Zyxel Networks Smart Managed Switches Deliver Affordable, Eco-Friendly 10GbE Migration to Small- and Medium-Sized Businesses
ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure, AI- and cloud-powered business and home networking solutions, today announced the launch of XGS1935 Series Lite-L3 Smart Managed Switches, an eco-friendly portfolio of high-speed networking solutions that provide hassle-free, affordable 10GbE migration and high-performance switching technology for small- and medium-sized businesses.
XGS1935 Series switches provide growing small- and medium-sized businesses with affordable solutions that enable them to upgrade their wired networks to 10GbE technology.
Ideal for growing businesses, the 28- and 52-Gigabit port XGS1935 Series switches, which are replacing Zyxel's popular XGS1930 Series switches, deliver Gigabit connectivity to the desktop and provide 10GbE connectivity to the core to ensure network efficiency and continuous business productivity. Featuring a smart fan that offers near-silent operation, the eco-friendly switches boast improvements in energy efficiency and carbon emission reductions while providing hassle-free and affordable 10GbE migration.
Benefits and Features of XGS1935 Series Lite-L3 Smart Managed Switches
Flexible, Scalable Networking – In addition to 24 or 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports, XGS1935 Series switches are equipped with four 10GbE SFP+ uplinks which eliminate network bottlenecks and make them affordable solutions for upgrading wired networks.
Simple, Cloud-Based Management – NebulaFlex technology enables users to easily switch network management modes between standalone and the license-free Nebula cloud-management platform. The intuitive GUI gives users access to the full feature set and all configuration options of XGS1935 Series switches including enhanced QoS, Link Aggregation, IPv6, and IPv4/IPv6 Layer 3 static routing without needing to learn complex command line interface (CLI). Nebula Control Center enables users to manage XGS1935 Series switches and all Zyxel products, including access points, switches, security firewalls, and 5G/LTE mobile routers, via the cloud without the need for additional software or a hardware controller.
Power-over-Ethernet Simplifies Device Deployment – XGS1935-28HP/52HP switches support IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standards, offering 30W per port and a 375W power budget to deliver power and data through a single cable to simplify the deployment of connected devices such as surveillance systems, access control systems, and wireless access points. The default consumption mode allows delivery of only the actual power required by devices connected to the switch to enhance business ROI.
Eco-Conscious Innovation – XGS1935 Series switches are built with a more compact chassis which reduces packaging by up to 36 percent and weight by up to 22 percent, compared to the previous XGS1930 series. These efforts result in a 58% increase in units per pallet and an estimated 18.84 percent reduction in carbon emissions.
The Zyxel XGS1935 Series Lite-L3 Smart Managed Switches are available in four models, including 28- and 52-port PoE and non-PoE options:
XGS1935-28 24-port GbE Lite-L3 Smart Managed Switch with 4 10G Uplink $274.99*;
XGS1935-52 48-port GbE Lite-L3 Smart Managed Switch with 4 10G Uplink $599.99*;
XGS1935-28HP 24-port GbE PoE Lite-L3 Smart Managed Switch with 4 10G Uplink $429.99*;
XGS1935-52HP 48-port GbE PoE Lite-L3 Smart Managed Switch with 4 10G Uplink $749.99*.
* Prices subject to change without advance notice.
'XGS1935 Series switches provide growing small- and medium-sized businesses with affordable solutions that enable them to upgrade their wired networks to 10GbE technology to support the faster speeds required by an increasing number of connected devices and bandwidth-intensive network applications,' stated Tri Nguyen, Channel Sales and Product Manager at Zyxel Networks. 'The new switches offer a critical combination of simple, flexible management, high performance, eco-friendly design, and affordability that removes many barriers for small businesses that need to upgrading their networks.'

Rio Tinto seeks innovative collaborators at London Tech Week
LONDON, June 09, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rio Tinto is taking its innovation strategy directly to entrepreneurs, researchers and innovators at London Tech Week as it works to accelerate the breakthroughs needed to sustainably deliver the materials the world needs. The only mining company at London Tech Week, Rio Tinto will lead discussions on how to meet the soaring global demand for critical minerals, deliver materials at scale more sustainably, and harness innovation to deliver the technologies of tomorrow, from AI to electrification to renewables. Rio Tinto Chief Innovation Officer Dan Walker said: "Innovation is in our DNA. For over 150 years, Rio Tinto has operated at the intersection of mining and technology, and there has never been a time when innovation is needed more. "As the world faces increasingly complex challenges, from climate change and urbanisation to the energy transition and electrification, meeting the world's needs requires more materials, delivered faster, more sustainably, and with a lighter footprint at every step. "These are deeply complex issues that no organisation can solve alone. We want to find the very best innovators and entrepreneurs to join our global network of startups, universities, tech leaders and governments to help turn bold ideas into real-world solutions." Rio Tinto's expanding innovation ecosystem includes its Accelerator Program, run in partnership with early-stage investor Founders Factory, and its Ventures Fund, which support high-potential startups mining and sustainability. Last year, Rio Tinto also invested $150 million to launch the Rio Tinto Centre for Future Materials, in collaboration with five world-leading universities, to advance transformational research to accelerate progress towards net zero. Led by Imperial College London, the academic partners include The University of British Columbia, Vancouver; The University of California, Berkeley; The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg; and The Australian National University, Canberra. 'AI-First' Hype Gives Way to Reality: New Speechmatics Report Reveals What's Actually Working in AI
CAMBRIDGE, UK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--After a wave of bold 'AI-first' announcements from major tech players, many are now scaling back. Rather than betting on speculative demos, successful enterprises are treating Voice AI as critical infrastructure. Share As the AI gold rush slows, a new report from Speechmatics explores what's actually working — and where the real value lies. Titled The Voice AI Reality Check: Frontline Perspectives for Enterprise in 2025, the report zeroes in on one of the fastest-evolving areas of AI: Voice AI. Built on interviews with leaders across healthcare, compliance, media, public services, and research, it reveals a clear shift from flashy demos to embedded, operational AI — where tools assist humans, deliver measurable ROI, and quietly power core infrastructure. Report highlights include: Assistive over autonomous: The most effective deployments augment people rather than replace them. Assistive agents are driving real ROI. Multilingual as standard: Real-time code-switching is now a baseline requirement, not a bonus. Accuracy is make-or-break: With growing global concerns over AI hallucinations, precision is essential — especially in compliance-heavy environments. Voice as infrastructure: Quietly embedded tools are outperforming headline-grabbing features. Rather than betting on speculative demos, successful enterprises are treating Voice AI as critical infrastructure. It's being embedded into workflows that demand speed, accuracy, and trust — from noisy control rooms to multilingual contact centres. The report closes with future-looking predictions, outlining the rise of emotionally intelligent, adaptive, and natively multilingual voice systems — and offers guidance on what enterprises must prioritise next.
