, creating a beautifully tender romance that highlights how trust and love can grow from even the rockiest beginnings. The enemies-to-lovers arc is balanced with strong emotional development, wrapped in a fairy tale aesthetic that's both whimsical and mature. The enemies-to-lovers trope continues to thrive in romance anime because it taps into something universal: the idea that love can emerge from chaos and that the strongest bonds are often forged through conflict and growth. These five series showcase that journey in vastly different settings, from school hallways to royal courts—and prove that love is sometimes just one argument away. So if you're looking for intense chemistry, witty clashes, and characters who grow together through their differences, these anime should be next on your watchlist.
