
‘They started pulling Shah Rukh Khan's hair': Tiku Talsania recalls fans' craze for star, how he was brought back safe
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and veteran actor Tiku Talsania have worked in several films, including Devdas, Duplicate, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Oh Darling Yeh Hai India, and others. In a conversation with ANI, Tiku Talsania recalled collaborating with the superstar, revealing Shah Rukh once gave him his car to drive.
Considering it a 'big' moment, Talsania shared, ' Unhone ne nayi gaadi khareedi to mujhe gaadi ki ride di, and I said ki chalau mai, to unhone kaha le jao. I went to Nariman Point and came back. It was a big thing for me that Shah Rukh Khan let me drive his car' (He bought a new car and gave me a ride in it, and I asked if I could drive the car, and he allowed me).' He praised the superstar and called him a wonderful actor, 'Shah Rukh Khan to bahut bade actor hai…uski kaam ki fehrisht bahut badi hai … His merit list is much higher than his work. That is why he is called King Khan'. Talsania recalled working with him in the 1995 Ketan Mehta directorial project Oh Darling Yeh Hai India.
'We were shooting Oh Darling Yeh Hai India. I got a little heated there, and then he (Shah Rukh Khan) asked what happened. I said the cheque has been bounced six times; the money has not come. Still, we are working on the sets.' He also recalled the craze of fans for SRK, saying, 'Fans came and started pulling his hair, because they were so much in love with him. We anyhow managed to bring him back on the sets and there were many such memories.' The ace star also worked with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in the 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna, and he shared that he would love to be part of its sequel as well if it is made and replied 'Why not? It's an iconic film.'
After entertaining the audience with his memorable comic roles, the actor expressed his desire to play a villain. 'Every actor wants to play different roles.' Tiku Talsania also talked about his upcoming Gujarati film, Jai Mata Ji-Let's Rock: 'I liked the script of the film and the approach of the director, so I decided to do the film.' The film is directed by Manish Saini, and it is set to release on May 9.
Tiku Talsania is best known for his comic roles in films like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Ishq, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Andaz Apna Apna, Hungama, and Dhamaal, among others.
Tiku's daughter Shikha is also an actor. She has worked in films such as Veere Di Wedding and Wake Up Sid.

At the Babulnath Temple, they offered prayers, and the next day, the group went to Siddhivinayak Temple, one of Mumbai's most famous religious spots. Dakota wore traditional attire and was seen chatting happily with Sonali and Gayatri as they walked through the temple grounds. Break-up rumours surround Chris and Dakota While their temple visits showed a peaceful side, Chris and Dakota's relationship has been in the news for other reasons. Reports say they have split. A source told PEOPLE magazine, 'It feels final this time.' Neither Chris nor Dakota's teams have commented on this. Earlier in 2024, it was said that the couple had been engaged for years but were not rushing to marry. India's highest-paid OTT actor earned ₹125 crore for 7 episodes, more than Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan's salary
Streaming platforms are undeniably reshaping the definition of stardom. Gone are the days when people thought OTT was for unconventional actors. In fact, this A-list Bollywood actor has broken all boundaries, outshining Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Earning a staggering ₹ 125 crore for a single show, he's the highest-paid actor on OTT with a net worth of ₹ 427 crore (approximately $50 million USD), as per multiple reports. Ajay became the highest-paid OTT actor in 2021 when he signed for the Hindi adaptation of the hit British series, Luther, Rudra: Edge of Darkness. Starring as the cop with a dark history, he reportedly charged more than ₹ 100 crore for the seven-episode show. As per a report of Bollywood Hungama, Ajay was paid almost ₹ 18 crore per episode of the show. In total, he took home ₹ 125 crore and became the highest-paid actor in Indian entertainment history. His salary beats big players like Shah Rukh Khan who reportedly charged between ₹ 90 and ₹ 100 crore for his films Raees and Zero. Salman Khan is believed to charge a similar amount for his film, Bharat. Around the same time, Salman reportedly received a payment of approximately ₹ 50 crore for his 2021 film Antim: The Final Truth. He is likely to earn a little more for his film Radhe which was also released in the same year. Besides them, Saif Ali Khan who became the first superstar of Bollywood to foray into OTT with Netflix's Sacred Games, charged way less than Ajay. As per a report of GQ, other promiment OTT stars such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have received payments between ₹ 5-10 crore for their OTT shows. Jaideep Ahlawat reportedly received ₹ 20 crore as his salary for Patal Lok Season 2. Ajay was last seen in Raid 2. He has several projects in the pipeline, including Son of Sardaar 2, De De Pyaar De 2 and Dhamaal 4. However, all of these will see a theatrical release. The actor is yet to announce his next OTT project.
