#SHOWBIZ: Nadeera and Hael duet leads Top 10 new Raya songs this year
Entertainment portal Akses Malaysia recently revealed its Top 10 most trending Raya songs of 2025, and they included duets by Dolla's former singer Syasya Rizal and singer-actress Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, Anugerah Juara Lagu contenders Hael Husaini Razmi and Nadeera Zaini, and pop queen Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza.
Leading the list of 2025's top 10 Raya songs, as measured by YouTube presence, is Hael's and Nadeera's Meriah Lain Macam, an upbeat song about young Malaysians cherishing their loved ones during Hari Raya and seeking forgiveness for past mistakes. To date it has garnered about 16 million views on YouTube.
Former One Nation Emcees lead singer Mimi Norhisham or Mimifly appears to be the most talked-about artiste this Raya season, largely because of her new Raya song Raya Serumpun that comes with a colourful, stylish and (to certain people) daring music video.
Raya Serumpun has even been hailed by pop king Anuar Zain as his favourite new Raya song, for its soul, energy and positive vibes, not to mention Mimi's "sexy" dance moves and her brilliant combination of hip-hop, Asli, and pop sounds.
The real message behind this song, however, is the need for Malaysians to unite and appreciate each other's cultures in the spirit of Bangsa Malaysia, and it has garnered 14 million YouTube views.
Syasya and Fazura's duet, with the cutesy title Raya Pum Pang, comes next with 4 million YouTube views.
This cheerful and boisterous duet combines modern and traditional pop, and is complemented with a special, yet simple dance move.
Siti, as the country's number one singer, definitely ranks high up every list, and her new Raya single Raya Nak Ke Mana? is fourth-placed.
Catchy with meaningful lyrics, this sing-along song is an easy-listening tune to accompany every balik kampung journey, for it is all about keeping Raya traditions alive.
Raya Nak Ke Mana? has also garnered 4 million views on YouTube.
Another Siti who is a sweetheart to most music lovers, Siti Nordiana, shows her perennial sweet side with the melodious and soothing Hari Lebaran.
This song is number five, and talks about scrumptious Raya food, the warmth of being with one's family and seeking forgiveness in the spirit of kindness.
The other top five songs are Wany Hasrita's Raya Telah Tiba, Umairah's Tak Balik Raya which is specially for those who have to work during Raya, Dayang Nurfaizah's Jodoh Hari Raya about finding love during Raya, the Aisha Retno and Aziz Harun duet Ketipak Ketipung Raya which is an update of their 2024 version, and Iman Fandi's Hari Raya Raya Raya which is humorous and comes with a special dance.

Billy Joel closing beloved New York motorcycle shop after brain disorder diagnosis
Billy Joel's beloved Long Island motorcycle shop is closing down after nearly 15 years of offering fans a free peek at his personal collection of dozens of bikes. The music icon will be shuttering 20th Century Cycles in Oyster Bay, New York, in late September and auctioning off his collection later this year because of a brain disorder he has been diagnosed with, according to a spokesperson, Claire Mercuri. In May, Joel announced that he was cancelling upcoming concerts after learning he has Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, a fluid buildup in his brain that can affect thinking, concentrating, memory, movement and more, according to the Cleveland Clinic. The 76-year-old singer, composer and pianist was having trouble with his balance but otherwise felt good, he said in an interview last month on Bill Maher's Club Random podcast. Joel, who grew up in nearby Hicksville, opened 20th Century Cycles in late 2010 as a place to maintain and repair his motorcycles, restore and customise ones he bought and showcase his collection for the public at no charge. "It's basically promoting an aesthetic here," he said in a 2013 YouTube video filmed at the shop. "I like older style. I like the automotive style from the '30s to the '60s. I wanted to collect a whole bunch of those kinds of bikes, put 'em in one place and let people see what that era of bike looked like. Because it's starting to be a lost aesthetic.' He said he also wanted to bring foot traffic and business to downtown Oyster Bay - a ritzy waterfront community about 25 miles (40km ) east of midtown Manhattan - where part of the street that includes 20th Century Cycles was renamed Billy Joel Way in 2023. "I've been living in this community for a long time,' he said in the video. "I actually grew up not far from here. And I'd like to get a little interest going into the town and the village.' Joel's nearby home in Centre Island is listed for US$29.9mil, and he has been living in South Florida, while keeping a home in Sag Harbor on Long Island. The shop became a popular stop for motorcycle enthusiasts and tourists. It was home to Joel's collection of more than 75 bikes, dating back all the way to the 1940s and including Harley-Davidsons, Triumphs, Ducatis, Moto Guzzis, Indians and BMWs. One of the most valuable, he said, was a 1952 Vincent Rapide, which can sell for tens of thousands of dollars and sometimes more, according to auction sites. "I think everybody in Oyster Bay would agree that it's a big loss," said Ted Bahr, who owns a vintage rock poster gallery next to 20th Century Cycles. "Billy's place is visited on weekends by dozens and dozens of people, typically on motorcycles but also people in cars,. People come up and look at the window all the time. I mean it's a real destination. Billy Joel is a real superstar, and he is a hometown boy, so it's really unfortunate." The motorcycles that were in the shop have already been moved out. But it has been open on recent weekends selling new, used and vintage motorcycle parts that were still in stock there. Joel's enthusiasm for motorcycles dates back decades. In 1982, he was riding a motorcycle on Long Island when he was struck by a car that ran a red light, injuring his left thumb and dislocating his right wrist. He spent about a month in the hospital. He has also ridden motorcycles in various benefits for 9/11 first responders, breast cancer and other causes over the years. A date for the auction of his collection has not been set. – AP

(Video) G-Dragon Surprised Fans With Daisy Flowers On 37th Birthday
On 18th August 2025 (Monday), fans across the globe celebrate the 37th birthday of Korean superstar G-Dragon (지드래곤). While in most cases, the fans are the ones giving the gifts, the singer was the one who was more generous on his special day. In commemoration of his birthday, G-Dragon reportedly prepared two birthday events for his fans. Last week, the star had prepaid for 14 cafes across South Korea to offer 188 free drinks each throughout his birthday week, totalling 2,632 drinks. Later on his birthday, his fan club shared about a special 'Pink Spaceman' event that will take place around Hongdae and Hangang. For the event, a mysterious man dressed in a pink spacesuit walked around the two areas, handing out daisies for those who knew the special 'code name'. Daisies are flowers closely associated with G-Dragon and are even the motif for his lightstick. As such, fans in the area made time to find the pink spaceman to grab a daisy for themselves. However, upon meeting the spaceman, many were convinced that the man in the suit was G-Dragon. One fan explained, 'I think the Pink (Space)Man is GD. 1. His height is similar (to GD), 2. His dance moves stood out, 3. When I called 'Jiyong', he looked back automatically.' Unfortunately, the suit's helmet did too good a job at concealing the man's identity, and G-Dragon also never clarified the rumours. Nevertheless, fans are praising the BIGBANG (빅뱅) leader for preparing the event, even walking around in the suit to celebrate his birthday with fans. Besides the two events, G-Dragon was also featured in two new projects on his birthday. The rapper was featured in Vince's (빈스) new song, 'CHA CHA CHA (차차차)', and a video on comedian Yoo Byung Jae's (유병재) YouTube channel. At the same time, BIGBANG is also celebrating their 19th anniversary today (19th August 2025), with fans from all over the world chiming in with congratulatory messages for the K-pop group. Even on his birthday, G-Dragon can't hide his generosity and love for fans. We can't wait to see what the star has in store for fans in the future. In the meantime, check out his featuring on 'CHA CHA CHA' and his appearance on Yoo Byung Jae's YouTube video: Sources: Twitter (1)(2)(3)(4)
