A vet expert from Mumbai, Saaniya Chandhok, hit the headlines on Thursday, as reports claimed she got engaged to legendary Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun, a day earlier. No official statement has been made by the two families about the engagement ceremony, but the mark of a new beginning in junior Tendulkar's life has raised curiosity about Saaniya.
Arjun, 25, who has been part of the Mumbai Indians since 2021, presented a ring to Saaniya in a private ceremony attended only by close friends and family members on Wednesday. Ever since the news of the engagement, fans have been wondering about Saaniya and who the new member of the Tendulkar family is.
Who is Saaniya Chandhok?
According to a report by India Today, Saaniya is the granddaughter of renowned Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, who is one of the leading personalities in the hospitality and food industry, maintaining ties with InterContinental Hotel and Brooklyn Creamery.
The report also claims Arjun's fiancée is the founder of Mumbai-based Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, which is an established brand known for pet grooming services. In a post earlier this year, the brand confirmed Saaniya is a certified Veterinary Technician from WVS, having completed her ABC programme. Apart from this, Saaniya is reportedly involved in the Ghai family's business activities and manages multiple companies.
Despite hailing from a business tycoon's family, Saaniya maintains a low profile on social media, with just over 800 followers and only 26 posts on her private Instagram account. Her follower account, though, includes Arjun and his sister Sara Tendulkar, with whom she has been clicked and appeared in social media posts several times.

Dipika underwent surgery After several check-ups and hospital visits, Dipika underwent a 14-hour-long surgery in June. Following that, her husband-actor Shoaib Ibrahim said that Dipika has no cancer cells, but since the tumour was classified as "grade three and poorly differentiated", it was "quite aggressive". He added that there are chances of recurrence of the tumour. Dipika was recently seen in the cooking game show Celebrity MasterChef. Before that, she starred in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 (2023) and Sasural Simar Ka 2 (2021).

Shubhanshu Shukla to return to India on August 19, to meet PM Modi
Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is set to return to India on Sunday (August 16, 2025) after his historic visit to the International Space Station (ISS) and is eager to share his experiences with friends and colleagues back home as ISRO eyes its maiden human spaceflight in 2027. Mr. Shukla, who has been in the U.S., training for the Axiom-4 mission to ISS for the past year, is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and travel to his hometown Lucknow soon after. He is expected to be back in the capital to participate in the National Space Day celebrations on August 22-23. Mr. Shukla posted on Instagram a smiling photograph of himself sitting in an aeroplane, and said in its caption that he was filled with mixed emotions as he left the U.S. and could not wait to return to India to share his experiences with everyone back home. "As I sit on the plane to come back to India, I have a mix of emotions running through my heart. I feel sad leaving a fantastic group of people behind who were my friends and family for the past one year during this mission. I am also excited about meeting all my friends, family and everyone in the country for the first time post mission. I guess this is what life is -- everything all at once," Mr. Shukla said in the post. "Having received incredible love and support from everyone during and after the mission, I can't wait to come back to India to share my experiences with all of you.
