He has signed for Bundesliga side St. Pauli in what is a big blow for the League One side.
Jade-Jones has been at Peterborough since the age of nine and played 190 games after graduating the academy.
As a result, Posh would have been guaranteed a hefty fee by way of compensation if the striker had signed for another English club.
His move to Germany means Peterborough will only be granted a small training compensation fee.
MacAnthony shared his thoughts about Jade-Jones' move on X.
He wrote: 'He turned down four brilliant Championship clubs to do this move which has cost his home town club a lot of money.
"Not going to lie, it stings and makes me bitter for the moment as the kid has been with us so many years and I couldn't have been more supportive of him but we move on and don't look back.
"This is football and it can kick you in the nuts at times.'
Jade-Jones scored 18 goals in all competitions last season including 11 in League One.
He is now set to play in the top tier for the first time after St. Pauli finished 14th in the Bundesliga following promotion in 2024.

Saints acquire WR Devaughn Vele from Broncos

August 21 - The New Orleans Saints traded for wide receiver Devaughn Vele on Tuesday, sending two draft picks to the Denver Broncos to complete the exchange. The Broncos get the Saints' 2026 fourth-round pick and 2027 seventh-round pick for Vele, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Utah. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound wideout finished third on the Broncos in catches (41) and receiving yards (475) and tied for third in touchdown catches (three) as a rookie. Vele played in the Broncos' first preseason game on Aug. 9 and caught one pass for six yards. He joins a Saints receivers room that features veterans Chris Olave, Brandin Cooks and Rashid Shaheed. The Broncos' group of receivers was upgraded this offseason, including the addition of third-round draft pick Patrick Bryant, who has caught six passes for 91 yards in Denver's first two exhibition games. --Field Level Media

Bournemouth rekindle interest in Chelsea star as Blues look to contiue offloading players as the transfer window draws to a close

Bournemouth have rekindled interest in another Chelsea star after signing goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic earlier in the window. The Blues are in the midst of a wholesale clear-out as they look to redress the balance in Enzo Maresca 's squad after another summer of spending. Among the arrivals at Stamford Bridge this summer are forwards Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Jamie Gittens. Other recruits include Dario Essugo from Sporting Lisbon, and Ajax academy star Jorrel Hato. Maresca also welcomed Estevao Willian after the Palmieras teenager signed for the club last summer, but were unable to work with him due to restrictions over his age. But with the incomings, a number of players have been earmarked for outgoings, including Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell. *18+, excludes NI. Terms and conditions apply And the Cherries could yet take another star off Maresca's hands, with the club reconsidering a move for defender Axel Disasi. Daily Mail Sport first reported the south coast club's interest in the player earlier this month, but a potential move is thought to be in the early stages, with the two teams working on different solutions. Disasi joined the Blues ahead of the 2023-24 season from Monaco, making 31 Premier League appearances during his debut season. But his playing time decreased with the return of Levi Colwill and Reece James to regular competition limited the majority of his appearances for Chelsea last term to run-outs in the UEFA Conference League. The player signed a loan deal to move to Aston Villa for the second-half of the season, where he made a further 10 appearances in the top division. But the star did not fit Unai Emery's requirements enough to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign. As well as Disasi, the Blues will look to shift a further nine stars before the window shuts in September. Moves have already been agreed for players including Joao Felix, Noni Madueke, Armando Broja, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Kepa Arrizabalaga. Bournemouth are enjoying a strong end to their window after signing Ben Gannon Doak from Liverpool, alongside Petrovic, Bafode Diakite from Lille, and Rennes' Adrien Truffert.
