Debbie's public outburst leaves Corrie character in shock in new video
Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) feels concerned in Coronation Street soon as Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) lashes out while at work.
Beloved character Debbie was diagnosed with dementia earlier this year. For months, the only person who knew about her health secret was brother Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard). Debbie refused to tell anyone else about it, adamant that she could handle it on her own.
This approach lasted until June. At Speed Daal, Debbie collapsed in front of her loved ones, who immediately told her she needed to go to hospital.
Debbie said that wouldn't be needed as she already knows what's wrong.
Determined to not be defined by her illness, Debbie is still working at her hotels. In upcoming episodes though, Ryan begins to wonder if this is still a wise idea.
In this new video, Debbie and Ryan are at the reception desk faced with an angry woman, who claims she didn't sleep at all because of her allergies – and that is somehow the hotel's fault.
As the woman starts filming, Debbie has no qualms about entertaining it and speaks to the camera, announcing that the hotel's duvets and pillows are hypo-allergenic for customers, but she does not have an ability to control the pollen count outside.
Lacking in empathy, Debbie heads off, leaving Ryan concerned.
In the scenes after this, Ryan steps in and manages to smooth the situation over, apologising to the guest and persuading her to delete the footage of Debbie's outburst. More Trending
In response, Debbie grabs Ryan and kisses him full on the lips as her way of saying thank you. She obviously doesn't see anything inappropriate in what she's done.

Ryan is shocked, but realises that both the outburst and the kiss could be caused by Debbie's dementia. He confides in Ronnie about what happened and tells him that he's worried about her. Ronnie is deeply concerned by what Ryan has told him.
Later, Debbie is angry with Ryan, who tells her that he was simply looking out for her because he's a friend and he cares about her.

The scales fall from Lisa's eyes in Corrie as she makes discovery about Kit
Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) has had a lot on her mind recently on Coronation Street as the recent death of a colleague brought up a lot of feelings for her about her late wife, Becky. Becky was also a police officer and she was killed while chasing a suspect. She was run over and killed by a getaway car in a tragic incident that has haunted Lisa ever since as it was veiled in a certain amount of mystery. Becky had been under investigation for corruption at the time of her death, something which meant that she and Lisa had argued on the morning she died. It also meant that Becky was denied the kind of funeral that would have seen her honoured by her fellow officers. There's also the possibility that her death might not have been an accident at all, but could have been a deliberate act arising from whatever she was involved in. Lisa has never been able to get answers to her many questions concerning Becky's death as a wall of silence seems to block all her attempts to get to the truth. In upcoming episodes she's feeling the pain of her grief even more acutely because it's the eve of her and Becky's anniversary. She skips her therapy session and goes to visit Becky's grave instead. On the anniversary itself, Carla (Alison King) and Betsy (Sydney Martin) are worried about how Lisa's coping. She insists she's fine and goes off to her therapy session. Finally she allows herself to open up to the therapist and talk about her wife. She says that she's sure there was more to Becky's death than she was ever told and worries that it was something to do with the corruption investigation. Meanwhile Carla has secretly been visiting Logan Radcliffe (Harry Lowbridge) in prison, trying to find out more about what happened to Becky. He and his brother Matty (Seamus McGoff) were involved in the incident that led to Becky's death. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? After her therapy session Lisa decides to do some digging herself and she sneaks into her boss Costello (Daon Broni)'s office, searching his email to see if there's any mention of Becky. More Trending She's disturbed to see something else, though – a request on the computer asking for access to Becky's file. It's from DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts). Lisa is puzzled about why Kit would do such a thing and why he's apparently delving into Becky's background behind her back. She tells Carla that she no longer trusts Kit and she can't work with him any more. What is Kit up to? And will Lisa ever uncover the truth about what happened to her wife? Legendary ITV police drama star 'helps police arrest real-life criminal'
An actor who spent nearly 25 years playing a police officer on The Bill has helped combat a real-life criminal. From 1984 to 2008 Jeff Stewart took on the role of PC Reg Hollis on the ITV drama series. The police procedural focused on the lives and work of one shift of police officers of all ranks, with the storylines following situations faced by uniformed officers working on the beat, as well as plainclothes detectives. Joining the series the year it began, Jeff first appeared in the premiere episode Funny Ol' Business – Cops & Robbers. By 2007 he was the last member of the cast remaining from that first episode. His character was written off the following year, with The Bill then ending in 2010. Now, it appears the 69-year-old actor took a leaf out of his character's playbook after stepping in to stop a crime. Earlier this week Southampton resident Mohamed Diallo, 29, appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court, where details of the incident were revealed. The court was that after Diallo shoplifted and attempted to escape on a bicycle, Jeff jumped into action by sitting on the suspect's legs after he fell from the bike, while officers handcuffed him. 'In policing you should always expect the unexpected, but this really wasn't on The Bill for this week,' a Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said. 'Officers making an arrest in Southampton were aided by none other than TV's Pc Reg Hollis during an incident on Wednesday 23 July. 'The officers, from Bargate Neighbourhoods Policing Team, were in the city in the afternoon when they were alerted by staff at Co-op in Ocean Way to a suspected shoplifter, who attempted to make good his escape on a bicycle.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video They continued: 'The thief, 29-year-old Mohamed Diallo, fell off the bike during his attempts to flee, before officers pounced to make their arrest. 'To their surprise, local TV legend Jeff Stewart, who played Pc Hollis for 24 years in The Bill, came to their aid by sitting on the suspect's legs while officers put him in cuffs. 'Long since retired from Sun Hill station – but he's still got it.' In video of the arrest released by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, officers thanked Jeff before asking for a group photo. He replied: 'No, sure, man. Well, I was in The Bill for 24 years, in the TV show. Yeah, I played Reg.' Diallo was charged with five counts of theft, to which he pleaded guilty. Diallo was convicted of the theft of £17.25 worth of coffee from a Co-op on July 23, theft of £69.90 worth of coffee and food items on July 17, and £54.50 of alcohol and coffee from the same shop on July 14. More Trending He also admitted stealing £80 of wine from a Sainsburys on July 14 and £63 worth of alcohol from another on April 22. He was released on bail and will be sentenced on August 29.
