‘KPop Demon Hunters' Dethroned In Netflix's Top 10 List By A New Movie
While KPop Demon Hunters has performed exceptionally on Netflix's Top 10 list, another new Netflix original movie has come along to unseat it. And it is a very, very bad one, by all accounts.
That would be The Old Guard 2, the sequel to the 2020 action film that apparently did well enough to warrant a sequel. It was well-reviewed, actually. It had an 80% critic scores and a solid 71% audience score, in the context of Netflix originals, quite good indeed.
The Old Guard 2? It's a disaster. The film has a dismal 28% score from critics, a 52% drop, and so far, it's not beloved by fans either where it clocks in with a 43% score. Here's the synopsis of the Charlize Theron thriller:
Top 10
The film has drawn in actress Uma Thurman this time around and given her a sword for the first time since Kill Bill, but that isn't enough, and if you liked the first one, you may want to skip this one.
What you do not want to skip is KPop Demon Hunters, no matter where it ends up on the Top 10 list or how far it falls. The film is incredible with a 94% critic score and from Sony Animation, the group behind the Spider-Verse movies, and you can tell from the unique animation style here. The movie is so good that its soundtrack is charting high on Billboard, and there's already talk of a sequel given the reception. It's been high on the Top 10 list since its release well over two weeks ago, and I'd say that definitely makes it one of the most successful Netflix original movies we've seen in a while.
So, skip The Old Guard 2 (maybe watch the first one, if you haven't) and check out KPop Demon Hunters. I know you will probably not regret either piece of advice.

Forza Motorsport Could Be in Trouble Following Microsoft Layoffs
It might be the end of an era for racing fans. Microsoft has allegedly slashed the staff at Turn 10 Studios, the developer behind the Forza Motorsport video game franchise. It's unclear how many people the studio laid off, but reports indicate that nearly half the staff has been let go. The Verge is reporting that around 70 people were fired, and it's unclear how this will affect future installments of the Forza Motorsport franchise. The studio launched the franchise's latest installment in 2023, simply named Forza Motorsport , for the Xbox Series X/S and PC. It garnered tepid reviews , with some disliking parts of the game's newer elements, like the RPG-style progression system, which the studio attempted to address. Photo by: Turn 10 Studios However, gamers have generally enjoyed the Motorsport franchise. Early examples of the game earned Metacritic scores in the low 90s; however, the scores began to falter with the release of Forza Motorsport 5 . Forza Motorsport (2023) was the eighth installment in the series. The franchise launched in 2005 as Xbox's response to PlayStation's Gran Turismo . Microsoft would expand the Forza franchise with the launch of Forza Horizon , an arcade-style open-world alternative that emphasized the motoring lifestyle more than perfect lap times at iconic tracks. The layoffs at Turn 10 were part of a larger culling throughout Microsoft's various divisions. There are no reports that the tech giant laid off anyone at the studio behind the Horizon franchise, England's Playground Games, which is also available on the PlayStation. Jurassic World Rebirth Original Ending Detailed by Director Gareth Edwards
The original ending to killed off a major character. Universal Pictures' Jurassic World Rebirth is now playing in United States theaters. Directed by Gareth Edwards, the movie stars Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett, Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, and Rupert Friend as Martin Krebs. Speaking with Variety, Edwards confirmed that he originally killed off Ali's character during the final moments of the movie. 'It flipped back and forth a couple of times. In the draft I first read, he died, and I thought, 'That's great!' We started to pursue Mahershala, and for whatever reason, it felt like, well, if we're going to get Mahershala, we've got to keep him alive, right? But then Mahershala read it, and his only main note was, 'Can we kill him?' I agreed, so I joined Team Mahershala, and we both pushed to have him killed; the script changed back to him dying.' Edwards said the studio asked him to film two different versions of the film's ending: one where Ali's character lives and one where he dies. He continued, 'When we edited the movie and did the director's cut, I ended up sending the version that had him dying. It went well, but the studio said, 'Oh, it's great. But can we just see the version where he lives?' We hadn't put it together, so we went back and edited that, and everyone just said, 'It's got to be that.' We did two test screenings, and the reaction to him living, everyone was a lot happier. 'I still wasn't sure about it until the screening in New York. The moment where this flare appears revealing that he's lived got this massive applause, and I felt a little tear welling in my eye. Hats off to the studio. I'm glad they made me shoot that extra little section because I think it's probably the strongest part of the film.' Originally reported by Brandon Schreur at ComingSoon.

Lego's latest buildable arcade machine is packed full of fun hidden details
At 468-pieces it's no where near as elaborate as Lego's buildable Pac-Man machine, but this 6-inch tall Arcade Machine set will only set you back $39.99 when it launches on August 1st, 2025. At this scale Lego wasn't able to make this arcade machine playable like Pac-Man is, but it still managed to include some fun details. On the outside the machine features a generic Space game with tiny controls, matching cabinet artwork, a marquee, and a coin slot that actually accepts coins. Opening the arcade machine reveals a miniature gaming room inside with a minifigure, several tiny consoles, a TV, and lots of decor highlighting other Lego sets, including the Galaxy Explorer sitting on a shelf. You'll also find an even smaller arcade machine inside featuring an online puzzle game called Junkbot that was originally available to play on Lego's website back in 2001.
