Video: Half-Naked MNS Leader's Son Caught Abusing Marathi-Speaking Woman, Shiv Sena Slams
Nirupam shared a video on X and said, "Drunk out of his senses. Half-naked. An MNS leader's son is hurling abuses at a Marathi-speaking woman. On top of that, he's flaunting his father's influence. See the real face of those who claim to protect Marathi pride. Are these the same MNS people attacking Hindus under the pressure of Muslims?"
The incident occurred amid instances of Raj Thackeray's supporters thrashing non-Marathi speakers over the language controversy in Maharashtra.
Language Row In Maharashtra
Earlier, on July 5, Shiv Sena (UBT) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) held a joint rally called 'Awaaz Marathicha' at Worli Dome in Mumbai. The event marked the first time in nearly twenty years that Uddhav and Raj Thackeray shared the stage. The rally came after the Maharashtra government scrapped two Government Resolutions (GRs) that aimed to introduce Hindi as a third compulsory language.
The now-withdrawn orders regarding the implementation of the three-language formula in state schools had sparked widespread protests from the Shiv Sena (UBT), MNS, and the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction).

‘Big drama': BJP on Rahul Gandhi's protest plan
Bengaluru: Calling the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi's plan for protest against alleged election fraud in Bengaluru a 'big drama', the Karnataka BJP said on Thursday that the Congress introduced irregularities in elections, asserting that such a party cannot make allegations about election irregularities. Karnataka Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka claimed that it was proven in court that former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi herself committed election irregularities. 'Rahul Gandhi's visit to Karnataka on August 5 is a big drama. There is no government functioning here. Instead, there is a fight for the Chief Minister's chair. To cover that up, the issue of election irregularities is being raised,' he claimed. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has announced that a protest against alleged voter fraud will be held under the leadership of the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on August 5. Ashoka said that allegations were being made so many years after the election, without going to court when they happened, adding that this was being done to cover up zero development in Karnataka. 'If there was evidence, they would have gone to the court. Since there is no evidence, they are taking to the streets and protesting. When the Lok Sabha elections were held in the state, Congress was in power. They should specify which official did this,' he said. On the honey trap, Karnataka LoP said that the case created a ruckus in the Assembly, and the government had given a report saying that this incident never happened. 'The Minister's words have no value. Whatever a Minister says becomes the government's statement. Such statements have been put into a washing machine and cleaned. It is not known whose pressure is on the police. This government is covering up irregularities,' he said. Ashoka further stated that the drug mafia had grown in Mysuru, the native of CM Siddaramaiah. 'The Home Department is not taking any action. As a result of all this, such a drug peddling network had come to light. Maharashtra police coming here and making arrests is an insult to our police department,' he said. On fertiliser crisis claims, Ashoka asked, "How much fertiliser has come to the state every month? How much stock is there? How much has been allocated to which district? The state government should provide information. Instead of delivering the stocked fertiliser to farmers, the government has handed it over to middlemen." On the Malegaon blast case, Karnataka LoP said that the Congress government imposed the case on Hindus and coined the term Hindu terrorism. 'By portraying Hindus as terrorists to appease Muslims, Congress has faced embarrassment,' claimed Ashoka.

Founded by Savarkar, revived by Godse's niece: Abhinav Bharat ‘vindicated', hails Malegaon acquittals
Originally floated by freedom fighter V D Savarkar in 1904 to carry out an armed struggle against the British and revived in post-Independence India, the Abhinav Bharat hit the headlines almost two decades ago after some of its members, including Lt Col Prasad Purohit, were accused of masterminding the 2008 Malegaon blasts. On Thursday, as a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court acquitted all the accused in the case, Milind Joshirao, a Pune resident who claims to be the organisation's head, said false allegations had been levelled against the outfit and the term 'saffron terror' was coined. 'The judgment shows that all allegations against Abhinav Bharat and Hindus arrested in the bomb blast case were false,' he said, hailing the verdict. Savarkar, also a Hindutva ideologue, had dissolved Abhinav Bharat in 1952, saying there was no need for an armed struggle in independent India and urged the youth to join the defence forces to serve the country. It was revived only in 2006 in Raigad by his brother Narayan's daughter-in-law Himani Savarkar, along with a group of historians, intellectuals, and activists. Himani, who later became the President of the revived organisation, is the daughter of Gopal Godse, the elder brother of Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse. According to Himani, Abhinav Bharat, which was registered as a Trust on February 9, 2007, was revived to 'generate a sense of patriotism among youth,' create awareness on social issues and apprise them about 'injustice being meted out against Hindus'. The organisation aimed to fulfil its aims through lectures, discussions and seminars in colleges and public platforms within and outside Maharashtra. According to investigators who probed the Malegaon blasts, the Abhinav Bharat was an 'organised crime syndicate' whose members had been active since 2003. It was alleged that Lt Col Purohit, who was accused of procuring explosives from Kashmir for the attack, played a key part in the organisation's revival. Investigators also claimed that the Abhinav Bharat wanted to 'turn India into a Hindu Rashtra called Aryavart and place a government-in-exile' as its members were 'dissatisfied with the Constitution'. Its members were also accused of planning to train people in guerrilla warfare to eliminate people who opposed a Hindu Rashtra. 'It is unfortunate that an organisation undertaking constructive activities for society was harassed,' Purohit said after the verdict. Maharashtra ATS chargesheet claimed that Himani, in her statement, mentioned that Purohit discussed the Malegaon location during a meeting in Bhopal for taking revenge against Muslims. However, in a January 2009 interaction with The Indian Express she denied making any such mention in her statement during the probe. She passed away in 2015. Her son Satyaki Savarkar said his mother 'suffered a lot due to this case as false narratives of saffron terrorism were propagated'. Another acquitted member of the Abhinav Bharat, Ajay Rahirkar, was the treasurer of the organisation at the time of his arrest in 2008. Investigators alleged that Rahikar's house in Erandwane of Pune served as the 'head office' of Abhinav Bharat. However, Rahikar's advocate Nitin Apte said the body is a registered Trust and was not banned by the government. Joshirao, whom the NIA declared hostile, said though Abhinav Bharat was branded as an extremist outfit and its documents were seized, it continued to work in the 'national interest'. 'I had told the court on record how I was threatened by ATS officers to implicate RSS leaders and (Uttar Pradesh CM) Yogi Adityanath,' he said.

Celebrations outside Lt Col Purohit's Pune home after Malegaon verdict
Celebrations erupted outside Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit's residence on Law College Road in Pune on Thursday, after a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court acquitted all seven accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, including Purohit. Members of the right-wing organisation Patit Pawan Sanghatana, along with residents from Erandwane, gathered near the residence, displaying congratulatory banners, waving saffron flags, bursting crackers, and distributing sweets. (HT PHOTO) Members of the right-wing organisation Patit Pawan Sanghatana, along with residents from Erandwane, gathered near the residence, displaying congratulatory banners, waving saffron flags, bursting crackers, and distributing sweets. While Purohit and his family were away in Mumbai, supporters assembled to express solidarity and jubilation over the verdict. A saffron flag was hoisted atop the officer's residence as a symbolic gesture. 'The Congress government popularised the term 'Bhagwa Atankwad' (saffron terror) to defame Hindus, but the court verdict has put a full stop to that narrative. Once Lt Col Purohit returns to Pune, we will give him a grand welcome,' said Swapnil Naik, a member of the Patit Pawan Sanghatana. Residents also joined the celebrations. Amar Barwe, who lives in the neighbourhood, said, 'Hats off to his courage. Our lane today was celebrating — crackers were being burst, sweets distributed — it was a festive atmosphere. And why shouldn't it be? A falsely implicated person is allowed to walk free after spending 17 years in jail for something he didn't do.' The special court, in a detailed order running over 3,000 pages, stated there was 'no reliable and cogent evidence' against the accused. It added that terrorism has no religion and that convictions cannot rest on perceptions or assumptions. The Malegaon blast occurred on September 29, 2008, when an explosive device strapped to a motorcycle detonated near a mosque in the communally sensitive town of Malegaon in Nashik district, about 200 km from Mumbai. The blast killed six people and injured 101 others.
