CB Jack Jones agrees to deal with Dolphins
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Dolphins have agreed to terms with former Patriots and Raiders corner Jack Jones. It's a one-year deal for the veteran.
Jones was a 2022 fourth-round pick in New England and was waived in November 2023 after being benched in the wake of missing curfew on a road trip. He was claimed off of waivers in Las Vegas and he started 16 of the 17 games he played for the Raiders in 2024.
Jones had 69 tackles, three interceptions, and an interception return for a touchdown in those 17 appearances, but he was released after the regime change for the Raiders this offseason. Given the inexperienced corners already on the Dolphins roster, he should have a shot at a starting role in Miami this year as well.

Jake Ferguson signs four-year extension with Cowboys
Micah Parsons is still waiting for a new contract in Dallas, but one of his teammates landed an extension on Sunday. The Cowboys announced that they have signed tight end Jake Ferguson to a four-year extension. It's a $52 million deal with $30 million in guaranteed money. New York Giants training camp: Top 5 plays from Week 1
The New York Giants wrapped up their first week of training camp on Sunday under overcast East Rutherford skies and with their shells on. There were many highs and lows throughout the week, but more reasons for optimism than pessimism. The offense looks like an entirely different unit than a year ago, while the defensive front seven flashed utter dominance. Darius slays Veteran wide receiver Darius Slayton electrified Sunday's crowd early in practice, hauling in a dazzling one-handed catch along the sideline. Cowboys sign tight end Jake Ferguson to a 4-year, $52 million extension
OXNARD, Calif. (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys signed tight end Jake Ferguson to a four-year, $52 million extension Sunday. The deal includes a $12 million signing bonus. A fourth-round pick in 2022, Ferguson is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He had 59 catches for 494 yards but did not have a touchdown reception last season. The previous year, he posted career highs with 71 catches for 761 yards and five TDs. Ferguson dealt with knee and concussion issues last year but still started 14 games. This deal comes as two-time All-Pro defensive end Micah Parsons remains in negotiations for his own extension, entering the final season of his rookie deal.
