Kieran Trippier reveals he split from his wife Charlotte a YEAR ago as he speaks out after months of speculation about his marriage
Former England footballer Kieran Trippier has revealed he split from his wife Charlotte more than a year ago.
The Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur star announced the news after months of speculation over the state of their marriage.
In a statement on his Instagram stories, Trippier wrote: 'I have never commented on my private life but the tabloids seem to want to continue Writing force narratives I feel I have no choice but to confirm publicly that myself and Charlotte separated over a year ago.
'I have not commented previously as it is a private matter and we want to protect to our children.'
Tripper's announcement comes days after it was claimed that Charlotte was consulting divorce lawyers.
Meanwhile, the footballer, 34, was reportedly seen mingling in Ibiza with another woman this week.
The Newcastle United player was spotted partying with Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry and her pals including Love Island star Jess Harding at Ushuaia club on the White Isle.
Kieran and Charlotte married in 2016 and have three children together.
Sources say that they were keen to keep their split a secret so their kids would not have to deal with any upset.
However, it has been reported that Charlotte has a new property where she lives without Keiran.
Rumours of their split began during last year's Euros in Germany when Charlotte unfollowed her husband on Instagram on the end of the England's final group game.
She also didn't jet to Germany like the other WAGs.
She then posted a cryptic message on social media, saying: 'Sooner or later you get over the s*** you swore you'd never get over and it's the best feeling in the world.'
Further posts included the caption 'the sun is shining, happy Monday', where Charlotte was seen sitting in the car listening to music while she waited to pick up her children from school.

Kieran Trippier speaks out on his marriage woes after mystery woman is exposed
Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier, who made some 54 appearances for England across seven years, has been spotted partying with Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry in Ibiza Kieran Trippier last night set the record striaght on his relationship status - confirming his marriage is over. The Newcastle United defender, 34, spoke out on Instagram after he was spotted getting close with reality TV star Chloe Ferry. Trippier, who played 54 times for England, told fans he is moving on following the breakdown of his marriage with 36-year-old Charlotte, with whom he shares two children. "Myself and Charlotte separated over a year ago. I have not commented previously as it is a private matter and we want to protect our children. We ask the media to respect our privacy in the same way," Trippier, who joined Newcastle from Atlético Madrid in 2022, posted on social media. The footballer had been seen partying with Chloe, 29, at Ibiza nightclub Ushuaia last week. Pictures showed Trippier with his arm around the reality star, who has been a regular on Geordie Shore since 2015. Video footage emerged in May last year showing Trippier lifting up blonde call centre worker Frankie Carmichael, 27, in Newcastle karaoke bar Cosy Joes. Several months later, the footballer wasn't wearing his wedding ring in photographs taken at a train station. In May this year, the Magpies ace was also photographed with another blonde woman on a night out in Newcastle. His estranged wife Charlotte, whom married Trippier in 2016 in Cyprus, is reportedly taking "legal advice" over their marriage. Usually one of the more private England WAGs, Charlotte previously described herself as "a princess who has found her prince." The couple's £3.8million family home went on sale amid rumours of a break-up last year. Chloe, meanwhile, has never previously been married despite a three-year relationship with Sam Gowland, who was also in MTV hit Geordie Shore. They split in 2020 after Sam had left the programme, though Chloe remains as a popular character. Chloe, from Newcastle, was in Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 but was evicted after just one week. It is unclear how she met Trippier, who has made nearly 100 appearances for Newcastle since joining in 2022 as an Eddie Howe signing. Howe had worked with the footballer previously at Burnley, where Trippier initially spent time on loan before making the switch permanent in 2012. The pacey full-back got his first England cap in 2017 - during his time at Tottenham Hotspur - and went onto make 54 appearances for his country before retiring from international duty last summer. His sole England goal was iconic, a glorious free-kick against Croatia in the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.

Danny Dyer reveals bizarre diet trick that helps him 'keep the weight off' but admits it's a struggle
Danny Dyer has revealed his bizarre diet idea that helps him 'keep the weight off' on Wednesday. The EastEnders star, 47, admitted that while he does find his hack effective, it does become a 'struggle.' Speaking to Louis Theroux on his podcast, in quotes obtained by The Sun, Danny explained: 'I want to build up to not eating anything on Monday. 'I fast in the day just to keep the weight off. I feel like if you fast, it's good for your body as well. 'But it's a struggle. Mondays are s**te anyway. 'So you know you got to look forward to your dinner on a Monday. But I do fast during the day until the afternoon.' Danny added: 'Just liquids so your body can start to eat itself. You've got to drink plenty of water while you're doing it and it does work.' Elsewhere he discussed the moment he realised he was 'destroying' his life with drugs and credited his EastEnders co-star Luisa Bradshaw-White for telling him he had an issue. During the interview, the pair discussed how Danny's moment of clarity to make a change came after being 'off his head' following the NTA s back in 2017. Louis kicked off the conversation by asking the star: 'On Desert Island Discs. You talk about not being able to put your trousers on...' referring to the day after the NTAs. Danny candidly replied: 'I had a moment of clarity where I had been on it all night after the NTAs. 'I think I'd won and that's always on like a Tuesday or something and I had to go to work. 'There's another thing with EastEnders, is that they go, "Yeah, come celebrate NTAs, but you are up at seven in the morning". So anyway, I'd just overdone it again and I just could not work out how to get my jeans on. Wanting Danny to explain further, Louis asked him: 'Which part of it?' Danny replied: 'I was just sitting on my en suite toilet trying to work out what leg goes in what, and I don't why. 'I've sort of had many of them moments over the years of me being completely off my head. 'But that one really resonated with me. It was more because I looked up, my wife was just watching me and she looked shattered and she looked ill. 'And of course, you know, the drug taking and the madness that comes with it, you're destroying yourself and your body and you're slowly killing yourself, but you also, you're really upsetting the people around you. 'I just looked at her, even through this moment, I was off my head. But everything seemed to just sort of go, what the f*ck are you doing to people around you that love you? 'And it was that moment and I could hear Artie, my son, who's now 11, he must have been 3. He was running around downstairs and I think I'd got rid of the last straggler out the house.' When asked what the time would have been Danny added: 'Well it would've been about 6.30-6.45.' Clarifying further, Louis asked the star: 'What in the morning?' To which Danny replied: 'Yeah, So I had a car picking me up to take me to work and it was just this moment I thought, "s**t, you're going to die. 'You're going to kill yourself. You're not happy. You're spanking all your money on drugs. You're destroying everything around you." He continued: 'It's weird, that moment, because I went straight to work that day and I was a bit off my head and I did say, "Listen, I need help. I can't do this anymore, 'I need help. I don't know what it is, but this is a crossroads in my life where I need a gear change and I need it now and I don't think I'm going to survive this year". Crediting his co-star, he added: 'And so, you know, I want give a shout out to Louisa Bradshaw White, who played my sister Tina, who really came to the front for me, more than anybody else. 'She'd always said that she thinks I've got an issue and problem. No one else would say that to me… I don't know, people don't want to busy themselves in your life either. 'She would always say, "whenever you're ready" you know, that was her vibe with me and then I was ready.' When Louis said he wondered if Louisa had been through something similar, Danny said: 'She's had her issues like a lot of people have really, and a lot of people in my life, 'I've seen a lot of people go through some quite heavy stuff and always thought, "oh f*cking hell, that's quite heavy, glad I'm not that bad." Actually, turns out I was, it just took me a longer route to get there. In 2019, Danny revealed that in his past he binged on crack cocaine and was in such a 'dark place' that he was 'slowly committing suicide'. He told the i newspaper at the time: 'I was in such a dark place, I was slowly committing suicide. I had no hope, I hated myself, couldn't look in the mirror for more than five seconds. He recalled one of his darkest moments as staying up all night smoking crack before appearing in his mentor Harold Pinter's play Celebration back in 2001 at New York's Lincoln Center. He confessed: 'I was abusing myself so much, my brain wasn't ready and I didn't have a clue what to say. 'The blood rushed from my feet to my head and I was petrified. I felt so vulnerable.' Marcus Rashford 'emerges as SHOCK target for English Champions League club' - as Man United outcast looks to get his career back on track this summer
Newcastle are reportedly eyeing-up a shock move for Man United outcast Marcus Rashford this summer. Rashford, 27, has been exiled at Old Trafford, last playing for the Red Devils in December and he was loaned out to Aston Villa for the second half of the season. The forward impressed at Villa Park scoring four goals and adding six assists in 17 appearances in all competitions, but his future remains up in the air and he is not in Ruben Amorim 's plans. The 27-year-old's contract, which sees him earn £315,000-per-week, runs until 2028, and his wages could prove to be a stumbling block to any transfer. However, according to The Sun, Newcastle are ready to move for Rashford this summer and take him out of his United limno. The report claims that the Magpies believe they can provide the forward with an ideal platform to rebuild his career, while they would also offer him Champions League football. Mail Sport has previously reported how Rashford's dream move is to join Barcelona and his agent met with Deco, the Catalan giants' sporting director, last month, but no transfer has subsequently materialised. United value Rashford at around £40million and would like to facilitate a permanent exit, but the report goes on to add that Newcastle are keen to sign him on a loan deal. Any money United make from a potential Rashford sale would count as pure profit in their PSR calculations. Rashford is understood to want to play in the Champions League as the 62-cap England international aims to win a place in Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad next summer. Rashford was called up by Tuchel back in March, but he was absent from this month's internationals after missing the final period of the season due to a hamstring injury. The report adds that Newcastle view Rashford as an extra option to complement talisman Alexander Isak, who is expected to remain at St James' Park this summer despite being viewed as an ideal signing for several clubs. Meanwhile, shortly after Rashford was first excluded by Amorim for the Manchester Derby in December, he dropped the bombshell that he is ready for a 'new challenge and the next steps.' 'For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps,' he told Henry Winter in an interview. 'When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. You're not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That's me as a person. 'If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me.' When asked if he would always be a Red at heart, Rashford – who has been at the club from the age of seven and who made his debut in 2016 - replied: 'Yes! 100%. 100%.' Before he departed to Villa on a deal which included a £40m option to buy, Amorim had said Rashford 'has to change' to win back his place and it seems unlikely that he will play for United again. United have also already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves this summer and are hoping to add Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, knocking Rashford further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
