BLACKPINK's Rosé beats Lisa on Billboard chart, becomes highest-debuting female K-pop soloist with On My Mind
The track debuted at No. 60 on the chart, according to data revealed on July 9, 2025. It now holds the record for the highest debut by a K-pop female soloist on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2025. Notably, it overtakes fellow member Lisa 's Born Again, which had earlier entered at No. 68.
A new peak in Rosé's Billboard journey
On My Mind is not only the top debut by a K-pop female soloist this year. The song is also now the second-highest-debuting song by a K-pop female soloist in Hot 100 history. It trails only Rosé's own track APT. The feat continues Rosé's impressive streak as a solo artist. This achievement reaffirms her global popularity outside of BLACKPINK's group activities.
On My Mind was officially released on June 27, 2025, at 1 p.m. KST. The emotional pop track brings together Alex Warren's heartfelt storytelling with Rosé's signature vocal tone. The result is a compelling and catchy duet. The collaboration was highly anticipated by both fandoms, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
Meanwhile, fans have taken to social media to celebrate Rosé's latest achievement. They praise her ability to consistently push boundaries as both a K-pop idol and global pop artist.
While Rosé shines on the solo front, BLACKPINK as a group has also returned to the spotlight. On July 11, the group dropped their long-awaited comeback single, JUMP, along with its high-energy music video. It marked the end of a three-year hiatus from official group promotions.
Earlier, on July 5, the quartet reunited on stage to kick off their DEADLINE World Tour in Goyang, South Korea. The tour marks BLACKPINK's full-scale return to live performances. It will continue across North America, Europe, and Asia through early 2026.
With Rosé breaking chart records and BLACKPINK launching a major world tour and new music, the group is clearly entering a powerful new era.

How travel turns strangers into friends
Friends just get you! Some grow up with you, others find their way to you on a road trip, a trek, or while waiting for hostel check-in. Think of Rani (played by Kangana Ranaut) in the movie Queen (2013), who stumbles into a friendship with Vijaylakshmi (Lisa Haydon) while wandering through Paris. Or the trio in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) (played by Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, and Farhan Akhtar), who set off for an adventurous escape and return with deeper bonds and lighter hearts. On Friendship Day today, we speak to people who made lifelong friends through travel — because nothing forges bonds like an adventure away from home. Lisa Haydon and Kangana Ranaut in a still from the film Queen, in which their characters developed an unexpected friendship From trail mates to soul sisters Sharanya Munsi met Dilshad during a snow trek to Brahmatal in 2019. Dilshad, a fashion designer from Goa, was travelling with friends, while Sharanya—a seasoned solo trekker—was used to going it alone. Sharanya Munsi and Dilshad 'We instantly connected and stayed in touch through Instagram,' Sharanya recalls. A trail-side chat sparked a lasting friendship, deepened by shared pets, K-dramas, and long talks across cities. During COVID, Dilshad even designed Sharanya's bridal face masks. 'She's one of the first people I call when I need help with trip logistics,' Sharanya says. 'We may live far apart, but she's become a comfort and constant outside of my usual circles.' Travel companions for life In May 2019, Kanika Yadav from Faridabad travelled to Ladakh with childhood friend Shubham Dhupar, joined by his friend Rahul Grover and colleague Gagandeep Kaur, strangers to her then. The group calls themselves 'travel companions for life.' 'We were all at crossroads in our lives, and I had never met the other two before,' she recalls. But the mountains had plans of their own. On the trip, Kanika and Rahul bonded and stayed in touch abroad, turning friendship into love; they married in 2023. Meanwhile, Gagandeep and Shubham also grew close and tied the knot this February. 'Despite all the distance and change, one trip gave me my husband, brought my best friend his partner, and made us all each other's chosen people,' says Kanika. Today, the group calls themselves 'travel companions for life.' A birthday changed everything Shivani Relia (28), from Delhi, never expected her solo birthday trip to Udaipur in 2021 to lead to a lifelong friendship. Shivani Relia and Shruti Sharma She had checked into Zostel early and was waiting in the café when she struck up a conversation with Shruti Sharma (34) from Bangalore, who was also travelling solo. 'We just started talking, and everything clicked,' says Shivani. Four years later, they're still in touch and now planning a trip to the Rann of Kutch. 'Some friendships just feel easy from the start,' Shivani adds. Work trip turned to family Pamela Gupta (25) and Tejashee Kashyap (27), both from Delhi, worked in the same industry, but their paths only crossed during a work trip to Egypt. 'It started as the usual work dynamic, but it felt like we had known each other for years. We clicked instantly and began travelling together soon after,' recalls Pamela. Four countries later, their bond has only grown stronger. They've found a rhythm despite their contrasting personalities. 'We may not agree on everything, but that's the beauty of this friendship; we hold space for each other,' Pamela reflects. Today, even their mothers are close friends. She adds, We can't go a day without checking in. We're practically family now.'

Amidst much hype and anticipation around the next instalment of the billion-dollar blockbuster film, the actor was spotted in an all-new upgraded suit as he headed to the busy streets to film a portion of the film. The New Suit Much as the recent rumours suggested, Holland debuted new web-slingers on his costume, a new improvement to the wristbands he previously wore in the previous 'Spider-Man' films. Fans got a first glimpse of the web shooters while the actor was out and about on the Glasgow sets, where filming is currently underway. Tom Meets Fans Videos from the sets in Scotland, show the actor at his candid best, interacting with fans who gathered to watch him film. Tom, dressed in full costume, including his Spidey mask, was seen waving to fans and posing for pictures while making his way to the sets. The actor won hearts by pausing to pose for photos with a young fan, also dressed in a Spider-Man suit. Glasgow turned into Manhattan Going by photos that have turned up online, Holland, began his shoot in blocked-off city streets that saw the city being transformed into New York City. Sadie Sink 's Role Sadie Sink, the breakout star of the hit series 'Strenger Things', is rumored to be joining the cast, potentially playing the role of Gwen Stacy, from an alternate universe. While Sink was also previously rumoured to be in talks for the role of Jean Grey in the MCU's X-Men reboot, new rumours indicate a possibility of incorporating the character, previously seen the Andrew Garfield-led 'Amazing Spider-Man' and 'Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse'. Tom and Zendaya Return Tom and co-star Zendaya, who arrived in Scotland last month to film scenes for Christopher Nolan 's 'The Odyssey', is set to co-star once again in 'Brand New Day', which reportedly picks up after the dramatic events of 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. In the film, Peter Parker chooses to have his identity wiped from public memory following Doctor Strange's spell. With the world forgetting Spider-Man, including MJ, played by Zendaya, the question remains if the two will carry on a romantic storyline or if the addition of Sadie Sink as a mystery character will change that dynamics. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is expected to hit cinemas in 2026, ahead of 'Avengers: Doomsday'.
