Rapper Emtee is making headlines after his wife, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy, shared screenshots of his private conversations with several women.
Among them was former 'Big Brother Mzansi: Umlilo' contestant Sphesihle 'Mshini' Lekwadu, who, in the messages, appeared to be discussing a possible visit from the 'Roll Up' hitmaker.
Following the public backlash, Mshini released a statement addressing the matter.
She explained that she had been a supporter of Emtee during her time in the 'Big Brother Mzansi' house and that he contacted her after the show to thank her for the support.
'I am genuinely a fan of his music,' she said, adding that she had expressed interest in being part of one of his future music videos.

According to Mshini, their exchanges on social media were brief and, in her view, professional.
She said Emtee later asked when he could visit and where she lived, and she shared her address because she believed the discussion was 'strictly business-related' and connected to her support for his work.
She also disputed the way the messages were presented online, saying the screenshots only showed the part where she sent her address, without the full context.
Mshini emphasised that this was misleading and did not accurately represent the nature of their conversation.
She stressed that her 'intention was purely professional' and that she values her brand, supporters, and reputation.

Madonna urges Pope to visit Gaza and bring hope to its suffering children

Madonna. Picture: INSTAGRAM Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost was elected as the new Pope, replacing Pope Francis. Prevost will be known as Pope Leo XIV. In a heartfelt plea reflecting both her concern as a mother and a public figure, iconic pop star Madonna has called on Pope Leo to travel to Gaza, where a dire humanitarian crisis continues to unfurl. In an Instagram post shared on Monday, she appealed to the pontiff, urging him to "bring your light to the children before it's too late." Madonna expressed her inability to watch the suffering of children as the conflict rages on. "As a mother, I cannot bear to watch their suffering. The children of the world belong to everyone," she wrote, emphasising the universal nature of empathy towards innocent victims caught in the crossfire. Using her platform to advocate for humanitarian aid, Madonna highlighted the urgent need for change, stating, "Politics cannot affect (sic) change. Only consciousness can. Therefore, I am reaching out to a Man of God." Video Player is loading. Next Stay Close ✕ In a poignant twist, she revealed that her request coincides with her son Rocco's birthday, framing it as a personal gesture of love. "I feel the best gift I can give to him as a mother is to ask everyone to do what they can to help save the innocent children caught in the crossfire in Gaza," she shared. In addition to the plight of Palestinian children, Madonna's message included a call for compassion across the conflict. She specifically mentioned the hostages held by Hamas since the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023, affirming her belief that "everyone is suffering," including the mothers of those abducted. "I pray that they are released as well," she added, echoing a universal hope for peace and safety in a tumultuous region. She said that she is "not pointing fingers, placing blame or taking sides." As the situation in Gaza deteriorates, her call to action challenges world leaders and influencers to step beyond borders and ideologies. With urgency in her voice, she invites others to join her in advocating for the voiceless: the innocent children affected by war. As of 30 July 2025, over 63,000 people (61,805 Palestinians and 1,983 Israelis have been reported killed in the Gaza war according to the Gaza Health Ministry and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Americans living the dream right here in Mzansi

American living in South Africa is amazed by the malls here. Image: Screenshot / Iamkourtneyjad Sometimes we forget just how lucky we are to call South Africa home. Sure, we have our fair share of challenges, but there is something magical here that keeps people falling in love with our country. Ask the Americans who have packed up their lives and moved here, and they will tell you all about it. For them, the cost of living can feel like a bargain compared to back home in the US. Of course, like any move to a foreign country, it is not without its challenges. They have to adjust to our food, which can be an adventure on its own, and they also need to wrap their heads around the many different languages spoken here. Then there's South African slang, which can be equally confusing. For example, 'now now' could mean anything from two minutes to two hours, and the word 'shame' has a variety of meanings. Many Americans living in South Africa have shared their experiences on TikTok. One such African American is @Iamkourtneyjade, who posts about everything from the food she tries to how different life is here compared to the US. In one of her videos, she explains how people in Cape Town are far more relaxed and focused on enjoying life rather than the hustle culture she is used to in America. Video Player is loading. Next Stay Close ✕ She says the move has been a reset for her nervous system. A pinned video on her account describes the differences she noticed in South African malls. Aside from the presence of security and the cleanliness, she was amazed that banks are located inside malls. In one particular mall, she even came across a car dealership, which was a surprise. For her, the bottom line is that you can find almost everything under one roof, from pharmacies to coffee shops. Another American who calls South Africa home is @livingthedreamwithtia, who has lived here for over four years. She proudly calls herself a Capetonian and is now learning to speak local languages such as Afrikaans and Xhosa. An African American content creator on @voiceofourancestorch also shares his Cape Town experience. Like many others, he says he is living his best life because of the affordability, which contributes to a better quality of life. He especially loves the wide variety of food available thanks to the country's diverse cultures. When it comes to the cost of living, @bigsbuda often speaks about how he now lives in a house he could only have dreamt of in the US. He describes this as 'living the soft life.' He also appreciates being able to walk down the street without being harassed, particularly because he lives in a white neighbourhood. These are just a few examples of African Americans who have made our beautiful country their home and who appreciate it in ways that we sometimes overlook.

Like most people I watched her on Big Brother and witnessed how she supports my craft,' wrote Emtee on Tuesday morning. Mshini Lekwadu, who was a contestant on the recent season of Big Brother Mzansi, is one of the women whose private conversation with the rapper was leaked on Monday. In the screenshot conversations, after the exchange of pleasantries, the Roll–Up rapper asks where Mshini lives, to which she responds by sharing her address. Emtee then asks when he could visit the content creator, who is a tutor by profession. In her response, Mshini says that the artist may visit her that Friday. 'I know I'm not perfect. Very far from it but I have heart and empathy. My intention was to meet her personally and thank her,' said Emtee. 'She has been nothing but kind to me and I appreciate that. I'm married so I had no other intention but to say thank you and figure out a way we could work together since she's a public figure, a hard worker and a good person in general from what I see.' Unlike the one with Mshini, the chat between the rapper and Lentswe was more extensive and seemed as if the pair had an established relationship. In the first screenshot, after a brief greeting, Lentswe reminds Emtee not to forget to keep a promise he made to her, with a red lips emoji at the end of the message. Without receiving a response from Emtee, a seemingly irritated Lentswe asks: 'You not talking to me?' When Emtee asks what's going on, Lentswe asks the rapper to send her R7 000. The couple has three kids. It was reported that Emtee, whose real name is Mthembeni Ndevu, had moved out of their home after he filed for divorce in 2024. However, as recent as June this year, the rapper moved back to their home and said he was rekindling their marriage. 'I'm fighting for my family. [She] gave me three kids. We are still working on it. I got a bit of counselling,' he said in an interview on Podcast and Chill. NOW READ: WATCH: 'Don't be afraid to walk away' – Real Housewives star Beverley Steyn gets candid
